ABOUT ANTHONY
Anthony's musical touch as both composer and performer is connected with some of the most influential creative minds over the last 40 years. He’s composed and conducted original orchestral scores for over 80 feature films including Young Guns , Internal Affairs , The Man From Elysian Fields , 15 Minutes and Planes, Trains & Automobiles , been commissioned by the Los Angeles Philharmonic for his symphonic work "In the Family Way", written over one thousand TV commercials in a myriad of musical styles, co-founded Levels Audio Post (LA's premiere post production facility) and performed and arranged on big-box-office films and influential hit records such as Michael Jackson's Thriller .
His extensive work as a young arranger, orchestrator and performer for Quincy Jones , Jack Nitzsche , Lamont Dozier , Arthur Rubenstein and Giorgio Moroder was vital in launching his own career. His early years pioneering modular analog synthesizers along with his wide-ranging music scholarship positioned Anthony at the center of the music technology revolution. Pleaseee record an album together! Could be groundbreaking! All vintage synths. Such a great collab. All of my modern synth hero’s together. My mind is blown that after discovering your channels, you all happened to collab. Thank you Anthony, Rob, Claudio!
I would buy it!
@@fffUUUUUU I’d buy three! One for me, one for a spare and one to share with the world
in the jam #2 i writed "TAKE MY MONEY AND GIMME AN LP!!" 😆
Why don´t you call Roger Waters, Jan Hammer, Giogio Moroder and the guy´s which are Left from this Time to make aRecord with diffrent Genres / Styles. The way to it to be filmed would be a great Jurney!
That was so bad ass, you all should start a band
Nice thought but I don't think they want to move from doing stuff for fun turning it into serious job then it doesn't become fun anymore.
Anthony was like a Dr. Synthenstein in the lab with Dr. Mix creating a monster of a song 👍
1:08 you had me at the Arpeggiated Bassline 😁💖💖💖
Much better than every today's music. Gorgeous!!!
This is a straight up dancefloor burning jam
That was a really really cool Jam. I really love the ARP2600. Such a gorgeous sounding thing
Anthony is the king of the ARP!
This inspired me to contact an old friend that I used to jam with in this way. Love you guys, keep it coming! Big blessings from Maryland!
We need more of this
truly magical, I like to think that's how kraftwerk felt working together on those beautiful albums
Probably the coolest synth piece that has been recorded since ages. Can we please get this as download? Can’t stop listening!
There are plenty of YT downloaders out there if you would like an off line copy of the music as MP3.
@@synthverkstad2093 FLAC eller inget 😂
Same here 😂 I really can't stop listening to this track! It's a weekly thing and I even play it on all speakers at my job. Our patients love this track!
Awesome!!!
Many thanks Anthony for publishing your wonderful vintage synth jamin' amongst friends from the US & abroad .... you guys really kick ass !! My drum teacher's friend was sponsored by ARP in the 70's and his practice room was sparkling like a space ship in the dark - you remind me of those wonderful times that are here right NOW ! THANKS ! Love from Europe, Mike
.... and your playful, colorful, dynamic paintings of sound are moving because they are made from wise and soulful musicians ! It does not matter what you play, soft or hard... it's playful, touching and full of life and feelings !
Now we are only missing the John Carpenter movie to match that jam! 🎉 Great stuff!!
This brought tears to my ears.
What a pinicle in synth music history.
So glad I bought the Behringer 2600. Ive had it just over a month and every time I switch it on I get an amazing new sound out of it. That said, so far? The bass sounds are orgasmic.
It's all about the bass!
That was everything I'd hoped for and more. I already knew you and Claudio were pros, but the way you synced up repeatedly without even looking was magical. Hope you get to do this again!
This is what UA-cam is for. Thanks for the awesome, nuanced, niche content you simply cannot otherwise experience without being there yourself. You guys clearly had an illegal amount of fun that day. Jealous. 👍
What in the hell did I just listen to? I mean that in the absolute most complimentary tone. I sat in awe and with a huge smile the entire time, hearing things I've never heard. Please, please, please, record more of this and release it uncompressed so that we can enjoy it in it's full glory. It's absolutely stunningly beautiful music that actually sounds original. Yay!
I don’t understand how you could concentrate on making music in this collaboration. After a few seconds I knew that the best place is on the dance floor! This grooves to hell, heaven and back. Wow!
it's one thing to fiddle with synths, but it's another to make solid, tasteful music. Your jams were wonderful
It would be fun to see you and Dr. Mix take on Jeff Wayne's "War of the Worlds".
I am a Metalhead but I love this shit!
Soooo phaaaaatttt! Really good jam gentlemen! You have celebrated those gorgeous pieces of hardware in the best possible way. Fun, fun and fantastic sounding. Well done chaps!👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌
You guys are just insane. Absolutely awesome to listen and to watch. Thanks for sharing this gem.
Thanks for that awesome jam! I can tell you guys were having so much fun!
That was fantastic. You know the one thing I loved apart from the music was the joy on your faces doing something you really love. Now that is inspiring.
For sure, I think we need this as a 45 minute EP / LP on Spotify / Apple Music 👍🏻👍🏻
My goodness you describing what was about to happen got me all teary 😮
Shoot just the thought of going into that room makes me feel giddy 😂
Holy cow guys. Had to listen to this one on the big speakers and I wasn't disappointed. Killer.
the musical intuition is matchless, extremely inspiring jams, the melodies on top of the harmony by Dr Mix are just incredible, so equinoxial ...
Hard AF! Anthony just walked himself into modular hall of fame with that two-armed gossamer Ital-synth arpeggio-thon first class jam 🙆🏻♂️😺🙋🏻♂️💕🍺🎹
Fantastic jam ! I don't have enough thumbs up 👍👍👍👍👍👍
TO YOUR STATIONS MEN ! IT'S A SYNTH ATTACK !!! LUXURY !
Retro synth mastery was kind of a given, but god those melodies blew my mind! You don't play notes or scales, you play moods and landscapes! And they are constantly unexpectedly changing without becoming less awesome, or less groovy. What a piece!
PS: I would have ended it with something short, loud, and obnoxious, for the giggles :D
... 100% agree ! You put into words what I could not say !
Exactly. But knowing when to wind up mid jam...
So very cool!! Takes me back to the great days of jamming, exploring and discovering endless soundscapes, rhythms and melodies! So much fun... Loved it!
y’all should make an album!!
Wonderful Atmosphere inside that cabin !
That transition section between 7:00 - 7:15 is just pure fire 🔥
That bass on the Moog modular @3:27 might be the best thing I've ever heard.
A.M. shows the difference between a professional synth musician and a hobbyist - Awesome!
Unbelievably brilliant - again, again, again 😂
As Jack Duxbury would say….”a synth gang bang!!”
Thanks
Absolutely awesome. Although Dr Mix’s waist gyrations made me slightly uncomfortable 😅
Even before Beat1 of Measure1 drops...
We know this is gonna be EPIC!
I feel like Anthony missed his calling as an EBM (Electronic Body Music) musician. That 2600 is right there.
Fantastic jam. The synth lover's dream
Seeing the dr. with his jam face was worth the price of admission. This can not be the last one of these…
Two stars collide into a supernova of pure ecstasy. At last the jam I have been waiting for and I was not let down. More more more come on guys give it to us ❤
Lots of great sounds here! That room looks like a lot of fun!
I replay this weekly. This track came out SOOOOOOOO good!
Very nice connection during this jam !
These collabs between you two are so good !
I discovered your channels separately and I am so glad you met and made those amazing videos together ! It’s like a dream came true.
Thank you so much!
This jam invokes so much cool vibes, I hope you guys make a weekly jam video going forward.
Close to "peak" UA-cam right here. Nothing ever, was or will be, as good as analogue electronic dance music! 🎶 😊 MASSIVE GRIN 😊
These guys could fill a warehouse rave. It'd be something to remember for a lifetime. Just imagine...
Add some smoke, strobes and lasers.
Outstanding and inspirational Jam! You are true masters of your craft!!, keep it coming, all the best from the Uk!
I have had to go back and watch this several times, some real genious. This needs to be on a album
Um, I think you guys need to cut an album together. Seriously. Loved every moment of it.
Possible title: “Live from the Rosen Room”
Bonus shout out to the OB-X. Absolute pad machine.
Was ne geile Synth Jam! Release it!
Wooow...a great synth jam!!!
❤
I saw this upload a while ago but saved it to watch on my day off. WOW!! NEEDS TO BE RELEASED!!
WOW ! 😮 Epic ! This jam will go down in history , as the wildest Synth tour de Force ever performed on Vintage Gear ! BRAVO !
I'm sure you've been told this many times before, but be assured the smile you put on peoples faces with these videos is worth the world. It literally made my weekend after a devastating week.
OH MY!!! This was outta sight! I could have listened for far far longer! Looking forward to more!! Way to go, guys!
That was f@cking good. Take it on the road!
This might be the best thing on the internet right now.
cool to see you in actionmode!:D..great analog hardware boss!
That's great! I am through Dr. Mix landed on this channel and of course I subscribed straight away so I didn't miss anything. I can only agree with the comments, an album from you together would be great. 😎
%100 you ought to try and get Steve Porcaro to an interview plus jam :)
Should I say all of three of you well done the sounds were out of this world love the analogues. Wonderful ❤
Sounds incredible and love that sound at 12:38 omg
Fantastic! Looks like a lot of fun: A lot of great gear in there.
I hope you and Claudio continue to collaborate.
I’m loving the way your playing the keys Anthony, your style is really cool, very original and easy to groove to, awesome stuff
RELEASE THIS!!!!! Man this is cool!!
That's what I'm talking about - turn it on, press record, play some keys and tweak some knobs!!! I do love synths!
Awesome, just utterly awesome jam sesh. Glorious energy and skill at work here on playing these legendary instruments.
This was great. Between this and the Thriller sounds deep dive, I really need to start using my 2600 more often for bass sounds.
Doctor Mix sent me and here I am!!👍
Wow! So amazing! I agree with others; it's hard to decide the best place to be; in front of an iconic instrument or on the dance floor!
I love Anthony
I love seeing classic hardware still being used to this day, so awesome to see
Marinelli Mix Jarre !!
5:00 to 5:40 is just pure awesome, such raw power!
that was fun ... more synth jams, that's my advice
The world's synthesizer man ever he did some of Michael Jackson songs i believe one of them Thriller. Of course he's name Anthony Marinelli 😊❤
Hi Antony! Doc sent me. I'm mesmerized by this live performance. You guys are the best I've heard for ages. Thank you! Love from Ukraine 💙💛
P.S. Please put this track on UA-cam Music. It's a masterpiece.
God this was so amazing it sounded like something from anything epic back in the day!
🤩
This was one of the best jams I have ever heard! Please more!
Omg. So happy for YT algos leading me here via DoctorMix. Sublime stuff! Ok what you now is:
1. Hire that place for 10 days.
2. Do one jam per day, unrehearsed.
3. Release the album.
Now jamming with this with my SY-77. Shiiit.C-minor.
Unreal guys
Amazingly good. Thanks for sharing !
All that knob twiddling had that room purring like a lady cat
Freaking awesome jam.. Hope to see me with Doctor Mix!
Sehr sehr geil.....danke dafür! Es hört sich nach mehr an!
The Doc's making house calls baby! Very cool video Tony, I also checked out your interview with him and learned he made an album with Dave Weckl and Patitucci, which I in turn looked up right away, excellent playing. I was surprised how great Dr. Mix was as a player, I knew he could play, but I thought he was more of a production and programmer guy, boy was I wrong, it was top shelf jazz fusion.
The best modern vintage synth jam par excellence !!!
This was a sick jam. I heard it on a very nice JBL Bluetooth speaker and it was buzzing. Loved it. ❤👍👍👍👍👍
You guys rock.
I just can't get enough of this synths heaven music!
Really enjoyed it! This seems like it was such fun for all you guys! Also refreshing to head modular synths used to make Music instead of aimless bleeps and bloops.. lol. I can feel the love for music!
This is great content for music heads. Thanks for sharing.
