To dis day NUHBADDY cyaa tell mi nothing bout mi girl cause if only she knew how much her songs got me through some real tough and dark times in my life. Your mantra “The Strong One” has been my mantra for years. Watching this just mek mi love her even MORE. Not one to be starstruck when I come across celebs but there are two celebs I would probably lose my cool if i should ever meet them and that’s Queen Ifrica and “THE STRONG ONE” herself, Etana cause they are MY HEROS. People say they don’t like you and dem nah watch yuh episode because yuh did support Trump… Me neva 3 like dat either but mi neva care cause mi nuh forget what your music did for me. Etana is beautiful. She has grown and matured over the years. I know the Rastafarian community may still be grappling with her physical appearance and may not even accept her but this is growth... Hope she doesn't see the make up and the false hair as her true identity cuz this girl in her naturalness & authenticity is an aura. Thank you Sim Sim for this.

31:28 I LOVE all her songs as well . But she you see " Free" , that was written for me. I used yo listen to that song over ,and over, and just bawl.
But they say music can't influence us... Music has the power to do more than that. It can also free us ! Because I would feel stronger each time I listened to that song. I love Etana ! So sad that her type of message is not what mainstream media wants to push. If it's not about " good pumpum" and those nonsense it doesn't get much airplay.

One of my favorite songbirds, Etàna. I went to one of your shows in Florida. I was thrilled, you sound better in person. You have such a powerful voice and equally powerful music. Keep on being true to yourself. I like Sim Soul Sessions, but it's too condensed. Sometimes the story line doesn't flow, because the story line is guided by Simone. Maybe it's the time frame. I trust the show will improve as time goes by.
