      It tastes pretty strong compared to other oils and also has lots of health benefits so yea drink it about 2 tbs only tho

    Thank you so much! I'm making this right now. It's in the oven. I had bought the wild rice blend to make with steak. I came on youtube to find a recipe to make with it!     I know this recipe is 10 years ago, but I am going to cook it today looks absolutely delicious. Definitely adding mushrooms because I love mushrooms and my rice and veggies. Thank you for sharing.

    Considering the title, you absolutely should have shown the wild rice at the start, both raw and after it was washed. Step #4 you mention rice "mixture." Did you use two kinds of rice? If not, what exactly did you mean by "mixture"?

    I cook wild rice and lentils with onion powder and garlic powder and cyan pepper. then I use olive oil shallots carrots and celery in a pan and put the cooked wild rice and lentil on top. I fry it up a bit to add some crunch. Use that in a burrito

      Wild rice isn't really rice at all. “Manoomin” is the Ojibwe, or Anishinaabeg, word for wild rice (Zizania palustris). The plant is actually not rice, but rather an aquatic grass that produces grain, like wheat or barley. ... Scientists have identified three species of wild rice in the United States

      What most people know, as wild rice, is pad rice (grass seed) it is narrow like pine needles, the lake harvested, harder to find, wild rice is rounder, still dark in color
      The real, wild rice tastes better, worth your time to locate the real Mccoy........

    You shouldn’t heat tin foil aluminum foil over 150° it goes into the food. Same with aluminum pot.

    I really doubt this takes 30/35 minutes in the oven. Wild rice is hard to cook but I will try this recipe, I will add some Serrano chili 🌶😋

      Yes, you can use water but the flavor will be much better when you use chicken stock to cook the rice.

      As most rice is different, please follow the appropriate measurements on the bag of the rice you will use. A rule of thumb is to have the rice in the sauce pan and to fill water to about ½ inch over the rice for pilaf method.

      Dayan P A wild rice mixture is a bag that contains a mixture of different wild rices. I buy mine at Costco, just saying.

    You shouldn't cook with olive oil. Instead grapeseed or sesame seed oil.

      Never olive oil! Grapeseed, sesame or avacodo oil is much healthy in heat.

      It's not rocket science, nor is it baking where ingredients need to be measured precisely. It's a demonstration of technique, and the only proportion that is essential in this case is the water:rice by volume.
