@@Sak-zo1ui They aren't street-legal and are hella expensive. Dodge and Ford do something similar with the Challenger Drag Pak and Mustang Cobra Jet.
@@lka1988 But Ford will tell you the HP of their car. 1400. Why is this not talked about with the others. I watched a factory competition bracket race and the Cobra Jet easily smoked the others. Is that why Garbage Motors don't talk H P. And the electric Stang is even faster. Let's go with the belly button motors.
@@sparkyguitar0058 they all tell you hp numbers, they all, Dodge, Ford and Chevy, have different levels of power with different engine induction systems, they all run the 1/4 mile in the 8s straight from the dealership for $120-140k, they all have a top level 1000 hp gas engine option, the electric Cobra Jet has 1500 hp.

Having a bright blue metallic 99 Z28 I have always been a fan of blue Camaros......Jesus that Copo is gorgeous. I don't know if I could leave a Copo as delivered but I 100% understand the incredible jumping off point you start with. I love that the big three build stuff like this still.

It's really not from the factory. Chevy ships the bare body to a race shop and they build the car. These aren't built on the production line.
They are not street legal, no vin evrn, ford and dodge have versions too. And ford is the fastest

Ford made a great rear end, but that Copo will smoke a Cobra Jet.....
And we run Turbo 400 transmissions now in NMRA Renagade because ford has nothing that will withstand 1,500 h.p.

What can ya'll do to/for my 2008 Z06 with 35000 miles, stock clutch that's never been changed, Haltech MF 103 CAI, LG 1 7/8 long tubes w/ catted x-pipe into Corsa Sport mufflers and a mail order tune? I've never had the heads gone over and I need to send them over to ya'll. I have MT ET R 325s on 15 x 10s in the rear and MT Sportsman skinnies on 17 x 4.5s in the front, and I wanna take my car to the strip.

Mike Pustelny of MPR designed the suspensions for the Challengers, Mustangs, and Camaros. He worked with the NHRA and the manufacturers to get these cars built. I believe this car falls in FS/AA (Factory Stock AA).

Are these parts available from gm to mod streetable vin number cars? Probably cheaper to buy any comparable performance parts anywhere else if so i guess, but it's a clean set up for sure and I'm sure copo clone camaro would get as much if not more(being streetable) attention.

I have had some chevy guys whine about us putting a 9" ford in our Sonoma , and even our metric framed dirt track streetstock car . I have told them , were you born yesterday ? Ford 9" rearends are the most popular for a reason , but all they do is tell me how great their 12 bolt is . I hope they saw this video , go cry to the Chevy Corporate people who used Ford rearends in their factory CHEVY race cars . I dont know if the Mopar Corporate guys did the same in the Drag Pak challengers ? But I would guess YES ! My drag/street '64 Dodge Wagon has a Dana 60 only because it was in it when I got it , they are hella strong , but they are way too damned heavy .
