Nice interpretation. I believe Vivaldi was played in the beautiful going home death scene in Soylent Green when the old book decided his time had come.
When Vivaldi died in 1741 his music was in the most complete darkness. It was the scholars of Bach in the nineteenth century who first heard of Vivaldi, thanks to the ancient manuscripts where Bach had transcribed the concerts of someone called Vivaldi. It was known who Bach was, but who was Vivaldi? Fortunately, a search was conducted, which resulted in the rescue of Vivaldi from oblivion.
For those who wonders, all the paintings and drawings are from Gaspard David Freidrich, a german romantic painter, not really the style, the country and the period of Vivaldi, who was an italian Baroque composer, but I still really love both !
Vivaldi is the joy of my life - when I am feeling a little down or just need to feel better, I play Vivaldi, especially this Concerto for 4 Violins, or Summer or Winter with Mari Samuelsen, and the happiness returns to me quickly.

Apparently towards the later years in his life Vivaldi went out of style, and was forgotten by many musicians until Bach found out about his music. I’m not sure how people could forget about him, considering the quality of his music.
He went out of style in the Romantic era as well with many composers of that time saying he only made one concerto hundreds of times. It's a shame since the Romantic era is still influential today so many people won't give Vivaldi a listen except for his Four Seasons.
Even Bach was forgotten, not once but twice. Just after his death, he was forgotten, then rediscovered by Mozart when one of his sons wanted to brag about how his music was better than his fathers to Mozart; then he was forgotten again when Beethoven and his sinfonic music erased Barock from memory; he was rediscovered by *** wrong Brahms **** correct *** Mendelsohn.
One thing that contributed to this sad fact might be the lack of a proper medium at that time to preserve the works of the composers other than the paper, hence, Music was easily forgotten. Nowadays we have UA-cam for example, which serves this purpose, and makes music reachable to people.
Eyup Ozturk: I believe it was Mendelssohn who brought Bach's music into popularity again. Reportedly, Mendelssohn's contemporary Hector Berlioz didn't like Bach's music because it contained too much "unnecessary note-weaving".

Antonio Lucio Vivaldi (4 March 1678 - 28 July 1741) was an Italian Baroque musical composer, virtuoso violinist, teacher, and priest. Born in Venice, the capital of the Venetian Republic, he is recognized as one of the greatest Baroque composers, and his influence during his lifetime was widespread across Europe. He composed many instrumental concertos, for the violin and a variety of other instruments, as well as sacred choral works and more than forty operas. His best-known work is a series of violin concertos known as the Four Seasons. Many of his compositions were written for the all-female music ensemble of the Ospedale della Pietà, a home for abandoned children where Vivaldi (who had been ordained as a Catholic priest) was employed from 1703 to 1715 and from 1723 to 1740. Vivaldi also had some success with expensive stagings of his operas in Venice, Mantua and Vienna. After meeting the Emperor Charles VI, Vivaldi moved to Vienna, hoping for preferment. However, the Emperor died soon after Vivaldi's arrival, and Vivaldi himself died, in poverty, less than a year later.

Vivaldi is considered one of the greatest composers of all time..yet he died broke and alone. His music was largely forgotten for over 100 years after his death, until scholars and composers in the 19th century started realizing the amount of incredible work Vivaldi had put out. Why is it that so many of those that we were raised to see as greats..people who had a massive impact on humanity whether through art..music, whatever..why is it that so many of them die broke? Why do we need to “rediscover” them? Some things I will never understand, this has happened to many artists throughout history.

I can sleep and soak up wisdom at the same time with such beautiful classic pieces
I played this concerto with a college ensemble back in the day. Memories...❤️
This is why Vivaldi is my favorite.
Perfect performance. Perfect sound capture seldom found on UA-cam.
Is there no greater auditory gift than this era of music?
Cooking with these kind of music on makes an formidable combination
Vivaldi is considered one of the greatest composers of all time..yet he died broke and alone. His music was largely forgotten for over 100 years after his death, until scholars and composers in the 19th century started realizing the amount of incredible work Vivaldi had put out.
Why is it that so many of those that we were raised to see as greats..people who had a massive impact on humanity whether through art..music, whatever..why is it that so many of them die broke? Why do we need to “rediscover” them?
Some things I will never understand, this has happened to many artists throughout history.
Vivaldi understood the human soul and it's not something to brag about. But his description was.
Among all the music in the world, only Vivaldi calls the strongest response in me.
That was freaking epic. Love Vivaldi.
An absolutely magnificent recording of this amazing piece !!!
Just heard this concerto on the classical station and now I am here to listen to it again! I love Vivaldi's work and the musicians who make it possible for others to hear these beautiful pieces!!
