I used to start wring my digital/rig control device on my Icom on the Thursday afternoon before a contest in an effort to be ready for the contest start at 8pm Friday. Now with the 6600 I walk downstairs at 7:45 pm fire up the rig and the computer and be operating before 8. BTW I have the big Flex knob and it's highly recommended.
The advantage of running the 6600 on 10 meters is I could have a display on 10 CW, another on 10 FT-8, my third on SSB and finally number four on 10 FM all on the same computer window.
Mike, as a 6400 op in a heavy residential area, I heard a topic for another PodCast. How about a podcast on using a Flex to find and diagnose random sources of noise in a small house, shack or residential area. Are there best practices, ways to effectively use the radio in cooperation with other techniques? Wow, would that be a useful PodCast...
You'll wonder where your headache went when using the Flex. I upgraded from a 756 I used for contesting and there's no comparison :) Let me convince you :)
The 6600 should be about 4 weeks and the 6700 would be about 12 weeks. This changes weekly so if you are reading this, look at the post date (as of October 17, 2022). Email sales@flexradio.com for the latest status.

Not a bad idea. Do you know a subject mater expert who could talk on it?
@@FlexRadioSystems Thanks. Let me think about an SME. It would be an interesting topic.
Trying to convince myself I need to upgrade my 756pro3 to a 6400.
To be honest, that was what I did, but it was to a 6300 and never looked back.
If you see a 6400 as an upgrade, which it certainly is, then the convincing is done. Now you only need to do yourself the favor.

how long does it take to fill an order for a 6600 or 6700?

@@FlexRadioSystems thanks. I have a 6700 on order and was wondering if the 6600 would come any sooner.
