Our health care system is so much worse than many countries in Central and South America, and Europe. I’m going to be 48 this year and my husband and I have never been able to afford a house in Canada. It’s become unaffordable and unliveable. We are already looking at moving.
What is she talking about that the health care system doesn’t get better than Canada? That’s just not true. It’s in shambles and there are so many places that offer affordable or free healthcare that is high quality. In Canada people are dying while waiting for care.
I would move away from the main city in Canada to smaller towns - the main cities are so expensive and crowded. Fed up of being in Traffic every time I leave my house. The only reason I stay at the moment is to help my parents who are seniors.
Same reason I'm staying in a main Canadian city, because I'm helping my senior parents. When they pass on I'm going to move somewhere else smaller and more affordable
I live in a small community.. its not any easier. There is a severe shortage of doctors here....many neighbours of mine simply don't have one. And we also have no walk in clinics anymore either... so the er is backed up on a good day. So while you may or may not be stuck in traffic... you also won't have a doctor when you need it.
Only Toronto is expensive and crowded..vancounver is just expensive..calgary too...if you think those two last cities are busy then wow you better not leave canada lol.. our ciites are tiny compared to around the world except Toronto.
@@TheCandyShopGirl that is the same in Montreal and we are a city. I only have a family doctor cause my brother begged his doctor and played the my sister is a Cancer Survivor and she needs a family doctor. Even with that just trying to get an appointment with her is like banging your head against a wall. Our walk in clinics are now by appointment. We also have a lack of doctors. There are pros and cons in both city and rural life.
@@stoneneils no one is saying that we only have crowded cities in Canada we are just saying that we are ready for a little more of a peaceful life. There are plenty of places in Canada that don't have to be major cities.
Canada has its challenges and I think alot of the problems come from our governance. We think that the federal government is responsible for our well being but the reality it is the provincial governments that have the most impact on our lives. Healthcare and housing are primarily the responsibility of the provincial governments. Those are two of the major problems. Engage actively with the correct level of governments to bring about change that will improve our lives. .
Housing costs were going up before Trudeau was in office. The trend just continued when he came into office.. as it will when Pollievre becomes prime minister.. the question is who will we blame for all of our problems then?
My biggest mistake was returning with my husband to Canada and left nursing in the States. Was in England for Christmas and it was AFFORDABLE. Life here is unaffordable, stressful and hard.
We grew up in a fabulous Canada - that is gone forever. There’s nothing here except 80 hour work week and million dollar condos - they go hand in hand and 🙄 both suck.
@MichaelBinsky true that … the only reason I lived in downtown Toronto was to avoid a 3 hour a day commute. It’s a necessity to be closer to bed because we’re exhausted from the 6 am to midnight work day.
It is all about lifestyle and the front load comment is spot on. In Canada we are living to work. By the time we get to enjoy the fruits of our labour we may not be able to. I would definitely move abroad.
No. I worked every day of my life, After work..before work.. all night every night..evrey weekend...all vacations..i enjoyed the fruits of my labor extensively..to say the least. Stop your whining or find a better job. Nobody needs to work to live in Canada unless you've got six kids.
@@michelle.goodridge You'll see when you get older. We don't need to work as long as we have rent control + universal healthcare. Our costs are 100% predicatable. That's so true, Canada doesn't have a diverse economy it just went to real estate. Canada use to have such a string manufacturing sector now there's nothing

Canada is a springboard to populate the USA. In fact, many immigrants to Canada come from this country only to obtain citizenship and a Canadian passport. Once they have obtained these two documents, they request immigration to the USA and obtain it very quickly. The two countries, Canada and the USA, began the process of immigration to Canada in 1867 at the same time as populating this continent in 1820. The total population of USA in 2023 is 339,996,563 people. The total population of Canada in 2023 is 40.77 million. Justin Trudeau's father Pierre Elliote Trudeau, former Prime Minister of Canada from 1968 to 1979 and from 1980 to 1984, politician, writer wanted to increase the population of Canada to 50 million but did not succeed.

Too much to consider, being a single adult your accountable for your choices. With a family, to move to any location mentioned free? Nothings free, fine print and political guidelines will be a hurdle to get your offer and how about language barriers and job security? Health care system and omg is there even wifi in those places. Personally leaving is not an option. I’ve been groomed to appreciate what I have and able to adapt to change like inflation and interest rates, just have to keep on that hustle. And I’m ok with that, Canada is a great place to live and raise a family.
Once I get enough equity I’m selling my house and moving to the Philippines or my wife’s country Laos. It’s nice cuz my dad already had a house in the Phil’s cheap delicious food and cheap beer and cigarettes here i come!
If you can't afford to live in Canada good luck to you being able to afford living anywhere other than second/third-world nations. A better idea might just be to pick up your game, its really not that expensive. My city is chock full of gen-z living on their own via one basic job..online they think that's impossible lol.
Life in Canada is paying business class prices to live an economy class lifestyle!
One of the only things stopping me is the fact that often you can’t find well-paying jobs in areas where housing prices are low.
