Mike , I see that you have AGC set to either fast of medium in this video, also AGC-T set somewhere in the middle. Comments on the Community seem to suggest AGC set to OFF and a couple of people then argue that with AGC set to off, the AGC-T setting does not matter , comments ? Andy K3UK

I have never run AGC off and several of us have done some tests doing that but there is nothing to be gained that can be proven with running AGC off on a FlexRadio as the dynamic range is so good. I have even discussed it with engineering and they agree.
You turn AGC off so that you can copy weak signals and loud signals at the same time. On a Flex radio, you should have no issue copying a -19db signal right beside a +15db signal with your AGC-T set correctly. You can test this by going to 20M when it is busy and watching very closely the range of decoded you are copying. I can honestly say that my IC-7300 does not provide the same result and the only way you can tell is when you run them both side by side on the same antenna. This was something I did about a year ago as a test.
Yes, on superhet radios, especially ones not well designed, AGC off does have an advantage in order to over come the limited dynamic range.
