- While it is common knowledge that Oprah Winfrey is a media mogul and philanthropist, , you may not realize that she is also quite the real estate tycoon. She has plenty of places to call home, however, it’s her large estate in Montecito, often referred to as the Promised Land, where she can most often be found.
And this, my friends, is what's wrong with America. Excess. Materialism. The need to have the BIGGEST and the MOST. Status. Not giving a crap about the environment.
I wouldn’t know how to be happy with such wealth without sharing it.
Amazing life her neighbors the Sussex’s have and it’s never enough 🤷♀️
That would be the fun part of being a multi-millionaire/billionaire, to share it with people you care about and help those on a grand scale (like food banks in your area, scholarships for kids who in foster care/poverty to have better chances at opportunities, etc.).
Having more than one needed house and things to fill it up with? No.thanks. How does anyone truly enjoy those luxuries fully? Sure, people can do whatever they want with the money they earn.

It’s pathetic that people come on here with their little zingers and self-righteous attitudes when they know that if anyone gave them a chance, they’d jump at a house like that. Oprah’s a perfect example of the American dream. She didn’t have to be born in the “right class”, or social standing, or as an artistocrat. She is one of America’s top philanthropists and over the years has given a lot. She’s given entire audiences new cars or visit neighbourhoods at random and helped family. She’s set up several private schools in Africa fir underprivileged girls. She is the first on the scene in disaster areas, building houses paid for by her. She isn’t sitting in some palatial estate she didn’t work for, where the underlings can only see roped off rooms and wish they could step out of their present state. Besides, many of you proclaiming her excessive, know nothing about architecture and interior decorating. She deserves what she has because she worked her but off for it for years. Now she enjoys giving it away to privately help others. All I see some of you helping yourself to Is another mouthful of envy, jealousy, and criticism, which you do so well. .

Very tasteful. I love how rich people richly enhance their homes and gardens employing people as well. A couple of wealthy friends of mine....20 years ago....then, paid £1000 per week to their home and garden staff. Not to mention additional chef fees for entertaining.
Nevertheless, many people of all income levels have beautiful homes and gardens, too.

growing up all families in 50-60-70-80s had one tug it used to be a round tin tub where you would bucket hot water or use a element to heat water poor opera the day will come when you can no longer be able to get into your wonderful bathtubs because of crippling disease
