I have looked at this video on my old laptop (16:9 display) and my phone, and because in my editing software I set this video to 1920 x 1200 (my current laptop) on those other devices it shrinks the video to fit all of it since the video is bigger than what the device supports. I think for now on to make it easier for me, I will record like what I do for lethal company & content warning, so the video will reach the sides since I will edit at 1920 by 1080. For content warning & lethal company it doesn't really matter when I do this because these games are usually darker, nothing really gets cut out but for Minecraft, I think that my hotbar and maybe whatever effects I have will be cut off so it fits the screen because I don't feel like trying to stretch the video to fit because it looks weird. If I find a better way to deal with this I will change how I record/edit. Hope you enjoy the video and tell me what you think!
In my opinion, Minecraft will never die. Atleast for a LONG time. The game is getting lots of popularity recently. Including the mods like horror, distant horizons, good quality of life updates, good visual mods.
You guys make me feel old. I remember when minecraft originally was coming out, playing the demos. I've watched it die and come back to life so many times lol
I think people underestimate how long it takes to make updates. I would rather them split the updates and release a more polished game than them release a huge update that's unplayable
Funny thing i noticed about all these 2024 minecraft video essays. Since when did recent minecraft timelines started initiating in 1.16 and not 1.13 anymore?
I used 1.16 as an example and the start of my explanation because to me it is a update that I can use to help me explain the differences from it to other updates, and it came out 4 years ago while 1.13 was 6 years ago.
Actually a lot of people like this update... I do as well I think it does add to or revamp some good things.... Why are you so concerned about quantity? Quality is always over quantity... And these features are great, would you rather not have 1.21 at all?
Yes, quality is always over quantity, I don't remember what I said that led you to that conclusion, unless I was talking about how I felt that there was little content compared to updates like 1.16. My thought about this is that I would rather have a less quantity of content that was better quality than a larger quantity of content that was less quality like you said. I think what I was speaking about in the video was that I feel like when it takes a year for a major update to come out, that there would be both of those (quality & quantity) to a level that is greater than what it appears this update is now. I am not saying that the features now are low quality, they are not but it just feels less of it that will last a full year. Last part of this giant paragraph, no, I would rather have an update than no update, I am happy to get 1.21 even if it is not exactly the direction that I wanted MC to go.

I think you forgot that during 1.17-1.19 the world was struggling with health restrictions.

I agree, it will have its ups and downs but will stay here for a long time
