For those watching, you can do the double overhand knot with a single strand as well. Mostly used as a stopper knot.

Can this knot be tied in another way? Another YT video showed it being tied differently (they called it a double overhand) but maybe it's an entirely different knot. Thank you.

Great tutorial. When you say it's not the best stopper knot, is that based on pure aesthetics or functionality? I noted that you say it doesn't look symmetrical. Though would it be just as effective as other stopper knots?

That's not a double overhand knot. It's a double-double OH knot

I agree it is not a standard double overhand knot : but I suggest that it is a double overhand bend, rather than a double overhand knot, because the double overhand technique is being used to join two lines together.
