*oh, what's this? I have to pick one mustang? Okay, let's get ready to take them all home*
@@thejack9178 they can be released, being adopted is better than them being left in a pen for the rest of there lives or put in a kill pen.
Lol
Meeeeeee. 😂👏
Yes same
Or back to the land they were kidnapped from
10:25 That guy purposefully hit that horse. There was no reason to actually hit that horse with the flag as it was moving along and doing nothing wrong!
dontask996 yea that was kinda fucked
dontask996 the horse was doing just fine getting to the trailer until he hit him with the flag. Great way to cause injury to the horse if he got a leg caught in the fence.
I know
I was thinking that too. So unnecessary...
Pissed me the hell off as well, I fucking hit him with a stick godamn fatso
Those horses aren't "picking fights." They've put multiple bands together, freshly castrated half of them, and then shoved a bunch of unsocialized animals in pens that are too small in front of humans. They're trying to re-establish the pecking order. Completely normal.
Terese Durand exactly. This is obviously a stressful situation, but the way a horse handles stressful situations can tell you about how receptive they will be to training.
You just contradicted yourself in saying that they aren't picking fights but are establishing a pecking order; that is what picking fights means. The only reason there wasn't more of a fight was because none of the other horses wanted to be at the top of the pecking order like that one did.
@@pasteldreams5413 They're trying to say they don't want to pick the bastard of the group. A pecking order is fine but nobody wants the asshole.
Still, someone who isn't extremely skilled with problem horses in problem situations shouldn't be encouraged to adopt a horse like that black mare. That mare is also an example of many mares/stallions in a domestic setting as well. It is the demeanor of the horse.
That is what I would expect to happen
Maybe I'm just different than most people but I ALWAYS pick the wildest of the bunch. They're the ones at higher risk of slaughter and it helps when you know what you're doin'.
Jubilentcharlie 7768 that’s so good of you :)
Makes sense to me👍🏻👍🏻
Jubilentcharlie 7768 I always do that with any horse I buy :D
The world needs more people like you
i fucking love you man...
This beautiful baby at 4:28 really cought my eye. I feel so bad for him& i'm seriously hoping, that he gets a beautiful home. 😩😩
He did get a great home. The family that adopted him was very excited about him
Great News
I have no idea how you just picked one I swear I would just take them alllll home 😩😩
Halliex Shea honestly I would to
Your limited on how many you can adopt at one time .
Robert Moore well you obviously don’t know what you’re talking about.
Yea . I don't think you can adopt more than 6 at one time. But if I'm wrong . Then how many can you at one time tell.me ?
Robert Moore sorry i read your comment wrong. my apologies.
I've only ever seen one bay roan in person before, and he was simply breath taking. I literally couldn't stop staring at his shiny coat, it kept shifting between a dark roan and an indistinct bay, one second it looked the first color but if you blinked it switched.
Dava Jo you should see his color now! He’s really rained out this summer!
*roaned
@@CamillesMustangs Ooh, maybe do an update video on how he's doing? I'd love to see him! My own horse is a bay tobiano paint mare, 15hh Quarter Horse, named Spirit. Every year she changes color. In winter she looks black, almost no brown unless seen in strong direct sunlight. In spring she turns much lighter brown, her shedding winter coat heavily flecked with gold amd red. But my favorite is summer!
Some years she'll be darker brown with golden blonde ears, poll, hips, loins, and muzzle. Other years she has hints of red instead right before the chocolate brown fades to a far paler shade... I can't describe it. This year it looks like she'll be medium chocolate brown with tiny hints of blonde. Summer is the only time I can see her black leg markings clearly, since they're mostly covered in white, and otherwise too dark.
That was so sad when your first horse was coming and that man hit it’s legs and it like fell on the fence
When they kept on like kinda whipping ur mustang on and when he hit his shoulder I was kinda pissed
Amy Kenny I started to scream at my phone because of it
Nicole Cate ya like
Kinda? I wanted to scream LMAO
Yeah it annoyed me too. But all the ‘whip’ is is a small, bendable, thin rod with a flag so I would assume it didn’t hurt. Although it may have hurt when he hit the fence. I can see why everybody’s annoyed though.
Girl calm down the man didn’t whip him he whipped the floor. Look again, 10:23 He had to get him moving somehow. He hit himself against that fence. Geeez so sensitive.
I do not pick the Mustang. I let the Mustang pick me.
♥️♥️
I would let the mustang in the nature
THATS SO CLICHE AHHAHAHAHAHAHA SORRY SORRY BUT HAHAHAHAHAHA
Bay ur so cliche
Ornella Robert sadly most mustangs are dying in the wild due to cattle ranchers and hunters, so if you put the horses back in the wild they would die
They are all so scared. Bless their hearts.
Did I hear that correctly did she say biding starts at 25! I need to go to one if these events.
Yes that’s correct
So is there any extra fees??? Its just what you bid and you get it for that??? We don't have a lot of horse's up in Canada/buffalo.
25$ JEEEEEEE BROOO some horse can cost to 30k FUCK FUck this I can buy almost all of those horses x2 jeee
There may be a coggins fee. But my understanding is there are fencing/arena/enclosure requirements to adopt these horses.
I did have a old mustang (well into his 20s) and he was just fantastic. I would definitely adopt a few if I had the requirements on my property.
Working on it.
I think she also said that there is a (in total) 1000$ adoption fee
First time watching your videos but I shed some happy tears for Jane and for you. Was so happy to see that Jane didn't back down from bidding for that horse she clearly had a connection with. Kept her hand in the air the whole time, yess.
It's a dream of mine to own a mustang someday.
On a serious note tho😂, y’all are doing great!! I love watching ya’lls progress and can’t wait to see where you take him!
J Winburn and you are doing great with Mister Magnum! I love watching y’all’s journey!! 💕
Omg hi. Lmao.
The QUEEN J Winburn has entered the chat
5:11 I hope that $1,000 incentive being offered helps find more Mustangs a home. I like that only gives 2nd half of $500 after a year with a vet sign off. - Name popped into my head is "Snickers".
I got to rescue two mustangs once it they were breath taking one a palomino mare and a buckskin gelding, their names are Mia and Prince
They forget to tell people this but they stated the wasn't enough food for them, the horses that don't get called are sold to kill buyers, then they shipped in inhumane processes I know this first hand 🐴
A lot of the mustangs in the wild get killed by the government this is a good opportunity for them.
Do you have any video, pictures or other documentation to prove what happens? I'm very interested in obtaining anything you can offer. Can you tell me how you know first hand? I'm not doubting you, I just want to understand as much about the methods that are used by different slaughter-businessmen.
No, you don't know that firsthand as it is against federal law for the blm to sell mustang's for slaughter. Any horse not adopted gets sent to long term holding to live out its life in large pastures with other mustang's. Stop spreading lies.
@@erintubb9860 have you not heard about what they’ve been doing for years? It’s finally in the media. If you haven’t already, I’d suggest you take a look...
@Nej Bk you only know the lies that the anti roundup nuts spread. The truth doesn't support their agenda so they use lies to get people to open their wallets.
It’s so sweet that you didn’t bid on that one horse because the other girl liked him ❤️
10:26 that was completely unnecessary
Hannah Erickson and after that the kid laughed!? Disappointed and disgusted...
@@ashamedequestrian1543 can't say that i am surprised tbh
I completely agree. Some of the treatment that the horses in places like that get is disgusting. The size of their pens with that many horses is unfair.
I personally would of chose that guy who kept picking fights. I LOVE horses with lots of life and when their feisty. He had a pretty good build and color. If I trained him up, he’d be a great show horse.
9:37 beautiful light grey horse between the middle and end. You should’ve yelled at that man to be careful with your horse.
I love how you keep your tags!!!! I’ve been planning on adopting a mustang for 3 years now and I personally was going to take the freeze branding of the mustang I picked up and tattoo it on my arm or print it on a t shirt, but taking the tags and hanging them on your mirror is really inspiring!!! I love your evaluation process and am glad to see you chose the gelding you wanted!! Man, I got to get down there sometime soon to get a mustang!!
I really enjoyed this video. You think you'd consider getting a small mic, to was so hard to hear your instructions. The writing at the bottom used for explaining was a bit to small, for me anyways. These aren't complaints but maybe suggestions. I very much enjoyed watching. Thank you
Bless you and best of luck ❤️🙏🙋🏻
And I love how you add commentary on how you pick your horses and what you were looking for. If I ever have a property big enough I will definitely be rescuing mustangs. Thank you for giving those beautiful horses a second chance. Huge fan!
Great choice you made. He's going to make a fantastic horse. I love the way you work with him too, very gentle and no scary moves. Good luck with him.
The video has been really interesting and informative. I absolutely love the black kicking gelding he's so spirited, and your lessons on early breaking in absolutely amazing, thanks for sharing this Onelove.
I am surprised the one I picked out while you were just video taping is the one you picked! His face and curiosity jumped out at me.
That is so nice not to bid on a horse when you know someone else likes it.
Love your video you seem to know your stuff. I have a little farm in outback Australia and I adopt horses only because I want to care for them and give them a loving home. I never sell them because there is too much of an attachment. Most of the horses have either been mistreated or neglected and need some horsemanship to regain their confidence and trust in people. Cheers
As a future prospective horse buyer this was really fun and interesting for me to watch and learn about. Plus, I’m retiring to some property in Oklahoma in the near future so that made it even better. Thanks for sharing this.
This was a Really interesting watch and I look forward To see his journey with you! :)
That buckskin and the dapple with the dorsal stripe would have been my pick based on looks alone. Absolutely gorgeous!
Aw man this brings back memories of when I picked up Sterling! Good times, good times. Does make me want to do another one though XD
ALWAYS HERE WATCHING YOUR PROGRESS GIRL 🙌
I just found you through suggested videos. First off, Great work your videos are very informative and you get some great shots!! I just made a UA-cam channel so I’m definitely doing my research. Thanks for all your help. Please keep it up! Just subbed!
That’s a neat process when you pick them out. Someday I would like to give this a try.
I live in Oklahoma so i was thinking about getting a Mustang from here since my mare passed away. I'm also trying to sell, or give away my rocky mountain mare, who is also registered to someone who could take care of her. I've been riding my youngest sorrel mare but she has a leg injury that is reoccurring so i can't ride her as hard. I still go on small trails which she has proven she can handle. Anyway nice video, it's good seeing people adopt mustanges rather then letting them go to kill buyers.
Such a beautiful mustang you adopted😍😍
I kinda like the name Ace for him, lmao, can’t wait to see more of him, he’s quite small though.
Yea.. it’s actually normal to find small mustangs. I think if I’m not mistaken it’s hard to find a “huge” mustang
1:37 that dun one, that’s the one for me. Just look how gorgeous, all of them are❤️
4:19 YAAAAAA this one is sooooo pretty omgggg
4:19 that’s Spirit right there!
I was very glad that Jane got Woody, those two looked like they really connected :3 if I had the opportunity I'd definitely adopt a horse instead of buying, there are so many amazing horses out there that need homes.
Thank you so much for including the BLM explanation on why they do this.
Too bad she's lying. We just had a huge roundup in Colorado...There is video and photo proof of thousands of sheep being brought in for grazing days later. Its all about the ranchers and their money.
Loved the video! 💕 I am also an Aggie, class of 2020 😁 gig’em 👍🏼
Lauren Vills I’m 2021! Whoop!
They way that those monsters treated the mustangs made me sick to my stomach. Like yeah smacking the ground like a phsycopath with a flag will make the horse have any respect for you. I am all for getting mustangs homes, but seriously I just wish those people would of gotton kicked for doing that.
yeah but if they got kicked they would’ve just got even more mad and hurt the horses even more 🙄
there not trying to make the horse respect them, they're trying to get it to move. Horses respond to pressure. Smacking the ground is pressure. The horses wont get homes if they don't get moved into the loading pens and trailers.
Oh, pretty horses! I like the palominos and grays.
This is awesome!!
Love this ! Amazing!
Oh this is so cool, we are going to the Mustang Makeover in Germany next month and cannot wait! We would obviously love to see all mustangs running wild and free forever but modern times do not allow for that and training is so much nicer than the 'horse meat' option. My son has just rescued a cob foal, and has promised me that one day he will break a mustang and ride it Hidalgo style in full western at our local trail events here in Yorkshire, England :o)
Will MX Kid have fun! Hidalgo is one of my favorite movies!
Camille's Mustangs If you look at our UA-cam photo it is of my fat Irish Cob ‘Baby’ and my 9 year old rides him every night pretending he is Hidalgo 🤣 Baby has a girth that could make up two whole mustangs
He's gorgeous!! Can't wait to see how he progresses! How bout obsidian? Or eclipse?❤❤❤
It’s awesome that people are adopting these mustangs!
Fun fact kid me thought that the word mustang meant “ must tame “ 🤦🏽♀️ I was a dumb kid
Ps... so glad you chose the bay roan. He's beautiful
Beautiful, thank you very much from florida.
$100 dollars to get a Mustang? Damn.
As someone aspriring to own horses later in life, I still have a lot to learn. I'm currently trying to get a job as a ranch hand on a 20 acre ranch.
Anyways, good informative video👍👍
That bay gelding is awesome.
Hey, you came not to far from where I live! I wanted to adopt one from the Idabel auction but I didn't have enough funds. There was a beautiful cremello yearling with the most beautiful blue green eyes there ❤
11:57 every time my dad would take us to see the Christmas light show in College station we'd always see that Aggie Barn XD I wonder if it's still there after all these years..
i respect this adoption place! their horses are all fed and stocky and not to mention nicely built!
I can not wait to see other videos!!!
I like how you handled the horse when you got him home, but I'm surprised you didn't let him settle in for awhile before going up to him. Like a couple days, maybe going into the fenced area, but just hanging out with him. He didn't look worried, but I thought that was rushing it a bit.
Will Rogers had a horse named Soapy. Those pretty markings reminded me.
I remember put a halter on my colt for the first time, had to use a cow shoot and he still put up a fuss.
these horses are all so gorgeous!
This is so depressing. I wish the BLM would improve reproduction control instead of continuing to just round them up and hope for the best
That is the goal but reproduction control does not solve the problem that there are currently too many horses on the range that are starving due to overpopulation
There have been some studies done on reproduction control, but the BLM doesn't have the budget to round up and castrate the necessary number of males, nor are there any cost effective birth control options for mares at the moment.
It takes at least 5 years for birth control to be fully effective. It's a good long-term solution that can be used with short term methods, i.e., adoptions.
There are too many uninformed public’s that oppose sterilization efforts. They claim them to be “cruel” and infringe on the “wild value” that mustangs represent.
@@CamillesMustangs Since I am here in Nevada, I can tell you that really is not a problem either. The problem is the guys who run the BLM, don't really give a damn about the horses. They are too busy playing big shot in their departments. There are plenty of people who are donated time and resources to make sure the horses have water and feed, especially in the winter time.
Are you able to bid on two horses or more? Wonderful video overall, I love watching your channel!!
I have been there twice it’s a very cool experience!!
The little sorrel a sweet one and the bay beautiful. All catching the eye in one respect or another. Want to save rhwm all. Everyone filled with potential, some a little easier., others harder but still its there, ignite that spark of friendship...loyalty and you've got something fully worth it.
I would have picked the fighter at the beginning. More challenging, and they tend to be the boldest. :)
Likewise. She caught my eye too.
So cool guy and beautiful, good luck in the future!
Jane getting Woody made my day!
That’s so awesome that you’re adopted a mustang😁
We would have been looking at the same horses if I had been able to go last year. That's crazy. "It's a small world after all."
🤣🤣 "I don't like Jude. He's not a Jude." Guess you changed your mind. 😁
Wish I was there. Delightful idea !
Such a pretty mustang 😍
Do you have any information on how to actually start adopting and gentling mustangs? I really want to help conserve the ones on the rage and adopting them will help in the long-run but I can't find any modern information.
When I get the space and time I want to adopt mustangs. I love the breed.
This video is amazing. One of my goals is to see them in real life one day.
that's the one I picked out..you have good taste
That was awesome!
That grulla (I think it's a grulla) definitely caught my eye! I would have bid on her :)
You guys are so lucky living such a great life, saving, caring, loving and being loved by so beautiful beings in your breathtaking lanscapes.
Congrats and cheers from a big city in Spain :)
I had a question. How do you find the mustang auctions. Because I’ve been wanting to get one for a while.
10:25
What the hell was that for???!!
I feel bad for laughing but why!!! 😂
Looks like an accident
Andrea Gibson yeah no, he definitely hit that poor guy! And hard enough for the dude to run against the fence to get away! Not okay...
I'm confused. What's the difference between adopting and buying in this sense? Do you not own the horse?
from France, these mustangs are so beautiful and your national treasure. please take care of them
But I live in Tulsa Oklahoma I didn’t know they had a mustang adoption place that’s awesome
When I move out and get my own home (if I end up having enough room of course and enough money lol) I’ll definitely want to go to something like this to pick out my first horse :)
You shouldn't get a mustang as a first horse. Believe me I've seen people get horses that have no idea what they are doing and then the horses pay the price at slaughter. In no way am I saying that you have no idea what your doing I'm just saying that you should maybe get an older experienced horse for your first horse. Or you could volunteer at a horse sanctuary and learn how to properly do everything. You need to have a lot of patiences with training a horse, especially a mustang. Just because people do it on UA-cam doesn't mean its all rainbows and flowers. Things can go wrong very quickly. You have to keep in mind that you are starting a horse. A horse that knows absolutely nothing about being domestic. So please consider getting a horse that you have the ability of riding and training. No I am not trying to be the "horse police." Just please consider speandinh years with horses before you get a mustangs. I'm not hating I'm just giving you advice.
What is the link to Jane and her mustang woody?
This made me smile, because he looks a lot like my horse doc😂
I have a Mustang, named Tracker. All we really know about his past is that he used to be a jail horse (one Prisoners rode). But then a lady adopted him, because he didn't grow as big as they wanted him to. And then we got him from her.
3:14 The dapple palomino 😍 I love palominos
i live in oklahoma, hoping one day to be able to get one of these once i retire my mare
Hey I have been riding for about two years but I’m not very educated on the bidding mustangs category. Can someone tell me the difference between adopting and buying? Please and thanks!
I would have picked that black one... Very clear that that one wasn't very happy there... If you give that one a good home will be happy and prob a very good buddy to have
Have you ever gentled a mare from them? I always had mares growing up and am looking into thia process but haven't had a horse in 10 years although I'm around them a lot at my jobs so I'm not super rusty with em
How can I do this, I always wanted to try but I don't know what are the frist steps to do so
When i got my mustang we did not have bet on them .. I just ask what was left and i take my. Home
The cast was 25 dollar. So not sure what the bet all about
I'm the person that would have picked the black mare (I think it was a mare) that was causing a fuse, and kicking everyone. Idk, she just looked adorable.
Me too
Sorry if this i dumb, but if you adopt a mustang from a place like this, do you have to do the extreme mustang makeover?
Have you ever had a horse who took a immediate liking to one person but hate everyone else?
How do you ride, groom, wash or put rugs on
