PS4 GOES MOBILE! Play your PlayStation 4 on your mobile and tablet on the go
PlayStation 4 fans, the wait is finally over! We can now play our PS4 everywhere using remote play on our mobile phones and tablets.
This is big news, when you consider we have been promised this for some time now, with the new update we can access it anywhere with a good enough WIFI internet connection
Unfortunately, it’s not all good news, we don’t have any support for the dual shock controller, hopefully this is something that can be added further down the line. For now, we will have to put up with the on-screen controls, once you get used to this it’s not too bad.
This is a nice addition from Sony and show that the PS4 is still alive and kicking even with all the next gen rumours floating around. Remote play has been around some time on our computers and laptops with the benefit of been able to use the dual shock controller.
Remote play is great for those games that aren’t fast paced, but for the laid-back games it works very well, this is because of the slight delay we see from streaming games on remote play, it’s just nowhere near as fast as playing directly on the PS4.
We also have the ability to join voice chats using the mic on our devices!
The setup is very very simple download the app which you can get on the app store, sign into your PSN account then link the device to the PS4 with the pin displayed on your console, then you can enjoy all the features of your PS4 on your phone or tablet. Ok not every game will support remote play but most of them do.
