When Chris Barber was in our country (NL) I attended his concerts. They were highlights of my life. I will never forget them. Rest in peace Chris.

I’ve seen him and the band when I was in my twenties. The average old was 70plus but these guys were the jazz-Pavarotti’s!

Pat & I where close friends since january 1961. Since decease of Pat February 4, 2013, only Chris (Barber) and Jackie Flawelle (Bass) are "the memory" of 52 Years of my own traditionnal jazz Life (on banjo, trombone and tuba).JO LUTTRINGER (my Nickname frm Chris : "le petit détective").

While I used to play in the local marching band we would always play it and sing to it, so fun! I still sing on it and even got the notes. Best song ever.

I first saw and heard Chris Barber in 1957, at my local Jazz Pub in North London.

Horrible, merciless, hard-as-flint, British trad jazz with equally hard guys such as Halcox, Wheeler and Wickett. And the always completely unmoved John Slaughter. Great stuff - thanks Chris; farewell old friend!
