If he had started with "I was on my way to pay the insurance when the accident occured" I might have understood the letter of payment... but he still had it lapse that day. Pay it the day before it lapses.

Compile that with the fact that he literally has no clue where he was on the road, he hit and ran, and the cops had to chase him down and stop him, it all tells me he feels entitled to drive however he wants, not to stop for police, not pay his insurance premiums and lie under oath. He's a real first class citizen 👍
It doesn't prove that his monthly rate is $5555 because I paid my entire year's coverage in one payment so it could have been his monthly rate or he paid for the entire year. From not having his insurance paid it very well may have been his monthly payment. And yes, there are millions of people out there like this idiot with purple highlights in his hair to match his tie. I had a similar incident about 3weeks ago. Lady hits me from behind while at a red light because she was on her phone and gets down asking why didn’t I move up. Never asked if I was ok just blaming me. Called the cops lady takes off because she had no insurance. I did get her plate. These people are complete morons.

My insurance was only liability so they weren't gonna cover the damage I make a report, turns out the car had been stolen and they never did follow up on my report. In fact, I never heard back. I was so fucking mad because this asshole smashed in my car with a STOLEN one and you don't even care.

It takes 24 hours from the date of payment for your insurance to go into effect, which is why they advise you to make your payment before the expiration date, otherwise, YOU HAVE NO COVERAGE!

The defendant tried to pull a fast one on the judge here. He's not fooling her, nor is he fooling me. Say for example that your insurance expired on September 10th of this year, you decide to pay for the insurance on September 11th, the coverage doesn't go into effect until September 12th. It takes 24 hours from the date of payment for your insurance to go into effect, which is why they advise you to make your payment before the expiration date, otherwise, YOU HAVE NO COVERAGE!

These kind of cases need to go to a real court. The judge can then find the person guilty of perjury and dole out punishment for that offence. Then award full damages and all court costs to the plaintiff. In this case he gets off but makes himself a jerk to millions of people. Of course we all hope his insurance company sees this video.
