The locals call drift falls “bust your ass falls”. Before it was made private we used to slide down it. Just like turtle back, you can slide down it. Swim behind the falls. The rope going up the side of the falls is how you get back up to the top. Also you can up that big rock and jump off of it. We spent many days and camping trips to this area while we lived in Brevard.

Nice video guys, I have been there a couple of times. Careful with your drone, the state parks will fine you or take it if they see you launching or landing inside the park.
More importantly, just be careful in general. At the 7:09 mark that is extremely dangerous. I hike in Gorges all the time, all up and down the Horsepasture, from the steel bridge near the Lake all the way up. It is my favorite place in the world. But I wouldn't go out on that ledge you guys were on for anything. Lots of people have died form that ledge. I love your videos, I watch them all, but please be a bit more careful.
I was in the Brevard NC area last summer and we saw 5 waterfalls in one day.

That's why we do this! I recommend getting to Rainbow falls mid-day (unlike us), to see the rainbow reflection in the sun.

We did last year looking glass and Moore cove falls too❤but it wasn’t as cold last year.
