      @@mavistsuma5900 Please do your best and study hard 👏 Actually there is a Japanese test but it's just an evaluation for your level to take the preparatory Japanese language course when you arrive in Japan, you don't have to pass it. konnichiwa Kem chan, I really love the fact that you start your videos with a full japanese prologue, makes me love them more, because I love the language that is. so I am basically rewatching this video, since I last did in 2017 when I made my first attempt to apply for a scholarship for undergrad programs, but failed for poor language proficiency by then. I was really shocked, because I always heard that there were all-english programs but the embassy (of my home country, Angola) told me after an awekward phone call interview that I had to be really really fluent in japanese. So I had no choice but to enroll in a local institution.
    But I wont give up just yet, japan is a childhood dream for me, I will apply for a postgraduate program once I am done in 2 years, hopefully I master my nihongo by then

      The interview was not difficult. I was able to anticipate and prepare for all the questions I was asked. They talked to me for about 10 minutes and then let me go.
      A couple of tips for everyone who is going on interview.
      1. Learn your research by heart.
      2. Prepare sample questions that you may be asked (100% you will talk briefly about your research and about yourself in general)
      3. Everything will work out, the main thing is not to be afraid.

I am planning my internship in Japan this fall at an animation studio because I have an animation degree. For my internship, knowing Japanese is a must because most animation studios dont have in house translater for English. The program has a list of internship that dosent required knowing Japanese.

Everybody who worked in Japan tell me not to worry about it and how the Japanese people are extreamely nice. I am between N4 and N3. At the beginning of N3 level. Most people who do internship on the program spoke no Japanese at all.

    Do I have to fill out all three majors (first choice, second choice, third choice) or I only need to fill out one of them?
    Because for example I chose Information Engineering as first choice because I want to pursue computer science but the other majors have 0 relation with computer science.
    I don't know if I should put other majors just to fill out the empty space.

      MEXT pays an additional cash stipend per month which usually covers rent and basic life expenses. The first month you have to front these expenses but then starting the end of that month moving forward you get the stipend as long as you sign in at your university every month

    hi Loretta ♡ I love your videos and I wanted to say thank you SO MUCH for all the things that you teach us with them and all your advices. I wanted to ask, what advice would you give for approaching Japanese teachers for the first time? like, what should I tell them in the first message? I feel like the first contact is so important and I'm kind of scared because I don't know what I really need to tell them. I would be the happiest if you could answer my question, I really hope you see this🤞🏻🥺 and again thank you so so much for all the information🌸🌷💗

      @kemushichan  4 роки тому +2

      Yep! Filming a video on this today but basically I started with a list of national Universities (these are the ones that have MEXT) and started looking through these to see what programs they had. I also searched topics close to what I liked, in Japanese, and added the search term 研究 to find professors who had published similar work in the past. You essentially just need to go through each school so it will require some elbow grease.
