    Freakin KILLER!~!!!! These guys definitely were the forerunners of grunge. J's song writing style is phenomenal... One of my favorite songs from that year ('87)!

      Lou can get away with it because of his long arms and he primarily plays on the neck pickup (or higher) to get that signature tone

    I've seen Dinosaur Jr over 15 times, and can't wait to see them again. Last show recently at Terminal Five in NYC. The best show live.

    underappreciated riff master. i firstly discovered this track as atari teenage riot sampled this, but the whole first Dinosaur Jr album is a absolute smasher.

    J. Mascis is one hell of a musician , I bought some record in the early 90s with him drumming in it , the record was Upsidedown cross´s ´st` debut and his drumming is excellent in that , one of the best sludge/Noise rock albums of all time afaIc .

    I'm glad there is lots of love for dinosuar jr. These guys are awesome. So cool to meet. Lou was selling sorts and CDs at his Sebadoh shows and murph always will take a picture with fans.

      It's precisely because they're single coils..They're going to be much hairier than humbuckers, which are tighter sounding with Hi gain...And J uses a ram's head era Big Muff going into those pickups which accounts for his wooly tone. You could get a similar sound with a SSS strat running the middle pickup.

      I think Kurt Cobain was actually a fan of dinosaur jr - He actually invited the singer, J Mascis, to join Nirvana on multiple occasions if I remember correctly, but he declined
