Answer to the question of the day: Learning every day through UA-cam videos, books, email newsletters, Facebook groups and articles about personal finance, business, health, wellbeing and self-improvement, investing in building my own skillsets, listening to people who are where I want to be (financially, and in life), building up my savings. Thanks for the video
One thing I'd add to this is the book "The Millionaire Next Door". Too many people in today's society focus on looking flashy, having a luxury car, and keeping up with the jones. I see too many people throwing their lives away just to look cool. I was able to dedicate time to UA-cam when I didn't blow my money on stupid things and save money to be able to chase my dreams.
It really spoke to me that you mentioned your financial origins; that you started not by mismanaging your money but caught into a circumstance where it was difficult to make enough money to reach higher earning potential. With health problems in my family I feel like I am experiencing something similar
I’ve studied successful people on the internet since August They have these skills in common I’m gonna list at least 4 of em 1-sales/closing 2-copywriting 3-Speaking 4-marketing
The 2 main steps I'm taking to forward my financial future are: 1)Building this and my upcoming anime self-improvement-inspired UA-cam channels, and 2)Completing the High Income Copywriter course offered by Dan Lok so that I'll have a High Income Skill, like what you mentioned here. Mindset really is the prerequisite for everything, though.
Hi Roberto, I am investing in myself this year. I signed up for and bought a plane ticket to go to a major conference that will fuel me to go after my dream. I appreciate you for your honesty and you are one of the successful people I listen to, to encourage me to do what I was called to do in this world. 😊
Great video as usual. Consider also reading The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas J. Stanley. You get to peek inside the lifestyles of "real wealth" I would love to see more video about affiliate marketing. Your info on what you earn from Tube Buddy is an eye opener. Do you still recommend Blue Host as a good affiliate program? Thanks
Yes still would recommend BlueHost and yeah in my membership group I have a case study about my affiliate partnership with Tubebuddy in detail. I’ve read the Millionaire Next Door but may read again this year!
Did you ever make your presskit template for sale? I'd be interested in that since I do a lot of public speaking and presenations I should go after sponsors to take full advantage of the events.
@RobertoBlake love the response to "Get a real Job", with "I built a real business". Nobody can argue with that answer. This video is so helpful, and I know you make one of these every year. Great to see your journey and you become more Humble every year. Thanks again for the inspiration. By the way, do you still live in California? I keep hearing it's ridiculously expensive in that state, compared to other states where cost of living is cheaper, and the state is cleaner.
@@RobertoBlake Whoo! (wipes sweat off forehead). Great! I heard in Atlanta that real estate is affordable and you can buy bigger properties for less money. Is that accurate?
I'm currently improving my high income skills in the filmmaking business, improving editing, technical knowledge and expertise with cinema cameras and gear, drone licence etc. And also investing time in learning the financial business side of running a media company.
Amazing tips. Thanks Blake. Why I love entrepreneurship is that you get rewarded for the time and sacrifice you put in. Willing to go through the grind, to hit my goal. I'm already on the path with my online business and my UA-cam channel.
*I love those books! A lot of people haven't heard of the Millionaire Fastlane but that is one book everyone needs to read. Thanks for sharing this Roberto!* 👍
I have been trying to create passive income for the last 10 years. I have tried many different things that didn’t work but I’m not giving up. I just started my UA-cam channel on January 1st and have been putting out 1 video per week. It’s HARD and I barely get views, but it’s fun! I have been watching your videos for years and have been afraid to start my channel, but eventually, something you said stuck, and I just went for it! Thank you for the motivation and encouragement you give!

Question of the day. I am finishing the editing on a self published (with hybrid publisher) book. Once it is complete and I finish some house remodeling I will start my youtube channel. I need some where to film that is not open walls or drywall!
My 40hr a week job in the carpenters union país 130k a year without any over time. My annuity was 10.50hr (401k) for 20k a year so basically 150k a year. If you type in Nyc construction on UA-cam you can watch my videos on the unions in Nyc. I left that job to be more comfortable and Pursue a career as an online influencer. It’s a tough start but thanks to influencing channels like yours I’m here and fully devoted ❤️💪🏼✌️
Roberto Blake I was a Forman for the past 4 years so physically I had an easy job. But I just like doing this better. And it took me 10 years to get to the level I’m at with construction. So I know I got to give 10 years to this online media. Ps I took ur advice I’m on my 30 something video. Want to bang out my first 100 videos after watching ur video to sort of figure out in which direction I will go with my channel. Thanks again 💪🏼💯
Thank you for the motivations, inspirations and insights you bring to your videos. It is good to see someone else who started from the bottom and still sharing experiences to teach others. Thank you, Sir! 😀
Love your videos and energy. I am trying to figure out my multiple streams of income. Do you recommend to start more than one at the same time or focus on one at a time?
Great video! I really like these. I am working on building my audience so that can drive traffic to my Design/ Illustration business. Even tho you make a lot of content on it, My Freelance career is still not as consistent as I need it to be. So i believe building an audience can open me up to bringing more ppl value, which'll lead to a more consistent income stream.

I guess the thing I'm wondering is whether or not my skills are "marketable." Like, is there some way to tell if a skillset someone has is "in-demand"? I have several skillsets, but I'm kind of struggling to see how I can unify those around a central business the way you have.
You could chose to focus on the one that pays the most money with the least sacrifices. And use that to give yourself more freedom and funding to do other things in your personality
I'm already doing all these things! Leaning in to growing and improving my products and videos now, but when I do grow, I have digital products, affiliate marketing and physical products already waiting to bring me passive income. Thanks for another great video Roberto. Not heard of the 1st or last books but I have put them on the reading list for this year! 100% agree about the barrier to success being a lack of optimism and faith in yourself. Took me a long time to put those together in my life especially the faith in myself.
We need to change our mindsets and make 100k the minimum yearly income goals. I'm ready to have my 💵 work for me vs me work for it. Content creation (residual) is the best way to go.

I read the sample of 7 Habits of Effective People but I wasn't pulled in very much. I was surprised because I hear so many good things about it. Should I still get it, does it get better after the Kindle sample?
I made a list of people to model after. Roberto is in there as the guy I think of first when it comes to Affiliate Marketing. From other people's products to selling your courses through all the different pieces of content you make. You've really hit the sweet spot in giving value & salesmanship.
Interesting that you recommend both Robert Kiyosaki and Dave Ramsey. I find their teachings to be somewhat at odds with one another. Kiyosaki is a big proponent of using leverage (loans) to build cash flow and not paying attention to net worth whereas Ramsey is famous for eschewing leverage and focusing more on building cash generating net worth.
I actually want people to see what fits their personality and make those decisions for themselves. I don’t believe in only exposing yourself to a single point of view or congruent philosophies... but rather multiple and even contrary perspectives to have a more complete understanding.
I'm working on building my audience by putting out content as regularly as I can. I'm making an effort to be less distracted so I can get more done in less time. Currently, I'm managing to get a post published on my blog every week.
Roberto! You're speaking to my heart. I have to keep trying. What are the ways you've re invested in your education? I own my own website. I'm working on my own traffic too. So much to learn. I need to generate traffic. The email list is at about 60 so far :)

Also when you spoke about affiliate marketing opportunities within your space made me think about what I honestly need to do to create passion income within the space I am in. This is such a great video. Thank you for sharing!!!
Sometimes what your saying is so good the music becomes so distracting
Sorry about that, trying to mix it better
Great video Roberto!!
Thanks Pam!
I love the 7 habits book, but I haven’t actually read the others so I am going to have to add those to my list 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Good video man!
Amazing timing, love your work bro!
Appreciate you! 🙏
@@RobertoBlake I really appreciate that you've been a big inspiration of mine. I'm interviewing Johnny Depp, Mark Victor Hansen, Brian Tracy, and Jeff Hoffman next month!
Excellent video! Sharing :)
I love what you said about applying the same principles that billion dollar and trillion dollar brands (hello Apple) use to yourself!
As always, I gained much inspiration and motivation from your video as a creator! Mindset is everything :-)
It’s something I want to ultimately make some videos about. I eventually want to do a video essay on each of these trillion dollar companies.
@@RobertoBlake do it do it do it! That would be a killer vid! There's enough of us on YT that are intrigued by capitalism at its height to click 😄
Brilliant idea for reaching to purpose 👌
Thanks for this video!
Great video thank you
I am hoping to grow my channel too. Passive income is always what i thought could help me.
Great Video!
great video Roberto!
Thanks for sharing this!!!
Solid advice Roberto.
Appreciate you
Great video as normal 🤙🏿🤙🏿👊🏿
Appreciate you! Where did you get the most value from this?
@@RobertoBlake thanks for the reply. It's hard for me to pinpoint one thing you said as everything you spoke about linked into your next point. I think breaking down the figures ( per month , week etc ) defo helped me to realised that I can make a decent living if i put my mind to it. Also when you spoke about affiliate marketing opportunities within your space made me think about what I honestly need to do to create passion income within the space I am in. Also what helps me when I watch your videos is that someone who looks like me can make it not only on UA-cam but who who has a successful business and is willing to learn and invest in themselves.
Sorry for the long message👊🏿💙👍🏿
Thank you as always!
What was the most valuable thing you got from this video?
@@RobertoBlake Continue to push forward no matter how hard it gets, if you put enough time and hard word into your craft it will eventually pay off. I've been investing gin the stock market with the little money from my part time job since i was 18 and around that time started my own business. Now I work full time on that and now working on making UA-cam a part of my passive income streams for the future.
What town in North Carolina were you from?
I lived near Fort Bragg
Roberto Blake I was born in whiteville then moved to near Greenville and goldsboro about 16 years ago. I love learning about people who came from N.C.
QotD: Learn high incone skill/skills, startande with affiliate marketing
Great video man
You are so awesome
Thanks man! What did you get out of this video?
Thank you for your constant tips!! As a creator as well, it is good to have channels like yours to learn from. I talk about millennial lifestyle advice and faith on my channel. Best regards
Appreciate you.
$100,000 ?? Lezzz goo 😁💃🏾🔥
Watch the whole video!
Roberto Blake Hahaa! I am right now! 😊 Just wanted to comment first 💃🏾😁 Thanks again! I get excited for your videos.
I find that the biggest enemy is your family and if you are starting to make money you're family really starts to try to stop you in little ways by saying small stuff.
It’s letting anyone get in your head
Learn doing serious stuff people need, thats how you make $100.000/year
Lol basically
l like that you call it automated income and not passive income.
Yeah but the UA-cam Algorithm doesn’t
Roberto Blake oh, dear!!!! 😬😂
In British pounds please lol. Thanks again for great advice.
