I'm honestly impressed. On almost every video with Rainn is it, someone makes a pointless comment about his role of "The Office". On this video, the first page doesn't have a single one. This channel shouldn't be popular because of "The Office", but about the wonderful things this channel does.
Short term: Blissed-out, euphoric, high. Longterm: Acceptance of yourself and other people. And I agree...it's not always useful to be too happy all the time.
His voice is so mesmerizing and peaceful... Hm, 10 words or less... I would say happiness is: "being content with what you have, not what you want" ...i rekon it'sthe feeling where what there is in the moment becomes all there is in around you, and you take solace in that, and there is no want.
What a fantastic exchange between 2 masters. Deepak, the master of spirit, and Rainn the master of wit. Thanks Rainn for creating SoulPancake, it's a great example of the creative impulse encouraging and inspiring others to do the same.
Happiness is "Pleasure attained via improvement of one's entire being." 8 words. To me this means every time you learn something new, master a new task, treat someone else with kindness, look at art that you love, go for a bike ride, whatever you love, you earn yourself a little piece of happiness.
Happiness is awareness of your true nature. (Breaking that down: happiness is how I felt when I first started to become aware of who I am. I am still in that process of becoming aware and the closer I get to perfect awareness of that from day to day, which includes doing the (creative) things that resonate with my true nature, is the happier I am.)
Happiness is not one emotion; it ranges from pride to comfort. The felling of being loved and the feeling of completing one of your life goals are both happiness but are different.
Happiness is when emotion and thought come to common goal. When what you want coincides with what you need, when you feel the joy and know the good it brings. That's happiness for me, I think.
I think happiness is whatever you want it to be. It's different with every moment that passes, but the process in finding happiness is always the best part.
Okay, my definition of happiness is: Selfless giving...whether it's creating a work of art, or serving someone a cup of tea, or grooming my dog---I believe when we are creatively, selflessly giving---we are in a "prayer state"---which to me is HAPPINESS. Thanks for asking, Rainn!!
I grew up listening to Deepak Chopra tapes in my mothers car. It's so wonderful to see him in a situation like this that's so relatable. I want to hang out with these two :)
Wow powerful words~ Great to be a part of here on the tube. Very well said, divine implication. Yet how many really experience the power of these simple words? Are words enough? It is the EXPERIENCE in-between the thoughts or in this NOW moment where that is~*~
Happiness is all around us, it's attracted by certain ways of thinking, so thinking positively about life and being happy with yourself will give you a wonderful life. It all comes from our perspective of the situation.
Happiness is a perspective that you have to chose to experience. Everyone decides what circumstances or events they require to permit happiness. Happy people have far fewer requirements.
Those who choose to criticize Chopra still haven't found their way into the gap. The gap between the past and present, where you let go of what you think and what you feel and you just exist. It's a critical point in your life when you find yourself there. It's a lot to handle living in the present when everyone lives in other times. It creates a deeper love of life.
Exactly. This is why I want to bring back the Be Here Now movement. And my original suggestion for the van was glow in the dark stars. Happiness is sitting on Deepak Chopra, if that's what you're doing at the time.
Best one yet Rainn! Some of it rang true with me, some of it didn't, but I thought this was more interesting than the other interviews so far. Closer to the core of what I see Soul Pancake's mission to be.
i am glad we have s/one like Deepak keeping the Life and Dreams abnd Goals of the Hindus and spirituality alive although, like in Yoga and Buhddism, there is no CONCRETE route to attaining their goals the fact that he's here he knows what he knows and has the integrity to say exactly what he knows to be true is a very commendable action
