    This has to be one of the most beautiful songs ever written and I can’t even imagine a more beautiful arrangement and performance. I’ve seen them do this on a Christmas TV show, and it was just as amazing without the excellent video of this performance. Please stay in the Pentatonix rabbit hole for awhile, and check in on Home Free, their country competitors also. I love a capella.

    Thank you so much for giving Leonard Cohen his due credit. So few of these reaction channels do...if they even know who he is or who wrote the song. I personally think this is one of the greatest songs ever written. And this performance and arrangement is simply stunning. The live version is also amazing.

    This was a wonderful version of this song to share with the world. Thank you Pentatonix! This song & White Winter Hymnal made me a Pentatonix fan big time! I like what they did with Dolly Parton, too!

    Dani, in this amazing cover you see Avi (the second base singer) featured. He was an original member going back to their beginning when they won a show called Sing Off. This show launched their career. After several years Avi made the decision to step back and go out in his own. The relentless pace needed to build your brand and your followers was too much for him. He has his own music now and he cam be seen as Avi Kaplan. In your recent reactions of Pentatonix you have their newest member Matt who has an incredible voice as well. Pentatonix won a grammy for their video Daft Punk. The creativity is so on point. They each sang their parts in a closet to get the look and it only cost them $400. Lastly they did an early take on the Wizard of Oz. It is a fun rendition. They are so talented and smart!

    The best a capella group ever and they make this song the best worship song ever. Thank you Dani.

    Bohemian Rhapsody is one of their best! It's amazing how they mimic sounds of instruments.

    Most dynamic arrangement "Sound of Silence". Best embodiment of a song "Imagine".

    • @vetrais7965
      @vetrais7965 3 роки тому +2

      Ooh that's a tough call on best embodiment. Like I'd say "Imagine" and "Daft Punk" are all equally perfect reflections of their renditions of the songs, with "Bohemian Rhapsody" being a hair behind where someone could easily talk me into calling that top too. The problem is they are too perfect at everything they do.

      Sound of silence is better overall. Most dynamic is Daft Punk.

    That was a wonderful reaction, Dani! Thank you for having the patience to navigate the YT minefield. Just so you know, they performed this live for a live Christmas special in 2016. As always, they replicate almost exactly their official video. Kirstin gets a bit emotional and has to take a "catch breath" near the end of her solo. Their harmonies have always been extraordinary, but they are getting ever more complex and amazing as they mature both individually and as a group. As a singer you might find their cover of "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" interesting. They perform several key changes. Their cover of Kiiara's "Gold" is also very special. It's live and a one-take for a very difficult song. You might want to listen to Kiiara's orginal first and then react to PTX. Enjoy!

    For centuries, Western civilization has known vocal music as “The First Art”! This is a prime example of that principle!

    Nice to see that you have such a deep emotional reaction to great music......some people just dont get the talent that it takes to not sing, but to create vocal art, with their voices....you get that for sure.

    This Leonard Cohen iconic Masterpiece is one of my all time favorite songs, and I've heard it covered more times than I can count. All were good, some were very good, and a few were great. Then there's this from Pentatonix; by far the best version I have ever heard. And with well over half a Billion views on YT, apparently many feel the same. I didn't think there was any way they could top this, then two weeks ago (11/95) they released their version of "Amazing Grace" ua-cam.com/video/Obp-9BEZe1c/v-deo.html It's as good as "Hallelujah", and with the spiritual meaning, maybe better. I was totally blown away, and I've listened to it many times already. Your reaction to their version of "Hallelujah" is terrific. I'm confident you will feel the same about "Amazing Grace". It's almost too good to describe. Best wishes, Dani. 💕💕

    Havana is silky sweet ear candy. Todrick hall collaboration on the Wizard of Ahhhs is excellent.
    Daft punk was their first Grammy award and is quite different from their epic single song covers.
    They have even done several collaborations with Lindsay Stirling where you get to see Kevin beat cello

    Hi Dani, I am one of your Subs and oddly an early entry for a comment. I do not know the particulars of this UA-cam blocking videos. It would seem like a reaction video would be "Fain Use " with little excepting or questioning ? It seems absolutely stupid for the publishing companies to block videos as it only helps promote the song that they have the rights to ? I do not know much about this. One reactor that I watch is Elizabeth Zharkoff and she did about a 10 min video on the problems he has had and what she did about it. I wanted to leave you this link as it might be helpful. She seems to know what she is doing. Good luck with all this . With love from Florida ua-cam.com/video/-cMamxBIA8U/v-deo.html

    • @connix69
      @connix69 4 роки тому

      The issue is with the recording company not receiving monetary compensation for people that essentially just replay a video. The biggest way to avoid it being claimed is to ensure that the reaction video is making its own original content with the intent to educate or be non-commercial. Usually claims are made against people that are monetizing their videos and basically making money off the artist's work, but that is certainly not always the case. Putting breaks in the replay helps, but the best thing to do is offer your own original content during those breaks. A break to say "That was beautiful" is not enough to make your own video original content. There is obviously a lot more to it than that, but it is a start. For instance, on this video, Dani does NOT include a link to the original video in her description box. Doing that helps to redirect people to the original video in addition to Dani's so that PTX and RCA get a view on the original video. I would highly recommend adding all pertinent info about the song in the description box, including writer credits, singer credits, arranging credits, publisher credits, etc. That alone won't stop a claim, but it certainly helps. Just a little FYI to help with the confusing laws surrounding "fair use".
