I said Satterfield got demoted, but after thinking about it more, that's obviously not true. He was reassigned and I'd much rather push a positive/more accurate narrative there.
I think Thomas/Satterfield combination with Raiola will yield a top 35 offense to go with a top 20 defense. We should have an 8+ win season.
@@GT0311I like it. I can see it.
I actually believe you made a lot of sense.
Rhule wanted Satterfield to be OC and TE coach last year, but couldn’t get Jake Peetz to be the QB coach. Now with Thomas taking what would have been the Peetz position, he has the setup he wanted.
Rhule has had co-offensive coaches before. This is not surprising.
I grew up in eastland county Texas. I'm root root rooting for Glenn. Very cool to see a small town guy make it.
Let’s get the offense rolling boys!
This is the best Nebraska commentary.
Thanks brother!
Always waiting for new videos man. I never paid attention to anything off season until I found you last winter. Keep up the great work, it’s much appreciated.
DITTO !
Appreciate the support brother, I’m doin my best!
Interesting...I like that Rhule isn't just sitting on his hands this off-season hoping for things to change. He's moving his chess pieces around and making moves, let's hope this all pays off in the next season!! GBR
🔴⚪️🌽☠️
He’s an action taker! It’s been fun to watch
Couldn't agree more!
Another good show Connor. 😊😊
Double DITTO !
Thanks Judy ❤️
Another great video
Glad you enjoyed it brother
I like Matt Rhule 's approach. He identifies the issues, determines a course of action, then executes the plan. Who was the last FB coach that did this for Nebraska? Keep up the Great Work Connor!!!
Let’s go!!
@CornCrazed 100% right. Me being a high school QB coach, being a college QB is tough. But I’m glad we have guys coming in and coaches. So within the next three years I expect this team to be like Baylor playing in a BIG 10 title game but I winning and making Nebraska top 10 again! Love your videos man!
Thanks Jason! I’m praying you’re right 💪🏼💪🏼
Great presentation. GBR
Thomas coming in from the NFL will REALLY help out Dylan
Great experience there!
GBR
Got to admit I'm pleasently surprised by all of Rhule's off season moves. It ACTUALLY "feels" like the mojo is turning back on. Yea baby. GBR!
Hello Connor ❤
it seemed like sat was calling plays but forgot rattler wasen't his qb..I was hoping holgerson was gonna be oc/qb coach and sat could do tight ends..with railoa NU seems to have a qb that could actually make a pass happy air Nebraska...
Can’t wait to find out
Rattler did much better after Satterfield left.
@timothycapel1952 fact checkers determined this is incorrect. He looked almost identical after Satt left.
Looks like you made it to 20,000 Subscribers. Congratulations. It is an honor well-deserved. It was smart of you to team up with Adam Carriker. I have been watching him for 2 years before I started with you. Now that both of you are working together, I know I will get good, well-researched information on Husker Football and where it is headed.
Great video
Thanks Andrew
Rhules putting the band back together.
Looking at Satterfield's record, hes not a very good coach. Wouldnt hurt my feelings if he was sent down the road.
Well, he’s got a chance to prove us wrong!
@@CornCrazed yea he could surprise me. I'm optimistic, now that he has some help. We will see.
I've been looking forward to your thoughts on this! Not surprised all that we hired a QB/co-offense coordinator, but Thomas was a surprise. I guess it shouldn't be the way Rhule sticks with his previous people. I'd bet Dylan was coming anyway, but the prospect of Thomas as QB coach might have helped ease the decision, along with all the promises he got about the O getting better. And I'm positive we'll be better on offense this year but freshman QB kind of holds me back on expectations.
Age is just a number, I’ve seen other True Fr thrive, so hopefully DR is next up 🤞🏼
Need to get Coach JB back on. He's an entertaining interview.
He was a great guest
I like your I presentation style. Nicely done
Glad it’s watchable! Thanks for being here
I love how you love Nebraska but support another guy who use to start at Nebraska back in the late 90s
connor your great man.... i agree with all of this.... keep it up my dude! GBR!! and dont forget..... THROW THE BONESSSSSSSSSS!
I would really like to see the Husker offense average at least 27 points per game this season. To me, that would be a major improvement since the Husker offense averaged 18 points per game last season. GBR!
9 pt improvement would = 9 wins (at least)
Great thoughts, yes i believe satterfield need to step down from QB coaching. Really excited to see where this new hire will take us. GBR GBR GBR!!!
I don't see Dylan coming here without a QB coach. He's too good and driven to play some place that can't develop him.
Wait…he’s literally the top QB prospect in this years class. Meaning, he’ll be really good regardless. A proven QB coach only helps to refine the details. Coaches coach. Players play. Great players rise beyond it all.
Excuse me but he's signed already so he's coming.. also everything Rhule is doing he's running it by the Raiola family. Learn to trust Rhule before giving your opinions.
@shawnd4415 not true. There have been hundreds of top 5 qb prospects in last 40yrs and after high school went nowhere cuz they didn't develop them right
Ur saying u don't blame satterfield cuz of the hand he was dealt but I can't count how many plays regardless of what we have was the dumbest decision ever. Even peewee offensive coaches were looking at him like why tf would u call that play
@@tonymarco134then I would argue they didn’t have the mental fortitude to play at the next level. Adrian Martinez comes to mind at Nebraska. He was a great QB, until it came to crunch time. Coaches don’t fix that “it” factor. I’m not discrediting what they do as far as development. You’re either that guy when the game is on the line or you’re not. No amount of development will fix Nebraska’s QB choking in big moments over the last 2 decades or so. I do believe Raiola will succeed in big moments because of his talent and leadership already light years ahead of just about every QB we’ve had at NE since Crouch.
Bringing in a QB coach has been something Coach talked about from the beginning. Makes sense that the person brought in would be given co-OC.
What also makes sense is commenting to impact the algorithm.
As always, #FuckTexasAlways :01 #ThrowTheBones #GBR
🥰🖤🌽
I am curious what happened with Holgerson, but I do believe Glenn Thomas will be a good addition. Let’s improve the pass completion percentage and limit turnovers and we are ready to roll!!
I don’t think Holgerson would ever be a Co-OC and Rhule wouldn’t fire Satt for Holgerson right now
I think this is a great idea. The more help we have the better. I'm hoping for wins this year. 7-5 is my prediction but there is improvement needed on both sides
I am so excited about this year. I have a feeling this team will be better than what the experts think they will be.
Go Big Red 🎉
i try to be optimistic, but to assume these young men will quickly jell as a team is any ones guess, should still be fun to watch em mature as a team
Well, last year we saw the Defense with a lot of new guys playing gel quickly! So there’s hope
Sat is going to be great helping the tight ends. He was a tight end and you can tell he knows how to teach them.
Not to put pressure on him but what might realistic numbers might look like year one for Raiola? TD’s to interceptions? Completion percentage? Just wondering what a good WB could do here, factoring in its his rookie season.
Ayyyeeee
With a freshman QB, the offense will be better but won't light the world on fire. 7-8 wins, then year 3 or 4 will be when the plan is solidified and we start being contenders. Just getting to a bowl game next year would be a huge step.
Definitely a step forward, but 6 wins would be severely underachieving with this schedule :/
@@CornCrazedyou think so lol? We play harder teams this year
I'd expect it at this point!
GBR!
First
I think this is a great move on Rhules part. I will say , Nebraskan boosters are more determined to make this coaching staff more successful… I can’t say that has happened since Osborne era
I’m excited
Rhule intends to coach the coaches as well as the players. He's not willing to allow his staff to fail. That's how I see it
Do you think Dylan is basically guaranteed to start?
He is guaranteed to start as long as he doesn’t get injured
As to Thomas hire. I don't think him being in charge of the QB's for the Steelers is no ringing endorsement for this hire. Neb hasn't had very much luck with its head football coaches in the past who have hired their old football staff, ala Scott Frost, Mike Riley.
Was I surprised at Thomas’ hire? Yes, no chatter out there about who else Rhule might be talking to in addition to Holgorsen. I wasn’t familiar with Thomas at all, I’m not that dedicated a fan, I guess.
Co-OCs will be interesting. On game day does Satterfield make the play call? Obviously, with a play clock, there can’t be a discussion on the sideline, or the team will be out of TOs quickly.
The offense HAS to improve, and I see no reason not to be optimistic. New recruits and transfers upgrade the O immensely. Better coaching? Sure hope so.
I think sat is good. but, having a couple extra hands around, helps a ton.
Love that they can afford to do so
interesting that Satt has to coordinate the Offense and coach a position group but Tony White only coordinates the defense
You can only have so many coaches in your staff
Have to use your numbers since there’s a limit on coaches
Rhule ain't stupid. Hes addressing the issues on offense from multiple angles.
💪🏼🙏🏼🌽
I thought a QB coach was needed. The Satterfield/Thomas co-offensive coordinator worked at Temple, it should work here.
Hoping so!
How the collaboration with Damon Benning going? 🤣🤣😉😉
I don’t get the joke lol
I think Sat still calls plays. Prob why Dana Holgorsen did not take this spot. IMO Matt R said he does not want the offense to start over.
I think he will too
I don't think there is much blame for Satterfield. That QB play was the worst I have ever seen. And I always thought there should be a QB coach. Sat got guys open these QBs couldn't get them the ball I seen it. No if it continues then you make changes. Last year was a big step for the defense this year is going to be a big step for the offense.
Connor TE Coach not a low man at #TEU #GoHawks. Great content keep on keep on.
That’s true haha
Iowa TE coach is a miracle worker!
Obvious the QB's needed more attention. Sat can't do it all. Hopefully Thomas is a better coach, manager, etc.
Different styles, I’m looking forward to finding out
Ive looked up Glenn Thomas. Scrutiny says he is good fit for Qbs at Nebraska. I still think MR brings in another ex-head coach as an analyst. Think Patterson at Texas. I also saw Holmgren has ego issues and might have hurt the team vibe. A side note, the OL is going to get seriously good. Sledge, Gottula, Goldman,Knutson, Pyle, Brix, Taumua. All these guys are nasty. Carter Nelson is going to be special. Think Brock Bowers, George Kittle, Kelce. I seriously think this offense will see a chance at a conference title. 24? Maybe. 25,26? Absolutely. DR is the real deal and Rhule is building a soecial program. Let's Gooooo GBR ☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️
That OL is on pace for a big 25/26! Hope Raiola reaps the reward
Omfg so glad shatterfiled was reassigned
Imagine Thomas and Raiola a couple years from now 😳
maybe nebraska can get some of the bama transfer players/.....
Nope, but next cycle if they need some, they’ll be able to!
Why is everyone excited about the steelers qb coach, KP Mitch and Mason were mid!
So. Carolina and Rattler did much better offensively after Satterfield left for Nebraska!
Rattler completions improved 2.7% and he had 1 more TD with 4 less INTs. The offense that ranked 40th with Satt ranked 81st after he left.
Maybe you can argue Rattler got a little bit better at protecting that ball lol, but the offense TANKED after Satt left 🤣
Folks blame sat like he had a bunch of weapons at his disposal lmao I wanna see what he does with this new group of guys
Exactly
Blaming him is kinda ridiculous
You should tag Big Red Homestead. They think everything is Satts fault. They are ridiculous...
Huskers Rhule go big red we have adults in charge
No doubt about that
I am not sure what to make of this guy.. He was responsible for the QBs with the Steelers and thier QB play has been crap lately. Plus they had the number 1 pick. Was very excited for Holgerson... this guy.. I worry we just hosed Raiola
He was with them for one year as an Offensive assistant Mike Sullivan is the QB coach for them. He was Falcons and Mat Ryan's QB coach from 2008-2014 then QB/OC for Rhule. You can't just look at one single year of his coaching career
@@HeyThatWeirdGuy Connor didn't. He laid out UNLV and Arizona State too... If Matt Ryan Didn't succeed with his WRs back then. Matt Ryan was gonna be sacking groceries.
I guess we have no choice but to see.
@@coreyadam2673 I didn't say anything about connor. You singled out one single year
@@HeyThatWeirdGuy i am just saying he pointed out 2 more bad experiences.. you seem to just wanna argue peice out bro
@@coreyadam2673 no I was just informing you. Sorry if that makes you upset.
Calling dylan a generational talent is getting way ahead of yourself. You know there are 5 star qbs every year right? You're only setting yourself and everyone who thinks he is jesus reincarnated for massive dissapointment when he struggles at first. Atleast let him win a couple games before you crown someone a "generational talant"
I agree.
What if Dylan left after spring ball? Lol
lol, glad we don’t have to worry bout that!
He'd leave to much NIL money to leave. LOL 😅
Satterfield should have been fired. Dana was a great hire whoever this guy is doesn't belong with our 5 star QB. It's time to stop with these diamonds in the rough the air raid is the new Meta whatever satterfield was trying to do didn't work nor has it ever.
Not impressed with the hire, ol boys club
What is it that doesn't impress you?
What don’t you like
