Hills of Kathmandu - that track is everything!
Epic track! Thanks for the comment!
Danny Howells, one of a kind. Proper Maverick
Totally, thanks for watching!
Legend! Always the nicest guy to the fans. Remember bumping into him at Cream in Liverpool and actually stopped for a chat!
Bent - Always (Ashley Beedle's Mahavishnu Vocal Mix) What a jewel indeed!
Total classic!
Chills...

what a guy Danny Howells is, and what a great experience this was. Thanks SP and Danny!
Thanks for joining us brother, awesome question
Great interview with another legend. You are like the modern day Dom Phillips (RIP) on the frontline of progressive journalism. I can almost imagine your intro written in the sleeve notes of a Global Underground CD.
Thank you for this incredibly nice comment! Dom Phillips is my journalism hero, so this really means a lot to me. Thank you
Love how much Super Progressive has grown. You are doing an amazing job . Danny Howells is a legend and one of my all time favorite artists. Thank you
Edit as im watching this GU Miami is the best mix comp of all time. PS I love the support from the mom and pops.

Gosh this is amazing, lovely hearing Danny talk in this interview format! GU Miami is one of my favourite mix albums and has stood the test of time. Thankyou
I’m happy you enjoyed it! Miami CD1 is one of my favorites ever
@@SuperProgressive it’s such a great album! For me, it’s up there with Sasha: San Fransisco, Danny Tenaglia: Athens, magical albums.
This was amazing, Will! Great and super interesting interview! Hopefully you can do more of these. Love the bit where he tells about how he always tries to add something different in his sets and mixes, like that disco track. One of my favourite things about him as a DJ.
Thanks for the comment, means a lot coming from you. Happy you enjoyed it!
Great interview. Danny is such a nice man. Humble. A great DJ.
Agreed, and I'm happy you liked it!
28:22 I used to have 2 copies of Squelch on 12 inch, and would mix both mixes together into one long version. I never heard that original version he’s playing. Jackpot records was massive in it’s day. Blue Amazon “No Other Love” was huge, Shango Tunnel vision as well
Thanks for sharing this! Will have to listen to that track
Thank you very much my friend, well done
Thanks a lot man!
Badass Will!! Glad all of our paths got to cross!! 🕺 💃 🕺 💃

was the set recorded? unfortunately could make it to this. love danny's music!!!
I don't think the set was included, it was Danny playing some of his signature selections throughout his career, really awesome. Thanks for watching!
@@SuperProgressive so the title is click bait kid? the most relevant thing was to listen a classic set from DH
This is pure gold boyz ❤ great job!!!
Thanks a lot Graziano, means a lot coming from you
When Danny tenaglia interview?!
Followed Danny music for a long time and went to see him in London clubs whenever I could. His modded Sony cup / telephone handle headphones were legendary! Unique style, the epitome of the slow build and very groovy with it.
Last time I saw in in ministry of sound was disappointing though. He was very animated and angry at something before and during his set. Shouting at the backstage staff while playing. The main room wasn't packed, maybe 2/3rds full. Anyways, not a good look and it of course was reflected in what he played - technically brilliant as always, but he gave the crowd nothing. I hope he's doing well and that was just a bad night - too many great memories (turnmills, the end etc). What's the watch he's wearing in this video?
