"Luck is when preparation meets opportunity"
This quote just about sums up this average for me. When I started maining pyraminx back in late 2022, I had always wanted to get a sub 2 official average. After getting 2.13 in November, I began grinding pyraminx way too much. I decided Washtenaw Winter would be the first comp in my push for sub 2, being cautiously optimistic about my chances. Then I got the round 2 scrambles, probably one of the best official scramble sets of all time, and managed to not completely screw up. 1.69 and a top player is still mind-boggling to me, and it's way ahead of its time. I don't see myself beating this any time remotely soon, but crazier things have happened (like Micah's 6.76). The solves were honestly really bad (apart from 2 and 5) but I really don't care. Only 1 nemesis left. Also really cool that this makes Michigan the top state for pyraminx.
Congrats to @MicahTheis-1.64 for getting 1.64 (even with the misscramble), and rip @carsonclark23 for double dnfing out of 1.37 NAR average
Thank you to everyone who made this possible, my dad for staying all day at my comps to see me compete, @MicahTheis-1.64 for pushing me to get better at pyra, Zach for being the best cubing buddy, @gabe_williams for putting up with my awful comp sims at lunch, @4x4-Nimrod for sticking with me, Sully for cubing again, Cole for doing letscube comp sims, Hunter for scrambling and hanging out all day, @carsonclark23 for the diabolical quote, @elliottperkins-speedcuber6727 for being famous on youtube, and my judge for calculating the average after my last solve.
This is as good as it gets
