Command and conquer is one of my favorite franchises me and my dad use to play them together after school

Why was your dad at school?
Dad introduced me to Red Alert 2. He passed away 4 years ago due to 😷 but im still playing his games and even digging deeper in games he owned and play them
So when playing allies, go for mirage tanks. 6-10 mirage tanks delete most units in one hit, and buildings die fairly quick. Sprinkle in some anti air , grab some aurora bombers to target specific buildings behind the lines, and maintain enough anti ship fleet units to keep the navy at bay. Dolphins not really good except in mass. Die too easy to everything.
Dolphins can also save your naval units and collectors from terror drones if you force firing your own infected unit this only works in vanilla RA3 however not in Uprising for some reason. Good to know if you happen to have dolphins nearby and soviets loves to harass your harvesters with terror drones
Playing Challenge and most times it rewards being fast, Allies is by far the worse rush faction because all of their early game choices are rather bad. Max out it's for sure the best but even not aiming for pair, early games can be a nightmare. Most times it's Tango or Helix spam with AA air to protect.
If I'm not air cheezing, I like Soviets' the most due to early game bikes being extremely damaging speedy glass canons that can handle builds and inf with out trying. Followed by hammer tanks then followed by what ever counters or eco choice to go for.
So yeah I just don't like Allies' early game. Their AA trash like Rising sun but they lack really good AA that isn't Navy bound. Their navy is nuts but out side of Mirage tanks you're just so weak to getting rushed as allies due to weak early game units. Risin sun have slightly weaker units but they are way more flexible and have better powers on their early units.

i saw red alert 3 currently has 1000 players and I am blown away, I personally love red alert 3 more than any command and conquer game and it's good to see it alive

I agree! What most people do not realize at first is that RA3 was deliberately designed to be a competitive multiplayer game. Supposedly it was EA's answer to compete with the popularity of Starcraft and they were very determined. However in true EA fashion they stopped the development of RA3 before the game was truly finished and polished. The Uprising expansion which is basically adds some of the half finished cut content and units.
RA3 needs to be approached with all the information in mind that is made for tight multiplayer. It is a low eco game where money, fast micro, game knowledge and skill very much matters. Seemingly minor things like loosing an engineer in the early game for 500 credits instead of capturing an oil derrick can be a huge setback in the long run.
RA3 still has massive *unrealized potential* even today in 2023 as slightly inbalanced as it is today (I am looking at you OP Allies). High level matches can be very tight and their replays are always good watch IMHO. We are still holding out hope against hope that someday EA, realizes what it has missed and updates the game. Yeah, I know it is fuggin' EA but if Age of Empires2 could do it we still can hope. Even just a few balance patches could completely revitalize the long-long time stagnant meta.
If ra3 is imbalanced because of allies crycopter, then you never saw how USA is op with its alpha aurora in generals zero hour
@@MuhamadMajid-gz1md Yehah but having something even more OP in Generals doesn't make the other less OP in RA3. In fact that only makes both worse.
Hope red alert 3 can get a remastered version. Or even red alert 4 can come out, but highly unlikely though
I was playing red alert 3 couple weeks ago i got the last copy of it on ps3 at toys r us years ago then my ps3 took a dump but finally got another ps3 and can play it again 😎🤘🏻love C&C. I beat red alert 3 on hardest difficulty and it was a challenge
RA3 is so different from how I remember it. I was a huge fan of playing RA2 and the third one was always weird to me
Damn I used to play command and conquer 2 some years back as a kid.
Now I come back to see a better and upgraded version of the game.

I really disliked RA3 at first when i was new at it and dident fully understand the game so i decided to play it more and learn it and learn all the tips and tricks, that top secret protocol was a big reason why i dident like the game until i learned how to counter most of them, and also that you cant turn of superweapons so i decided to inplement a rule that i cant build any superweapon until my enemy does cuz i want it to be a fair fight. I think RA3 is a phenomenal game and i play it alot today both vanilla RA3 and RA3 uprising.
The keyboard shortcut for attack move is A. Press A and then click. Pretty sure that's the same shortcut as every C&C game.
Hey man i think you're just getting overwhelmed and need a lil tutorial to remember all the unit's special abilities. Although, if you watch Sybert's Red Alert 3 commentary on some 1v1's it might help greatly. Hope you enjoy more RA3
Just purchased this game for $5 on EA! Definitely a still! Even on easy, this game is a challenge! I wish I could get the lord of the ring the battle for middle earth rts that release on the Xbox 360! That was one of the best rts I ever played! I still own the game but want it on pc!😊
I love playing RD3 Rising on PC. I got it on steam a few years ago. I wish they would continue to make red alert games. Broken arrow is a new RTS coming out, similar to this.

C&C is so fun and comical when you're high as fk. Id highly recommend it. I played RA2 and Generals as a high teenager in the late 90's. Good times.

I've just started playing this and I'm finding it pretty hard compared to Tiberian Wars which I've played a lot of. Can anyone recommend a good guide for beginners? I'm playing against medium and I'm getting slaughtered! The computer opponent seems to be building their super weapons a lot faster than me so I'm guessing it's a resource issue.
Should I pick RA3 or RA3 Uprising or both? I just don't know the different and only played uprising back in the days.
Take both. RA3 is the base game and Uprising the expansion (dlc).
Does anyone else experiencing graphical problem? When i launch the game normally through steam even from the main menu the screen looks like tearing. Although, when i launched it in windowed mode the problem seems to be resolved. Anyone else playing this game on Windows 11?
Not sure if the game itself has it, but you're probably looking for V-Sync option
No hate, but watching you play C&C is always so painful it's hilarious. I know you're just not familiar with the units and such but as someone who's played the series for 20 years it hurts to see sometimes lmao

One the thing I always liked about these games is how chaotic if can get and it requires a good multitasking ability. Base is under attack, an ore mine as been depleted, enemy units detected. See what I mean.

I have a problem, me and my friend bought RA3 yesterday on steam, we wanted to play together so I downloaded radmin vpn and did network but when we tried to join each others lobby it said "could not join game - CD key is already in use. Each player need a unique CD key in order to play LAN matches." Pls help.

Personally, I think tib wars is easier. Ra3 all units have special power, support powers dont cost money and AI feels more conpetent.
Terror drone infextions can be removed by repair said unit with war/sea/airport or forcefiring dolphinshot through the unit. You can also forcefire infekted unit to kill it and the drone, if they are too far from the repair structures.
The Rising sun dlc is also very good !
How come your gameplay is smooth? I tried playing it again on my pc with rtx 3060 and it's stuck on 30 fps.
I'm not sure. This was on Steam, so maybe that's why?

how did you get so good graphics? I downloaded it and the graphics were so bad i uninstalled it. I even changed it to ultra high and it did nothing. Help please
I just started playing, it worked for me. I can only change the graphics on the main menu though. After it should ask you if you’re sure and I clicked yes and it worked.

I just got this for PS3. Is there a way to make your vehicles patrol instead of sitting still? Can you make your planes fly around your base along with tanks and other vehicles?
i know i am late but technically there is a planning mode that lets you set routes of patrol, and planes can do a circle along the base but if they are bombers its not recomended letting them go ham because they could lose against aa or blow 10 bombs over the same infantryman and ignore the armored column behind him
@@diegohiramguidogarcia6003 how do you set the routes? I've been playing work weeks now and all my vehicles stay still unless an enemy comes close.
@@Bocaj77 ctrl+z for planning mode and alt + right click for waypoints, this way you can have Mobile aa troops patrolling your base, tanks ready to gun down enemy units or planes going back to the same place to bomb again, (be carefull if the enemy has set a counter along your routes) also sorry i don't know about ps3 controls but You can try the bumpers and command button, also sorry if its not really helpfull but i literally could not find the digital ps3 manual

The best C&C Game was Red Alert 3. i had played hundrets of games until f.... EA shut down the server. I found now red alert 3 on steam and i can use an EA Abo to play it?!?!? Does somebody know, if i can play red alert3 online with that abo???
