Chinese is one of the six official languages of the United Nations, with 1.4 billion users. China has a unique culture and language. So Chinese people don't know English, but young people can speak some English. If you live in China for a long time, you can learn some simple Chinese conversations.

Chengdu is probably the most tourist-friendly Provincial capital city in China. Jiuzhaigou or Kangding are only a few hours drive from Chengdu. The ancient town of MOXI磨西, located at the foot of the 7,500-meter Minya Konka, is worth a visit. In addition to the snow-capped mountains and huge glacier landscapes, the hot springs there are also very good

Just a friendly note from a native speaker🥰
A more natural way to say “no worries” or “all good”would be 没事 (mei2 shi4)* or 没关系(mei2 guan1 xi)*. The expression没问题would be more appropriate for “no problem” or “sure thing” as in someone asking for your opinion on something, for example: let’s go grab a coffee after this? And you can go - sure, no probs! (好啊,没问题!)The differences may sound subtle in English but are sometimes enough to confuse the Chinese person you’re trying to have a conversation with.
Btw love your vids josie and your dedication to learning casual Chinese! :))

In China, Mandarin is the national language. Yet in different locality, they speak their own language. China has some 56 ethnic groups, and they speak different languages. Many of them have even their own writing. That is totally different from each other. But interestingly, many, though speak differently, are of same writing. That is same writing but different pronunciation.

You have been so used to the high altitude, now the heavier air is getting you.
Micheal is fairly close to what it is. The people you have come across, some cannot understand English spoke to you in Chinese, but they just spoke normally. They don’t mind your “off tone” Mandarin, they just try to kindly teach you how to say it correctly.

Take a taxi to Jiuyan Bridge Bar Street (九眼桥酒吧街) at 9pm and ask a passerby which gay bars are there. He will tell you. Btw, it’s crazy inside.

The subtitles on your video cannot be translated into the Chinese language. The reason may be that the wrong method or software was used when editing the video. In the previous video, it was no problem to choose Chinese simplified characters, but this time the subtitles are no longer visible in traditional Chinese characters. It is a pity that we cannot know the content of the words in this episode. 😅

Chengdu is the most relaxed city in China. People live very comfortably, with a slow pace of life, enjoying tea and hot pot. We often spend several hours together eating hot pot.
