    Yes, half double crochet! Here in lies the problem: most, it not all written patterns merely instructs to ' slip stich ' to join. Newbies are not instructed how to correctly join! You are truly helping them.

    Nice job. Thanks for the tip. It does look a lot nicer. I have always just slip stitched my joined and then chained and continued.

    I really never understood why the hdc join instead of ch & slst join but seeing it really makes sense now! Putting you in the centre....I always wondered why my corners seemed to be off set, now I know! Thanks Mikey!!

    I love the half crochet join. Ever since I learned it from you that's all I use. I figured I shouldn't change colors in that corner but changed in one of the other corners and now it looks a bit awkward so now I know why. Thanks💕

    Mikey I really like this new way to join a round. What is a little confusing is your color changed? l cc at the last part of the st & drew thu the cc. How do you renamed this way?

    Would this method of half double crochet, or double crochet or single crochet stop the twisting effect that you get when doing a continuous granny square? They start to look off instead of remaining true squares each time if you know what I mean. The only other way I have seen of correcting your continuous granny square from not going off was by turning your work after each row, would this method you used in this video work as well?
