Favorite waterfall is Gooseberry Falls on the north shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota. Thanks for sharing your visit to Rainbow Falls. We will definitely check out Gorge's State Park. And wow! Fall is so beautiful in WNC.
Thanks so much for watching our video, Lisa! Did you get a chance to visit Gorge's yet? Thanks for the tip about Gooseberry Falls, hopefully we'll get a chance to visit some day!!
Schoolhouse Falls in Panthertown Valley is definitely my favorite. Love the video, Gorges is definitely on my list! And plus, with the colors we have this year, it must be spectacularly beautiful!
Thx to your video I just saw all this along with the amazing drive through the country from asheville to Gorges Park, amazeballs, only one word of caution that hike is not a cake walk there and back will have you pretty winded , but absolutely worth seeing. Thx for sharing
I just completed the Rainbow Falls hike yesterday. I also didn't make it to Turtleback, saving my energy for the climb out of the trail. I love Looking Glass and Dry Falls for their easy access. My favorite in NC is Cedar Rock Creek Falls behind the fishery near Looking Glass. High Falls and Triple Falls in Dupont SF are nice too. Out west my favorites are Nevada Falls and Yosemite Falls (both in Yosemite) and Multnomah Falls near Portland OR.
Thanks for watching, Karen! We've never been to Dry Falls but we are always on the lookout for a new waterfall to explore. NC State parks website says that the rainbow Falls Trail is 1.50 miles one way and lists it's difficulty as strenuous. Hope that info helps and have a wonderful day.

Thanks for sharing! My favorite so far is the Dry Falls near Highland. Easy access for the older crowd. How long is the trail to Rainbow Falls?
