- Welcome to the Starcraft 2 Wings of Liberty: The Story video series.

This video series is to review the main story of Wings of Liberty as a refresher for Heart of the Swarm. It contains all of the major cutscenes and mission briefings, as well as some important extra dialogue and mission gameplay. Some unimportant and redundant bits of dialogue are excluded for brevity and to keep the pace of the series interesting. Please keep all Heart of the Swarm spoilers out of the comments.
During the Wings of Liberty campaign, there are three "choices" that the player can take that can alter the story and what missions the player does in their campaign. For the purposes of this series and the story, the "A" choice is always picked. Per Blizzard comments at the Blizzcon 2011 Lore Panel, the "A" choices are considered to be the default/canon choices.

When I heared Artanis' last speech in LotV I knew I hear it before somehow. I played "In Utter Darkness" a hundred times and almost learned all the quotes of all the heroes. When I realized that Artanis' speech is as good as the same in WoL with the one in LotV. LOVE YOU BLIZZARD.

If you play the mission after patch 3.0, the portraits for Artanis and Selendis are different
Also in Spear of Adun (3rd LotV mission) Amon says the same quote about his seeds being beneath you. In both missions nydus worms appear after he says that.
I think he just really likes this phrase.
I love it when a plan comes toge-
Wait, weren't you supposed to give some creepy speech about how the apocalypse is coming?
SILENCE, MORTAL!
AFAIK he says "I love it when a plan comes together" if you play Hard or Brutal, but on Casual/Normal he says:
*"Your light is expended. It is finished."*
Amon dreadlord CONFIRMED
Another little bit, in this timeline Artanis clearly never lead the assault on Aiur and thus never even found out the Khala was poisoned. Amon couldve killed them all without any effort, but instead decided to toy with them and give them the false hope of pulling through
Yep, because by the time they make their last stand kerrigan (the one who could defeat amon) was already dead so Amon already won.
honestly i dont get this, why dont they just scatter into intergalactic space and spread outward, hiding in the space between the stars and colonizing every system in their path and replicating as fast as possible then moving on. the universe is big, like really big, im sure even if the war could go on this long, the universe will die (from heat death, big crunch, big rip or whatever theory is correct in the end) before they can catch up to them. As the protos move outwards they will scatter more and more and universal expansion might become so fast that catching up even with super advanced ftl will become physicaly impossible.
This is the part I don't understand about this timeline - Amon took control of the Khala. Why aren't they corrupted?
@@alanyuan8565 I have two theories, the first is that without Kerrigan being killed he had no reason to infect the Khala and therefore didn't. Or that he did infect the Khala, and decided it would be better to watch the Protoss squirm and try to defeat him
@@Endermaximum56 It just feels in this timeline, Amon has all the advantages. But in the Legacy of the Void timeline, he has most of the advantages.
I don't remember the Dark Voice ever saying that last part

I think the answer is here

5 years late, but if you beat the level on brutal it will say that
The deaths:
Urun: 08:20
Artanis: 08:51
Mohandar: 09:11
Selendis: 09:21
Zeratul 09:30
this video is EXACTLY what ive been looking for, thanks a lot!
If we are who we choose to be, the future can very well be changed. If we move by destiny and fate, then the future cannot be changed.
Tosh is wrong.
Thanks! I missed a few lines while playing this one. Watching this video completes the story.
+vonAdieux
The missing lines depend on how many enemies you kill. Once you reach a certain milestone lines change.
Such a goosebumpy intro. And exit. :-O
I love it when a plan comes together 3:)
Bogdan Vukomanov lol A-team reference... that was a quote of a dreadlord in WC3 :v
Bogdan Vukomanov The Fallen One's voice was so great. I love how.. smug he sounded. Great videos. zealousdemon
+Bogdan Vukomanov I watched this video because my version bugged and did not show that quote.
Im surprised Amon himself didn't come to gloat his triumph. To end the Protoss by his own hands/claws.
Nah, that wouldn't have been fitting for him. The Protoss are way too beneath him to bother doing that.
This was best part of Starcraft 2
No hotkeys Larry
This bugles me, why Zeratul or Raynor did not gave the prophecy thing to Artanis early on. Atleast he could avoid bein control by Amon and Zeratul would still be alive.
What's the music that plays during the battle?
Look up "Starcraft 2 Protoss Theme 1".
guildwarsaddicted Well, you're about 3 weeks too late now.
Eh, I tried.
