- Are you getting lean engine codes such as P0171 to P0175? Is your car over 100,000 miles or 15 years old? The PCV hoses become brittle and deteriorate over time. This video shows how to cheaply replace the crankcase ventilation or breather hoses on a 2000 Mercedes S500/S430 but the procedure applies to other M112 (W210) and M113 engine models. As a bonus, the video also contains footage on how to clean the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor and Throttle Body on a W220 model.
only 2 minutes in, great detail, parts list, angles, thank you
Thanks, Xman.
Hello, thank you very much, very helpful
When you put back the mapsensor housing, is it possible to put first the fat hose on it at the under side?
Thx, Frans. Yes, connect hose, seat in housing, then snake hose thru...
Hey. Very good info as I am a newbee with my old w210. You mentioned an obd2 from amazon. I cannot spend $400 up so what does this cheap one can do? Thank you!
Hi Daniel, do you have an iPhone or an Android phone? I can recommend cheap scanners for you from Amazon...
Very good detail. I appreciate the time you took to set up good shots removing and replacing the MAF. Just what I needed, thanks a lot.
You are welcome, Dan, and thank you.
I hear a (wooooooo) sound comes from the back of the MAF, once the engine reaches operating temperature. It then stops and comes. Do you have idea? My car is w210 E320 1999 M112
Hello, does your engine light come on?
Hellow my Friends which diagnostica tester you got amazon for the Mercedes thsmks
Hi, what is your budget for one?
Yo lo hice y descalibre el el cuerpo de aceleración
Hi Oscar, good to hear...
@@masood-tv quite el cuerpo de aceleración y tenía un plástico pegado era del acople de las mangueras. Lo quite y limpie bien y quedó solucionado
Fabulous! Just simply fabulous! What I missed is the air intake seal between the throttle and curved intake (the last part you removed).
Thanks a lot.
very good detail I appreciated the time you took to set up good shot removing and replacing the Maf just What i need . Thanks a lot
Thanks.
thx for all you do my names abdoulkarim i have a 01 e320 base too. i wanted to know what obd and gun youd reccomend
Hello abdoulkarim - look for iCarsoft line in Amazon for a good OBD scanner for MB cars. What type of gun?
No! No silicone SPRAY! Supposedly, it will ruin your sensors!
You are right... Don't spray on sensors. Just the rubber parts as in the video.
I like how you slipped in "replace antique hoses and cover" then you are done.
Sorry، my voice didn't come out clearly...what I actually said was "intake" hoses- not antique.
Hi! What happens, if silicone spray gets into the cylinder?
How would it go to the cylinder?
@@masood-tv By spraying the hoses.
@@HappyAlexandros no, it will dry and remain attached just to applied surfaces.
@@masood-tv What would happen, if you spray silicone spray directly into the cylinder? Lets say through the intake manifold.
@@HappyAlexandros I have never tried it before and don't plan to ever. I don't think anything too good can be expected.
Amazing thank you again so well put together and has given me the skills do to this now. 👍👍
Wonderful, thank you.
Hey my name is Dee. I like your video. Where could I buy the hose ?
Hi Dee, please forward to 00:23 second of the video for the part and vendor info.
great tutorials Mr. Masood :)
I have learn a lot from your pages
Thank you, sir.
This video has helped me out immensely. Thank you so much.
Thank you.
Nice,,thanks,,helped out alot
Hi Angel, you're welcome.
There's also a direct PCV line
Hi flowerdemon, thank you. Are you referring to the fatter one that goes parallel to the right fuel lane and connects to the throttle body on the driver side?
Yes, great video though!
Thx.
Great step by step! Thank you!
Hi K Dao - thank you.
I don’t think it’s okay to open the butterfly… it will deconfigure the throttle body
Hi Diego, it does not the way I show in the video. Trust me.
@@masood-tv Please expand on what you recommend around the throttle body "butterfly".. in the video you don't just clean the edges with the screwdriver/towel but it appears that you're also opening the flap. Is that ok to do on this and w210s?
Hi Hooman - yes, it is. Just don't be too aggressive.
@@masood-tv THanks much for your reply. One question, are there any symptoms to look out for specifically around the PCV system.. I'm used to other cars by doing a rubber glove test on the oil filler checking for suction vs. blowing .. is that applicable to these cars or should I be mindful of some other symptom (short of any ODB code/error)
Hi Holman, no problem. Na, these cars are built like tanks. You can apply all those concets, including spraying fluids...
Very nice done
Thank you, Kalin.
Thank you 🙏🇸🇦
You are welcome.
Excellent Video
Thx.
Stop saying Uuuu...
Thank you, Jeff. Will be mindful of that in future videos.
