I’m from Birmingham, I was there in Ibiza in ‘99, used to go to Tin Tins, Sundissential (listening to TdV) etc. back in the day, Cream (when Steve was resident) and probably heard Steve DJ - at least - 20+ times. The boy has done good - and love the fact he has been flying the flag for our city all these years. Long live Steve Lawler!
Watched Steves career explode back then - and fell in love with his sound. Such a cool guy and love the way he has respect and passion regarding the history and roots of the entire movement. When you were a young guy back then, watching and wishing you could be one of those underground DJ’s - Steve Lawler was definitely the guy you wanted to be - just a cool guy! Loved the days of Home in London - managed to DJ there myself back then, Deep South & Dark Drums was insanely great! Home was a great club. Lawler was insanely good there and their warm up DJ Jason Bye was also great.
Brilliant interview ❤️ thank you so much for it In my opinion this info you collect from these interviews are mega important!!! Thank you so much and keep up your amazing job ❤️❤️❤️
The mix from 'outside down' into Del 5 biggest thing in Detroit and the next 7 mins was a party staple of mine at peak point of pill high for years, a serious contender for best mix ever
Lawler seemed like he lost his head during the pandemic, looks like hes back on form, great interview and he seems really knowledgable about house music history
Hats off mate. Just discovered ur channel , I grew up on this music… I’ll be working through ur videos. Such good history to go through. The Steve lawler interview has great questions and enthusiasm. That mix with the dual pitch faders change must be phostograph … cracking album. I’m off to listen to it now :)
Great interview, Great Sound, Great Video. Well done dude. This is coming from someone whos shot in clubs and has extensive background in cinema -the arts Few djs i come out for. Paul Van Dyk, Steve Lawler, Marsh, Ben Bohmer, LTJ Bukem They all have one thing in common they have stuck to who they are and avoided the " festival style big jet vibe "
Dont know about pulling your own series , he's good , i would see that as a deviation from the standard or team..., being part of the global underground series ,its the creme de la creme of the league of djs worldwide, but it is about enjoyment too ...in the end of the day
Steve summarized in the first 40 seconds what is happening with modern electronic music culture. Outstanding!

Thank you guys for this. Saw Steve in Ibiza back to back with Danny Howells. Such a great night of music. Steve is a legend! 🙏🏼
Bro... That sounds like a dream night for me. Wow. I wonder if we can get you on this podcast to talk about it lol
Excellent interview as always...The Release nights with Steve & Behrouz were legendary:-)

House legend great at mixing to
Lawler!
Steve ....you intro
He was amazing during the dark drum and lights out years, but his recent sets have been very generic. He's gone downhill. Disappointing.
