Is there a part 2? That felt a bit cut off, and I'd love to hear more of what they've got to say, factoids about the cars and looking at the unusual stuff!
I'd say they were asked to produce a certain length video so had to wrap it up. Plus the place was filling up so they couldn't have gone for much longer anyway.
They’re on UA-cam and they have a podcast. Why do they need a show on a dying format with producers etc meddling in the content and telling them what “the viewer wants”.
Give these guys a regular gig hosting Goodwood events. Walking though the suction with them was like a gameshow- "Quick, Name That Classic". I know my cars, but I could barely keep up with them.
Great presentation. OTSOT 60’s GT edition: when I was a boy I spent quite a lot of time one summer with my grandfather looking for an interesting project car. This was in the mountains of western North Carolina around 1984. The 2 cars I remember coming across were a complete Fiat 850 convertible at a junk yard and a rough but complete Maserati 3000 GT sitting at a local body shop. I may be totally off but I think the price for it was about $5000-6000? The project car idea never came to fruition but the brief hunt was a lot of fun.
I was introduced to several cars I've never heard of with this video. Well done, not very often to see something completely new that's also beautiful and exciting.
great work! very entertaining...i've always admired the facel vega and the 350/400gt lambo, but my new fave is the ac....thanks, and looking forward to this week's podcast...
Another great filming - for interest we have travelled from Switzerland to France a few days ago, half way around the Susten pass we had a green Z1 behind us for over 10 miles ( British Racng Green)
I don't usually go in for these walk through video thingys but this was very entertaining. Were there two cameras? You seemed to be looking somewhere else quite a bit.
Like you both, the only car that took my money was the amasing Porsche 356 S a true jam among all others. Thank you Goodwood Road & Racing and Mr Porter and Mr Smith.
No comments on the second pair of giallo Integrale and silver 356 behind the Lamborghini 400 GT? Just a glance @20:55 . I could have watched another hour of Smith and Sniff.
Interesting guide to the "ornaments". Anorak observation concerning the AC 428 designed by Pietro Frua: this car is clearly derived from the (one-off for Colin Chapman) 1964 Frua Lotus Elan (scaled up). Personally of all the cars shown, I would opt for the Lamborghini 400GT.
Side note: Richard Porter wrote the 3 Medium Sized Books of Boring Car Trivia and they're all fascinating reads. I'm sure they're terribly tedious and boring if you're not into automotive history, but I think he knocked it out of the parks with those books!
I had a Jag with those lattice wheels on the old Aston Martin. I've also had the misfortune to ride a motorbike behind one briefly. The overpowering smell of unburnt fuel is eye watering. BMW can keep their Z1 and send me a Z8 please
Imagine - the Lamborghini 400GT and the Facel Vega sat next to each other in the garage. Name a more suave two-car collection... other than the Montreal and that early Aston DBS...
I cannot wait to watch Jonny's video on the F1 car being removed from the millionaire's living room via an elaborate winch system and a Mercedes Sprinter ;-)
Smith and Sniff Guides are always a highlight of FOS
You know Goodwood Festival of Speed is the goat because they ask Smith & Sniff to do the presenting. Please, keep this collaboration going.
The Ant and Dec of the car world. Not sure who’s who mind.
“The other thing that gave me a woody when I came in” Lovely bit of business.
Richard's barely concealed smirk as Jonny expressed his liking of a woody was also excellent
Nice one gents, your podcast is great too on that side of things.
That felt surprisingly short, I wouldn't mind more of these.
'Ponies on the Vinyl' the new album from Sexy Baloon of a Tyre.
Smith and Sniff are a fantastic duo for this event. Bravo, Goodwood! 👏🏼
Love how Richard couldn't resist the Quentin impression 🤣
The roofline on that Facel Vega is absolutely bloody glorious.
Is there a part 2? That felt a bit cut off, and I'd love to hear more of what they've got to say, factoids about the cars and looking at the unusual stuff!
Same happened with their EV vid today. I'm guessing they met Sade and things got out of hand.
Yep. Strange abrupt ending! Perhaps the camera batteries went flat?
I think it's normally livestreamed, so it could just be because it's been cutout from the live showings
I'd say they were asked to produce a certain length video so had to wrap it up. Plus the place was filling up so they couldn't have gone for much longer anyway.
@@sq1rlsqu4d If they didn't meet Sade, they certainly found one of her cars.
That AC428 is just gorgeous
"You mean it smells like glue?" - genuine laugh out loud here (after spitting my mouthful of beer out) when I saw your expressions :-D
Brilliant work guys. What a fun place to wander around with car geeks.
I love these two. Someone needs to give them a TV show.
Perhaps broadcast on a Sunday night about 8 p.m.
On that side of things

We really need more auction walkabouts with you two!
*The Pathfinder pedal racing car (background) in the back of the Humber would be my ideal combination I think*
At least one of Maximillion Cooper’s XJ220’s is for sale.
Love Smith + Sniff, please keep their content coming 👏
I never knew the AC 428 existed. Beautiful car! Europe had so many more interesting cars than we had in the states in the early seventies.

That Alfa....seriously. Of all those fabulous cars....the Montreal!
Smith & Sniff + Chris Harris would be a Top Gear lineup to rival Clarkson, Hammond and May.
I had a mate who in his 20s used to daily a 1949 Mk II Humber Pullman Limo; we got stranded on Bodmin Moor in it overnight when we collected it...
Delightful details, thanks boys. I’m torn between the ISO Rivolta and the Facel Vega.
No Matra-Simca Rancho?? 🤣👍
I was introduced to several cars I've never heard of with this video. Well done, not very often to see something completely new that's also beautiful and exciting.

Great selection of cars in this auction. Well presented. 👍
Those cars are pretty nice on that side of things 😏
3 out of 5 stars. needs more Marrillion content.
Another great filming - for interest we have travelled from Switzerland to France a few days ago, half way around the Susten pass we had a green Z1 behind us for over 10 miles ( British Racng Green)
"What would you use it for?" "Touring!" - Johnny and Sniff need their own show on the regular!
I don't usually go in for these walk through video thingys but this was very entertaining. Were there two cameras? You seemed to be looking somewhere else quite a bit.

Smith N Sniff are THEE car guys of Planet earth!
14:05 lmao, a little bit of Alan Cantara :) wasnt he a centre forward for real madrid ? :D :D
Top work guys, this could be an hour long....on that side of things. 🤘
Sweet. That ”Hoffmeister kink” of the Iso was on many cars in the 60’s, Fiats etc. Its just the Bmw stuck with it and sort of claimed it…
Needs more Sade!
PLEASE PLEASE DO MORE OF THESE GUYS!!
Side note: Richard Porter wrote the 3 Medium Sized Books of Boring Car Trivia and they're all fascinating reads. I'm sure they're terribly tedious and boring if you're not into automotive history, but I think he knocked it out of the parks with those books!
Aw! You left us hanging on Schumi's F1 car story?! I'm waving my tiny little YT-comment fist at you Sir!
2.2 prelude yeah
Another excellent video from Smith and Sniff ..... however I can't stop hearing "Wyld Stallyns!!" after your intro.
Nice guys I really enjoyed watching you guys talk cars 🤙🏻🇬🇧
They still let you in then…
Saw Johnny had to watch.
And sub
How much was the facel vega and alpina?
what was that tiny car in the bottom right corner at 2:03?
Austin J40 pedal car.
Love Smith and Sniff.
So many S&S inside jokes here.
“sort of like a panda being born into captivity” bro hahaha
I had the same size tires on my 1969 buick LeSabre lol
Those two are my highlight
Great review, has Jonny got amazing hearing as all the videos on his channel and this are so bloody quiet!
Loved the Integrale and the 428. Oh well can only dream .
These guys are great.
Love the story of the F1 Jordan. 👍🏻😀
I love the Facel. Gorgeous
Massive belch at 26:08?!
I had a Jag with those lattice wheels on the old Aston Martin. I've also had the misfortune to ride a motorbike behind one briefly. The overpowering smell of unburnt fuel is eye watering. BMW can keep their Z1 and send me a Z8 please
In session tonight: Ponies on the vinyl.
Imagine - the Lamborghini 400GT and the Facel Vega sat next to each other in the garage. Name a more suave two-car collection... other than the Montreal and that early Aston DBS...
Ponies on the vinyl? That’s a John Peel Session surely!
Think your editor needs to put LUTs on the clips!!
Nice vid. Needs more gilet.
Was there ever a more elegant car than the Facel Vega?
Alan Cantara, nice fella
Lancia every day of the week would give my spare kidney for one
SPOOOOORRRRTAAAA.
Id buy that defender and send sniffpetrol weekly pics of the mileage going up.....
Ocon?
I love how Richard fails to look at the correct camera at any time, even by accident
There was a racing series in the US using XK 220s driven by veteran racing drivers. Totally insane.
@Richard Harrold nope I checked Wikipedia Definitely Xk220s Fastmasters
You're right about the XJ220 , but wrong about it not being raced
say it again! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
FYI the word "giallo" sounds like "jello" but with the A like in jab
10:05 for those who know
And....OTSOT....
Which camera are you looking into 😀😀😀
"gee-arlo" Nope!
JAA-LOW! (giallo is the spelling!)
Heard someone say “Oliver?!” Sure Hammond wasn’t there?
Why not just say Harry Metcalfe’s name - why just allude to him regarding the spectre landrover ??
on that side of things
The one car I care is this Lancia ..🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Must have been a russian oligark that has the racecar mountet in the ceiling
Jonny, my mate Dave has a 356 and also a Type 3 that was best in show at Volksworld. Ping for contact details.
Do I spot a Montreal in background
I cannot wait to watch Jonny's video on the F1 car being removed from the millionaire's living room via an elaborate winch system and a Mercedes Sprinter ;-)
Sphincter Land Rover lol
Annnnnd they cut it just when it gets really interesting.
no marillion looks to camera here
THAT STANG IS JUST DISCUSTING BRO 😎😎💪💪,🔥🔥🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Loved these videos, but let Jonny speak…. 🤪
Classic BMW converted EV. Utter treachery.
Whoever converted that BMW to electric should be jailed
So much worse than Harry Metcalfe’s auction previews.
Iso is pronounced Eso.It's Italian.
constructive criticism: what a lousy job your camera man did and you ought to fire him!
