I heard that the english localisation wasn't always accurate, and there's a perfect example here at 2:28 Azel never said that she loved Edge, she said "Dakedo watashi ha" who mean "However i" without finising her phrase !
Does Edge still say "She's beautiful" when he sees Azel for the first time at the excavation site in the Japanese script? I know the English translation made Edge and Azel's romance more obvious.
Practically fell out of my seat the first time I played this and it said the Divine Visitor is "Chris" (me). Was not prepared for that! Best game of the generation and one of the best games ever, almost no recognition. Classic Sega...
Although the final fight was quite easy (just spam your most powerful berserks and your elixirs), it was a memorable one, just from the ambiance: you are fighting that weird bio-computer-god in that alien space, with that eerie atmospherical music. The boss attacks you by cloning and hurling past bosses at you, while you send everything you have at him. Great game, still etched in my memory twenty years after playing it for the last time.
Best ending ever. Azel searches in vain. Edge died at the beginning of the game. Also lagi/heresy dragon chooses to life on, but as a mortal dragon. Epic stuff
Came here to rewatch the flashbackin' FMVs when you hit those orbs. Completely took me by surprise when I saw those the first time. In particular when they showed the events before Saga including the first game.
I guess they were going to make a sequel with Azel as the main character, given the ending Azel embarked the journy to find Edge, will she succeed or fail?
@@costumeninja1914 the moment zastava shot him in the opening. His body was kept alive by the divine visitor as you see the orb landing in the water reviving his body.

Most dramatic ending ever made in the history of video games. An unforgettable gem.

This is the most powerful ending in a video game I've played through in a long time
God damn I can't believe they ended it like that. Such a desolate, empty game, it's fuckin awesome.
Orta shows what happens to Edge and Azel

Unironically one of the best final sequences Ive ever played. Holy shit

Yeah I love that sequence too. We finally find out the origins of the Dragon
I cry
Masterpiece

A direct sequel to Azel/Saga to make the link with Orta would have been awesome 😭
No. Edge died at the beginning of the game. He was only kept alive by the divine visitor (you)
@@drunkensailor112 Welp, that will suck for Azel, poor girl is still looking for him.
@@drunkensailor112 I’m tripping balls now. When did he die?

I don't know shit about the lore, but that final boss intrigue me, and creep me out....what is it exactly ?
The whole thing about Sestren is very mysterious in the game, but in short this creature is the mind of the Sestren network who controls the towers
It is kind of an artificial intelligence that controls all the ancient technology structures of the world.
