My name is Eric and I travel with my 26lb cat, “Jax” in a 2012 Coachmen Mirada 32BH Class A Motorhome on a Ford Super Duty truck chassis. (V10 Triton) We travel about 35 miles a day chasing 70 degrees year-round. Here is my gear & some popular questions answered:

I agree with you Elisabeth. This is his home not anyone else's so if he wants to put anything he wants inside it is his business. Personally I am in favor for swapping out an uncomfy piece of furniture for one that is comfy.
Agreed! Not a thing wrong with buying used furniture if it's in good shape. Best to spray it down... vacuum it out .. check in all the crevices, etc. But Eric knows all that. It's his life... critics should worry about their own.
@Thomas Taylor lol. Paranoid much? Do you also only buy clothes that nobody has ever touched, and brand new cars that have never been test driven? My entire life (for reference, I'm in my 40s) I have bought nothing but used furniture (both from individuals on Craigslist and from thrift stores ... at least thrift stores usually clean them first), and I go to movie theaters all the time. I have not once brought home a nasty critter. It's not that hard to take a second to examine the furniture for evidence of creepy crawlers before taking it home and/or using it. Of course, I'm not telling you what to do, only relaying my personal experiences. If you still choose not to, there's nothing wrong with that.
The heat from the chassis keeps it from freezing. Jax is so adorable!!! I'd love to hold him. I like that new recliner, awesome deal!!! It's YOUR home. YOU decide how you want to make YOUR home comfortable. Don't worry about what anyone says. Be safe, stay warm, keep being awesome, Give handsome man Jax a kiss on his nose for me!!

Hi, Eric. Great deal on that recliner. Just one little hint: whenever you bring used, upholstered furniture into your home, I would spray it for fleas, and especially bed bugs, which are a nationwide problem. Spray well, cover with a big plastic sheet and get yourself and Jax out of there for a couple hours. Of course read the label for a product safe for pets. (:
Good Will, most of them, treat new furniture, shoes and clothing so their employees dont have to worry about taking the buggers home each day.
Now, buying from an individule... definently.

MJ Morro No they don't. I got bugs from Goodwill twice. They don't treat things right as the owners would. they probably spray on the surface only but bugs live deep inside. You gotta baking soda the furniture. That stuff goes through the cloth deep and sucks out moisture and dehydrates eggs and bugs.

Great score on the lazy Boy! That one of the things I like about you and the channel, is that you have NO FEAR about making mods to the rig to make it more functional for yourself. You should turn that space under the recliner as a hidey hole for valuables and make that front piece into a lift up door with hinges hidden behind carpet! Jax is so cute!
That la-z-boy recliner was an amazing deal even if it is blue! They last for years, very well made. I have an obus on mine for my back.

Hey Eric, i caught bed bugs from thrift store shopping. Be sure to spray that couch with pure ammonia. Let dry and repeat. If not, use white vinegar. When dry, put baking soda in a bottle with a hole on top. Turn bottle horizontal and squeeze the bottle by pumping it. This poofs the powder out onto the recliner. Salt kills most bugs by dehydration. Baking soda is salt. And it kills any ass funk the couch might have.
I just pour half the box all over the couch outside. Let sit for 2 hours and smack the hell out of it.

Hi, Eric, great idea on the recliner. Think I’ll check out Goodwill. The blue looks fine so try it out awhile and you’ll figure out exactly what you want. Love the two bachelors together and Jax being so loving and cute. Super kitty and very attached to you. Love it!🐈🌨☃️🤗

I have that exact same recliner. It's awesome. I found my let for garbage in an apartment. I had it for years. Actually currently sitting in it.
Don't worry about the color. If it's in good shape you can recover it... or even just put a cover on it.
OMG that was so the right thing to do changing out that uncomfortable sofa for a LazyBoy! I wish that Jax boy was layin' on my belly in my recliner. I just love that guy.

Your RV is all very neutral so, blue or any other color you choose will go just fine in there.

We love the 50,000 Dollar Bar! Been going here since it was 10,000 Dollar silver dollar bar. We have a few on the wall. This place is a crazy fun place to stop. The restaurant makes some good food too. My kids love the novelty shop. Hope all is well. Drive safe.

I think whoever picks out the RV furniture has NEVER tested them. Why are they always so uncomfortable??? We have a 5th wheel with 3 sitting areas. The recliners are okay, but the couch is hard and the cushions don't stay in place. Definitely understand why you would want something different.
Please make sure you know where Jax is whenever you put the recliner down. They are death traps for cats

He wont care. Tator doesn't even clean jaxs bowl in between feedings. When his lips are smacking and hes lissping a lot hes lying!!
@@mistywoods4407 My recliner has sentimental value, so I keep it. I always check that my pittie Kimba's paws are out of the way and that Midget the Chihuahua isn't underneath the chair. So, good advice, Aussie. Can't be too safe around our furry loves.

You should look into a RV Surge Protector. Could save you a lot of headache with all that nice electrical equipment you have.
Taylor Calhoun I second that recommendation, we recently had an issue with shore power at a park that we shared in a recent video and our surge protector probably saved us a huge expense and inconvenience! Definitely worth the upfront investment for the peace of mind.
When using my camper trailer with 30 AMPS, I just run a heavy duty extension cord, which is plugged into the 110 socket at camp site power source, through the slide out side and into RV. I plug one heater this way and avoid the overload. The other heater is plugged into regular RV socket.

But it snowed, had to buy winter ware. Montana, Wyoming...it's not Spring yet.
At least in your RV, you have clothes for all seasons. 😂
The water tank didn't freeze probably because it's in contact with the floor above it, and there's JUST enough warmth coming down into it to prevent freezing when it's only a few single digits below 32, but get a HARD freeze down in the teens and that can change fast!

I'd look into getting a rv surge protector... mine has saved me twice, both times in parks with new updated wiring. Great find with the chair
Hey Eric , as an over the road truck driver i gotta say be prepared for ANY weather , yes you can be in the 90,s one place and a blizzard a way,s down the Road , a friend of mine was with me one time and we set and watched a downpour of rain literally just accross the street from us while we were sunny and dry , strange weather is just one of the oddities you will run across when traveling A Lot , Take care and be safe out there.
Funny we had the same couch in our Concord 300TS we hated that thing, it was a backbreaker and didn't point towards the TV we bought 2 RV recliners.

A chair for two😊😊the only thing with a lazy boy is the cushion will wear thin or go deep. I just use a pillow😊 cool magnet.

My next RV be a 4 season RV. I can't stand winterizing mine for the ride home from Florida to Pennsylvania in the cold months.

Velcro a skirt around the chair to keep Jax out from under. Use thick hard to fold material. You could thumb tack it around too and still remove it to wash it.
Wow! $4 is a great deal! We have 2 of them and have had them for 8 years and they are still going strong! Yours should last awhile! Great find!
Eric, We ate lunch there at the Silver Dollar Casino last Friday (nine days ago) it snowed on us too! Are paths will cross someday soon I am sure. We are in Bear Lake Idaho today.

I am happy you found a good deal in my home town. We have been at the silver dollar place many times over the years, and we used their free camping once. I have seen snow in Butte every month of the year. One of the coldest towns in the 48.
Someday try a gaming chair. Walmart has one with a built in foot rest that's incredibly comfortable and light weight. Pivots, reclines & moves where you want it and when you travel just set it on it's side. Also the best back support I ever had.. On top of that, you can look like your driving a race car.

The couch did not look very comfortable, what a deal on that recliner, it looks well taken care of and the blue color is fine, I wouldn't replace it anytime soon and it's Jax approved.

Thanks for the update on the 50,000 Silver Dollar rv parking. We are going to Glacier National Park in 2 weeks and we planned to stay one night at 50,000. I was a worried about the electrical system as it was in not so good condition last time I was there. Thanks.

Hey Eric, you could screw down only one leg and you'll still be able to swivel the chair to face a different direction. The chair shouldn't move out of place when you drive.

I have a recliner like that one. Sit good. I got it at a yard sale for $5 a few years ago. Really needing another one now but it lasted 3 years for $5. Hope u enjoy yours as much as I do.
Hi Eric, you should rotate your new recliner to face towards the driver seat and you should hook up the TV on the wall in front of you. Just a thought. [edit] If you're having trouble understanding what im talking about pause the video at 6:30 and im talking about that wall next to the window. Love your videos :)
That area is a slide outage so he could not put the TV there because when the slide out area is in for traveling or if he chooses not to put the slide out it would be difficult or not be able to get past the TV when the slide out is in.

Great deal on the recliner. I have 2 just like it but I had them made, so they're gray. Love them. Also, you seem to know the #1 cat rule lol. You can't get up when Jax is in your lap. My heart is still broken from losing my Wheat Pea. Just going to wait until another one finds me. TC and safe travels. 🌷
The first time I was there it was a little old wood floor bar named the Lincoln 10,000 bar people would leave a silver dollar and they would glue it to the bar. Then the walls.

Throw a pillow or two that match the decor you already have and viola, it will be a great replacement!

Sucks to garden in those areas without a hoophouse, having a hotspring on property can allow for a greenhouse to grow through the winter.
Nevada actually grows poinsettias using hot wells for heat.

Evel Knievel used to hang out the Maximum hotel,. now the Westin,. . In Las Vegas. I used to see him on his phone he had one of the first cell phone back in the day. I guess the Maximum also had a sweet for him he lived out of.
You have room for a nice big floor cushion/bed for Jax on that riser now Eric. I have one I bought for my dog but my cat has claimed it. Sometimes it's nice for them to be able to stretch out :)

those chairs are dangerous watch for your pets are not sleep under the chair if u dose off. You have to be aware of jax at all times .You could work on sealing the bottom with some carpet staple arround bottom of chair to floor so to insulate it so jax dont hide under it. .

It was a pretty sofa but when it is uncomfortable and wrong with the tv, it is better that you changed it for a nice and comfortable recliner. I was thinking that a Lazy Boy recliner would work because they are in two pieces. It sure is pretty and goes nice with the rest of your furnishings. That sure is quite a price and a great big savings for a nice chair like that. Maybe the heaters will keep your water pipes from freezing too.
