- This video was made to remember all the brave soldiers who sacrificed themselves for our country, and to all 429 sailors who lost their lives on the U.S.S. Oklahoma on December 7, 1941.
IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ:
Well, it’s finally here, after almost a year of researching just what happened to the U.S.S. Oklahoma at Pearl Harbor. I want to address a few issues with the video. For one, the lack of torpedo geysers. I didn’t add any because green screen can’t be resized and positioned on iMovie IOS. I could’ve used another video editing software on my computer, but it was just far too close to Memorial Day to even begin to hope learning it on time. You’ll also notice how there’s a complete lack of sounds of the attack, like plane engines zooming and bombs exploding. The reason for this is because I couldn’t find any realistic air raid attack sounds that would sound just like Pearl Harbor, so I reluctantly left it as is. I thoroughly searched dozens upon dozens of videos, but I unfortunately just couldn’t make it work out, and I apologize for this. Lastly, I want to talk about the timing I have certain events at. Despite researching for several months, I just couldn’t really tell the exact time certain things occurred. The torpedo impact sequences for example, are based off of a report about the Oklahoma I found by the Navy, but that’s it. Other events are just educated guesses. No mention of the time they occurred at all. As a result, I just had to resort to winging it. Fortunately, there are events that I feel are pretty accurate in the times that they occurred, like the U.S.S. Arizona exploding or people abandoning ship. The animation is far from accurate because the Oklahoma is not a well-researched ship like the Titanic or Lusitania. Despite all of these flaws, I’m proud at my attempt to bring this mighty battleship’s story to life like never before. - Розваги
IMPORTANT: Please read the description. It has some very important information you all need to know.
We remember those who have fallen.
Thank you for making this, it really helped me with my personal in real time remembrance when it comes to times, I know your times might not be accurate but it's the only thing I could find that has a definitive time. Hopefully maybe you can do one for the Arizona or Utah, from what I know the Arizona touched bottom 14 minutes after it was hit, in case that helps.
I’ll definitely cover the Utah if a model becomes available, and I’ll cover the Arizona someday. I’ll cover the West Virginia someday too
@mrplane4205 ok sounds great, if I can be of any help, please let me know, but I can't guarantee how much I can give, Pearl Harbor isn't really my strong suit, but I've researched a bit of the times of key events.
@@ashtondoublet8334 well thank you! That would be greatly appreciated! Pearl Harbor is a pretty strong suit of mine, specifically the USS Oklahoma and USS West Virginia!
Well done. Glad I found your video. Thanks!
You’re welcome!
You done very good showing how the actual ship rolls over not the michael bay stuff
Ah, yes. That absolute disaster of a movie. Like, did you see how they portrayed the Oklahoma as having four propellers?
@@mrplane4205 it would have been as uss Utah she has four propellers but they are underwater after she rolled in real life
Hey Mr plane c@n I tell you something
Sure
