Hi Karrie, when you go in IKEA, each room display they have set up, somewhere in that display they have a chart listing everything in that display and the code number to write down in case you want to purchase it. I love their glass section and the outdoor decor section as well. Plus, the Swedish meatballs are great.. they even sell them in a big bag frozen. Anyway, just an FYI.. IKEA textiles are the best ever. Long lasting bed linen, towels, curtains etc. I just love it and can't leave there without something, especially the glassware, vases or lamps. So much inspiration, I'm glad you finally got to experience it yourself.

Watching you navigate IKEA for the first time was so entertaining, LOL! It’s an experience, isn’t it! You don’t really take the buggy through the show room that’s more when you get to the marketplace. And I noticed you didn’t go to the cafeteria. They have the best meatballs, lol! It is much better when you go alone. I go there and just aimlessly wander around for hours. One thing you can always guarantee is that I will come home with some pillow covers. It’s a bit of an obsession. I invested in inserts which are made of down and are very affordable. I’m glad you finally went and saw what the hype is all about❤😂

That’s how all our shopping trolleys are in the UK I suppose it’s what you are used to but when I lived in the states I hated the US shopping carts found them hard to manoeuvre.
Oh my goodness I literally just walked in the door from going to IKEA! I finally got to go while visiting my son and daughter-in-law. Love Ikea, too. It is overwhelming. You get a walk for sure. One thing i love is their kitchen towels, that are .79 super cheap. They are white with a red stripe. Always pick up some of those whenever i go which isn't much , 2 1/2hrs. From me. Happy New Year. Anxious for the shelves by fire place.
Girl, I’m so glad you finally made your way there I’ve been to their stores all across the country. My husband says your herded like cattle with the arrows on the floor, lol. But it helps flow through their displays. You learn shortcuts when you get more familiar 😊 they have amazing options for the most affordable! The thing to consider about Billy bookcases is that they are almost always taller then other standard bookcases so you get more height and you can customize and buy premade doors to close in the bottom to get a more finished built in look. That’s IKEA for ya, crazy options! It can make your 🤯

I love IKEA to! We really don’t have 1 close to us. I have been to the 1 in Memphis. It is pretty big. Shopping in a store like that, especially being your first time was very overwhelming. We've purchased the Billy bookcases. Two were in my son's bedroom, and we still use them (35 years) and are in good shape. My husband has the tall ones in his office and they look custom made. I don't remember the cost but it was worth the cost. Beautiful looking and great quality.
I wonder if they are still made the same way? I have noticed that stuff I bought when I was younger is built better than what they are today. Just curious
I like IKEA too but I’m in Homosassa and the drive is long, that IKEA is close to downtown Tampa and Ybor 😉 which stinks that they don’t do more of them closer to other cities 😆 I’m glad you enjoyed it and shared with us 😊

Oh how I miss IKEA! I lived just about 15 miles from the IKEA in Tampa & went there quite often. Once you go on a regular basis you learn how to take shortcuts to get out sooner, and you learn where everything is. I don’t like the Billy bookcases either. I had 2 Hemnes bookcases and loved them. I had them on each side of my fireplace. The quality is amazing. I gave them to my kids when I moved from Florida. Just try to go more often & you’ll enjoy it more. I love the kitchen section. So many amazing buys there too. Plus those dish towels you saw, they are awesome! Plus such a great value! Try them next time you’re in there. Thanks for sharing. My closest IKEA is now 2 hours away in Atlanta. Ughh that’s a terrible drive. See you again soon. 😊❤😊
Not sure if anyone has spoken of them but have a look at the entry next time cause here in Australia we have these mini cart things you attach the IKEA bag to and you can push that around over either of the larger trolleys! Much easier and simpler!
My daughter used to have the IKEA sofa you saw at the start of your shop, hers had red covers, she had the chair that rocked, shelves and the flat they rented had an ikea kitchen. The furniture lasts for years.

One suggestion about Ikea is that you can order what you'd like online and then pick it up in store. It really helps with that overwhelming feeling when you want something specific. We have two of those shoe organizers that look like a cupboard, and they are the best!

The closest IKEA to me is an hour away in Charlotte. I signed up for the friends and Family card and get 5% off everything in store and then I can order online for $6 shipping. Furniture isn’t included, Just all the decor and accessories which is basically all I buy from there. I do have a few furniture pieces but have had them a while. It’s such a fun place to go hang out at. So glad you got to go experience it❤

I have an IKEA close to me and I go there often as I love the storage containers and kitchen gadgets. . Oh and Aftershave is cologne for men (in Australia anyway). Love your kids, they are so sweet.
IKEA is great, but give me a good discount store any day. I can make it beautiful on a budget. I get so many compliments on my home. I know Karrie is a great teacher for that. Ross, Big Lots, TJ Max, I love them all. When I moved to California, we took a trip to Bed bath and Beyond. I found bargain basement curtains, two panels for $10.00 I got 4 sets and they’re still up and actually just beautiful. You really can do it all on a small budget. And if you have the money to buy something nice, do, it will mix with your less expensive finds I promise! And don’t forget to buy used. Karrie knows this as well.

I can’t wait to see your built in book case project! I had built in bookshelves custom made in my living room. It was extremely pricey- I guess it’s the price I pay for not being handy.😅
I have an IKEA close to me and I go there often as I love the storage containers and kitchen gadgets. . Oh and Aftershave is cologne for men (in Australia anyway). Love your kids, they are so sweet.

IKEA is great, but give me a good discount store any day. I can make it beautiful on a budget. I get so many compliments on my home. I know Karrie is a great teacher for that. Ross, Big Lots, TJ Max, I love them all. When I moved to California, we took a trip to Bed bath and Beyond. I found bargain basement curtains, two panels for $10.00 I got 4 sets and they’re still up and actually just beautiful. You really can do it all on a small budget. And if you have the money to buy something nice, do, it will mix with your less expensive finds I promise! And don’t forget to buy used. Karrie knows this as well.
