I purchased the RG Ally Z1 extreme last weekend and It exceeded my expectations. Mind you I have a PS5 and a gaming PC so I'm used to pretty good performance. Outside of the terrible 1 - 1.5 hour battery life, the device is amazing. Hopefully, we can upgrade the internal battery at a later stage.
yes, YOU "CAN" upgrade it... just return it before the 30-day return period ends and wait for the Ally X... trust me, even if you change it yourself, $100 USD more for more ram and almost double the battery capacity are way cheaper than your time spent.

I enjoy your delivery so much! And your channel is the one that's eventually going to get me totally sold on ROG Ally, despite me having all possible current gen consoles 😂
If I’m gonna get one it needs faster base clock speeds. Not just more ram but much faster ram so it’s an actual noticeable improvement. The biggest thing holding the ally back is the limited slow 16gb ram. A bigger oled screen with smaller bezels and magnetic joysticks would be nice. Also if it’s more ergonomic that would be very welcome.

Well YES GET THE NEW X the current version is full of faults ! that's not even a question to ask, :)
and yet, here we are 😂😂😂
Anyone else get super triggered every time he put his fingers on the screen. Kept thinking “no no no!” “Wipe it off WIPE IT OFF!” 😡
hahahahaha now that you mentioned it 😭😭😭
Nah lol.. it’s a touchscreen dude
Hilarious! You can tell this man is genuinely comfortable with his gaming handheld
@@ThoughtFrenzy real recognise real! ✊🏽
You tripping bro it's all good though 😂
Buy 2 unit
send funds pls 😂😂😂
I'm been saying I was planning to get an ally if it was black, I can stand having white consoles because they get dirty quick
yeah fair enough. I've on your side too. after using the ally for almost a year now I'd say that it actually held up well BUT I can already notice some part of it stained 😭
nah better buy lenovo legion go asus rog has a cheap build like its not premium i regret buying my rog ally over lenovo
for me, the lack of a vrr display is why i cannot really consider the legion go
Waiting steamdeck 2 this 2025
too long of a wait for me haha
I will never buy another asus product, a company this has no respect for there customers and make it seem like its our fault, no never again will I buy there product.

I wouldn’t buy the ROG ally purely because the SD card readers don’t work
i mean, they technically work. you just don't know when they will get fried lmao
@@Geekception so they don’t work then. Something that’s fully working shouldn’t fry my sd cards
Yo bruh your energy is very magnetic 🧲, love the content positive and very informative . I’m glad I subscribed
aww, thank you so much Paul. im glad to have you here ❤️
Steam deck still wins. Ally burns SD cards, has a smaller screen has sticks that will drift badly after little use and Asus will deny a warranty claim if you so much as put a tiny scratch on the device and force you to pay $200 or threaten to send your device back disassembled.
Steam deck all day
yeah, i fully support using something you enjoy!
my friends don't buy this trash. Just get Legion Go or Steam Deck Oled
how about we allow our friends to think for themselves?
Ey! Haven’t seen your videos for years! Glad to see you and your content again! More power to you! 🫡😎
ayyyy, thanks so much fam. how have you been
@Geekception Doin' good! Still enjoying your content! Looking forward to more videos from you! Waving from the Philippines here! 👋🏻🇵🇭
Considering it's been out a year, and a much better model is coming out in less than a month for only 100$ more, just wait
different strokes for different folks haha
@@Geekception it's the best choice. 24 gb ram plus a bigger battery. I don't care much for the battery because I play plugged in, but I could really use that extra 8gb of ram, since I got the xg mobile 4090.
@@entertainmentgaming8738 best choice (for you haha). others will have different criteria such as if it is cheaper, if they already have the xg mobile etc etc
