    The studio at London looked better but it’s just the first few days so I guess they will improve the Salford studio

      At some point I’m sure the News Channel and the Six and Ten O’Clock will move to Salford. But who knows how long until that happens.

      @@vhs_videohomesystem To be honest it's a lot better if that happens, look at all the big broadcasters of the world: In America NBC News, ABC News and CBS News have always been based in NYC and not in Washington DC. In Canada the CBC News has always been based in Toronto and not in Ottawa, in Australia the ABC News has always been based in Sydney and not in Canberra and finally in New Zealand TVNZ News has always been based in Auckland not in Wellington. So I am not surprised that the Beeb is doing the same

      @@rogerdarthwell5393 it's not that their idea is to place TV studios outside of the capital cities. New York City is much bigger than Washington DC, Toronto is bigger than Ottawa and so on. All these cities are also more important economically, and usually that's where TV started in these countries in the first place. Not so much about Salford, the BBC's move is completely artificial

    Look at the skyline in the new shots, looks like its been panogrammed form the top of a council estate block.
    Who wants shots of Big Ben, The Wheel or Buckingham Palace when you can have a nice shot of world beating Manchester skyline and burnt out cars.

    Why did BBC move N@1 to Media City?

    • @moramento22
      @moramento22 3 місяці тому +3

      The main reasoning they give is moving more programmes out of London, become less London centric. But I wouldn't be surprised it's also a case of integrating daytime programming, which I think is very true considering that you have Breakfast presenters, present N@1
