Vivaldi is one of the main reasons why the oboe (& Viola d’amore) are my favorite solo instruments during the baroque period. Absolutely sublime.

Just buy a CD and don't complain, they play for no cost at all for you, so just sit back and relax :-)

I used to gasp for air, turn from the audience and rub my lips just to keep going, (pretended I broke a reed once too to catch my breath) and you casually amuse yourself rocking through the tuttis. If there were a designation for hard core oboist, that would be you!
