Outstanding ride! For me, the longer the better! Hey Paul, wouldn't have guessed that the bike of yours would have held up so well on that gravel trail. Nice! I'm sure you both enjoyed this ride immensely.
To be honest I'm a little surprised too but with 1600 miles on her she's still going strong. Not the best tires for gravel either, (Schwalbe Marathon) they're wearing like iron but are definitely intended for pavement.
Love your bike rides! Do you belong to any clubs you ride with? When can we go with you? Do you have an RV you travel around in? Would love to see how you travel to all these places! Thanks for the great content!
We are full-time RV'rs and try to find cool places to ride wherever we go. This ride (Hiawatha) was one of our favorites! We're currently in South Dakota and are heading to UT/AZ/CA within the next couple of months.
Great videos (the 'down' video, too). I've been scouring YT for the past 10 months or so, looking for Hiawatha Trail videos. I've only found a couple showing rides up and back. I'm going up to do the ride this June (2024). I originally planned to drive from where I'm staying in Avery to the Pearson trailhead, and then going up and back. Now I'm thinking to just ride from Avery to the East Portal and back, and save the driving. It doesn't look like it, but are there any steep sections on the Hiawatha itself, or is it all pretty much 1-3%-ish? The 25 miles up is well within my distance range, just want to find out if there's any serious climbing anywhere.
around the 39 minute mark when you went through that one tunnel, dont know if it was the camera thaT you were using that really made it that dark, but wouldnt be surprised if there may have been at least a few lets call them head on collisions between bikes cause sure that there are not many bikers that actually have either lights on their bikes like you did or even those ones that you can wear on your bike helmets....also that school bus that went by you that must have been the bus that actually riders back to the start, is that right and if so, was there supposed to be another vehicle that possibly tows a trailet where all of the riders bikes are placed into?
Hi Andrew. Yes, lights are required in Hiawatha but we didn't know that and Liz didn't have lights so she got covered in mud! Yes, that was the school bus that takes riders to the top. And the bikes go separate. Thanks for watching. After a long break we have a brand new video right here, and it's in 4k! ua-cam.com/video/b7Cga3YlQCY/v-deo.html
@@AmazingBikeRides I only get 1080p when I watch your videos on my 65 inch tv. I watch Actionkid riding in central park and I get 2160p60 when watching his videos. He uses a GoPro Hero 8. I only say this because your content is excellent and I almost feel like I am with you guys while riding my recumbent bike. I know you put a great deal of time and effort to make these videos for us. @@thelimeusa5525 Thanks for the info! We use a Hero 8 too so I'm not sure what happened here. Perhaps the setting we're using?? We will definitely look into it. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@Thelime USA Hi, this is Liz. I am the one on the camera bike and I also do the video editing. You are correct that the file sizes are only 1080. This is because although we shoot in 4k, the file sizes become enormous to upload. Since we are travelers, finding fast enough internet is too challenging to up the resolution. We will do some further research in case there is anything else we can do to improve quality. And thanks so much for your comment!
Put this ride along the "Route of the Hiawatha" on your bucket list, or just enjoy this virtual ride along the Route.
This is the ride Up from Pearson and we will be posting the downhill ride soon.
The Idaho sunshine warmed these cold, covid shores as I rode my exercise bike. Looking forward to getting back on the roads and trails.
Thanks for watching Chris, hope you get out on the roads and trails soon. Thanks for watching!

Loved this! Great inspiration for today! I love the music too!!! 💛💛💛
Glad you enjoyed it and Thanks for watching!
That was a beautiful ride. A little bit of Heaven on earth! Thanks for sharing. Idaho is beautiful that time of year.
It sure was beautiful! Luckily we beat the smoke by less than 24 hours. Thanks for watching our virtual bike ride!
Very nice 👍
Thanks, Patrick!
Awesome ride!
Thanks Tara! and thanks for watching.
Greetings from Hamburg/Germany..🤗

Great ride, but it makes me very anxous! Would be much better if I was riding.
It's a spectacular ride and if you're ever in the vicinity you should do it.

It has been years since I've done this ride. I am curious what type of light you used for the tunnells. It seemed to shine in front and to the sides.
Hi Marsha, it's the light that came on my Juiced Cross Current X and it's made by Cree.
Hey guys do you add anything to your tires to help prevent flats or do you carry a kit just to fix them if you have one?
Thanks enjoyed the ride !
Definitely Slime and if you want, tire liners.
Yes, Slime works. And thanks for your comment. We loved the Hiawatha Trail.
Your videos are excellent except for the video quality. I would be happy to donate $ to get the best video quality.
I'm guessing you're referring to the tunnels and it was the best we could do with the available lighting. Thanks for watching.
