I’ve been using this to practice my slide guitar technique. Standard tuning because it works with your chord charts. I’m tempted to do the vocal, too, but I’m a guy, and that might be sacrilege.
@@nowyoushred Now there's an idea. I was just trying to do the slide part from the opening stanza of the album version. I'll assume that the notes have to be in the same key as the chords being played on the piano, and go from there.

Love this track! I think there is a mistake though in your scale diagrams. For example at 4:04, I think you intend for the scale to be labeled D Minor Pentatonic, but it is labeled G Minor Pentatonic. It happens a few other places late in the track as well. Thanks for the awesome backing tracks. They're the best I've found!

+6onza Thanks for your input! I produce a lot of hip hop and I get a little crazy with the kick sometimes. Maybe some day there will be a budget for mastering on this channel and we'll be able to iron out all those issues. Your feedback definitely helps though. Are you running mono by any chance?

Check out the latest Paul Gilbert videos. He recently has explained a lot about phrasing and his approach to make the guitar "sing".

Dorian works great over most of this, but once that Ebmaj7- Cm come in, that E note isn't going to work!
