there has been a hole in my heart ever since king of hill went off the air. yeah the re-runs are Great, but what I would give just to see Hank,Dale, Bill and Boomhauer live again
There'd be a lot of anger from both sides. I think most of the country lost its spine since KOTH went off the air. That's not a right or a left argument, I'm talking both sides of the spectrum.
Brian Blush, of The Refreshments, gave me his signed guitar pick, after a show, at The White Rabbit, in San Antonio. Those guys put on a great show. Brian's guitar playing was out of this world good. Of course, everyone was requesting the KOTH theme. They played it, but it has its own pace, and tone. It definitely has a "driving music" feel, and then moves to a Ska/Polka bridge, then repeats...super abrupt finish. I'd say it was not really emblematic of their overall sound, but sounds good wearing overalls. Yup.
My brother in law once went on a date with her a back before she was famous and really let her have it. Whipped up some woppers and smacked the broom handles off her caput, capeesh?
King of the Hill was definitely in my top 3 favorite shows. I do a very decent Hank impression but what people don’t realize is I’m cheating because it’s really an impression of my Dad. And he actually loves propane and once told people at a party. “Propane is a clean burning fuel.” He’s never seen the show. lol
Yeah when I seen spy kids spy kids 2 island of lost dreams and spy kids 3-D game over I didn't know he was hank hill and boomhauer (I didn't know he voices both hank and boomhauer I thought only hank hill)

In many ways King of the Hill was the animated Andy Griffith show. The humor was based on character and slice of life type of humor and It wasn't afraid to have real moments in it. also it was something you can actually watch with your family. It was adult but not over the top language udity\sex\violence etc. so even if your kids didn't get the humor they weren't watching something you'd be embarrassed for them to see

As someone who lives in Texas & who has run a few propane companies there... I tell ya what... he captured many of the the real life characters I’ve known & have worked with.
For me, it’s the same reason I’ve rewatched Napoleon Dynamite so many times. The world is real, the characters are real but just ridiculous enough to be entertaining, and it feels like home (the late 90s/early 2000s) you can see in the furniture and architecture the blend of the 70s/80s/90s all coming together to form this style that is hard to recreate yet is unmistakable. King of the hill was the best animated series on TV, I watch the reruns on Adult Swim everyday. With the exception of Bob's Bergers, the new animated shows focus on being as vulgar, and dirty as they can get away with. I read the reason it was canceled was that the audience was changing, but I think the entertainment industry is wanting to change the audience.
@@salahareikat8610 The show got cancelled/ended mainly because I think the length was beginning to get on everyone. As much as Mike Judge loved the show, he clearly wanted to end it a few years earlier and didn't follow through with it. Animation isn't just a good job, but it's also good job security for a while, even after a successful show ends. Brittany Murphy actually died after the show had ended though, it wasn't planned ahead for it due to it happening rather suddenly. As for The Cleveland Show, I've yet to find a solid factor into its existence cancelling King of the Hill. Mike Judge initially moved to ABC for The Goode Family, but I think he finally found another big break with Silicon Valley on HBO, as well as his animated documentary series Tales from the Tour Bus on Cinemax. Jim Dauterive, who worked on KOTH, continued on Fox to develop Bob's Burgers with Loren Bouchard, which really helped cement the idea that another animated series with a goofy family could be more lovable than vulgar, even if its first season suggests otherwise. Hoping the upcoming Fox animated shows can break the curse that Fox has had for the last eight years, everything getting cancelled after one season, or in Murder Police's case, cancelling it before the first season aired, leaving thirteen episodes fully produced and locked in a vault somewhere.

Hoping the upcoming Fox animated shows can break the curse that Fox has had for the last eight years, everything getting cancelled after one season, or in Murder Police's case, cancelling it before the first season aired, leaving thirteen episodes fully produced and locked in a vault somewhere.
ron mortensen dude, seriously? You don't like Bob's Burgers? I thought I didn't like it too, until I watched it. To each his own I guess.
@@minduniverse5260 Actually, what he said was that Bob's Burgers is the only animated show that doesn't wallow in vulgarity. I think he does like it.
best show ever
Awesome
“God damn it Bobby!”
I agree, but I still wish they would have done just one more season.
Did you eat your propane today bobby?
There needs to be a king of the hill movie. Idk how they would do it but if anyone can its Mike Judge.
