    Sanji didn't ask Zoro to strike him down if he couldn't control himself because he looks to him as a leader. He did it because he knows Zoro's the only one on the crew capable enough to do it. Luffy is strong enough also, but he won't do it.

      @@McDawit21 Nah its cause sanji didnt mean anything he said. Ussop pulled out a fake identity taking no accountability in what he said just to still be with the straw hats. If sanji didnt do what he did everyone in whole cake island dies including zeff. Sanji did it for everyone whilst ussop did it for himself thats why the 2 situations are no where near comparable. And anyone who may argue sanji didnt have faith in luffy, luffy still nearly lost to the 1stt commander and we know katkuri is no match for big mom so imagine big mom coming after them with no germa alliance no jinbe to help the strawhats and companions are all dead.

    I feel Luffy is that one friend, that ties everyone together. That when he is gone, the others kind of form they own little cliques but can't really come together in an entire group. Like he doesn't really lead in a way, just brings everyone together.

    • @tonydiamond7663

      They can come together without Luffy. They've done it before in Thriller Bark & Skypeia. Their bond is too strong. There is somewhat of a hierarchy as well, just look at who's in charge of the ship at times. I found out the usual order is Luffy->Zoro(gone with Luffy)->Sanji->then Nami. No one on the ship seems to have a problem with this as well.

    I think people always overlook Luffy’s quality that his strongest weapon is taking on someone else’s burden. Take for example, when he was getting beaten to a pulp by Katakuri, Nami, Chopper, and the rest saw him through Brûlée’s mirror getting punished, but he smiled at them so they wouldn’t have to worry about their captain. That’s a true leader, even if he’s an air head

      He has already made it clear nami annoy's him constantly especially when she orders him around or goes off money and treasure.
      Ontop of his annoyance with Sanji.
      And without Zoro a large portion of the straw hats power is gone.
      Zoro's constant annoyances with nami and Sanji is only balanced out with his loyalty to Luffy.

    Realistically they would just desband. Zoro is the only one similar enough to Luffy in terms of leadership, charisma, respect and strenght to have a shot at it (people pointing out Nami, Sanji or Jimbei are more rational and strategic are dumb, Luffy isn't the most clever guy in the crew and he's still a great captain since in One Piece that isn't the most important quality to be a leader). That being said we've seen that Zoro likes to act solo most of the time and if it wasn't for Luffy he would just do his own thing, and I don't think all the strawhats would follow him anyway. So yeah, they would desband

    • @angelaquino6755
      @angelaquino6755 Рік тому

      No they wouldn't, what have you people been reading? I really wonder. That's not the nature of the straw hats, starting with Nami, she wouldn't let anyone leave lmao she would force everyone to keep going because that's what Luffy would've wanted. They've been a crew for years now (people forget time skip) and they love each other,
      Chopper wouldn't wanna leave, he'd be crying begging everyone to stay. Usopp would be shitting his pants scared to be in the new world alone, so he'd beg them to stick together to protect him. (He would also be the first to offer himself up as the new captain)
      Franky would want to still make the sunny the best and most famous ship to have ever existed, he needs the crew for that.
      Robin would just observe everybody and smile as they're all being crazy about what's gonna happen next, probably also picks up Chopper and gives him some sweets because he's crying (she also has the highest chance of knowing the whole truth about the void century by staying)
      I could keep writing about them all but the comment would be too long. But that's who the straw hats are, and how they act, it's been 20 years and over 1000 episodes and you still don't know the crew? That's sad.
      Ps: of course this is all if Luffy died right now while they're all young and haven't achieved their dreams, if it's after they've all achieved their dreams, then yeah, they would disband, but now? Hell nah

      @@angelaquino6755 I get your point, but I view things differently. I agree that, with or without Luffy, they're still a family and they still care for each other. But Luffy is the reason each of them joined and leaved their home, Luffy is the glue that keeps them together and the leader that they're all following. Maybe some of them would stick around together, but the crew as a whole and as we know it would be finished (unless they decide to achieve Luffy's dream in his place, but I don't think they could do it without him)

    the two main themes in one piece are found family and inherited wills, saying they'll disband is just disregarding all the bonds and relationships between them that don't involve luffy, if anything they'll try to achieve his dream and inherit his will, while also pursuing their own, if someone had to step up as a figurehead it would be zoro, he was present at the recruitment of every straw hat.

I think they would have the best chance with split leadership between Sanji, Nami and Jimbei. I can still see zoro leaving and the rest of the crew would go on without him. Maybe even brook would leave momentarily to say hi to laboon. He just wanted to share some laughs with luffy anyways.

  • @AJPlay_AllDay
    @AJPlay_AllDay 2 місяці тому

    18:45 I think if Luffy was gone, Zoro would leave too. At the beginning it was just Luffy and Zoro. Luffy and his dream and vision was essentially the reason Zoro tagged along. He said “The Pirate King would need no other but the World’s Greatest Swordsman by his side .” Being a pirate was never Zoro’s ambition to begin with. But that quote also shows that out of everyone on that ship that he believes would help him reach his goal the most is Luffy, the future pirate king.
    While Zoro may have great feelings and respect for most of his fellow crew members, he clearly doesn’t think any of them are on his equal, and I think he would actually see it as a kindness to leave them behind. He knows his goal is a gruesome one and only ends in blood. I don’t think he would bring any of them along for that. I can see him stopping by each island the respective straw hats go to after the crew splits up and brings them sake and sharing a few laughs and stories and leaving almost as quickly as he arrived.

    22:30 so true 😂 sanji led the marines without asking for luffy orders in punkhazard. Zoro just didn’t wanna kill or fight tashigi because the main enemy was in front of them. But it is true Zoro wouldn’t accept sanji as captain. Everyone respects Jinbe like even allies of enemies would respect him he chooses his battles well and knows how to lead

    One thing about this question that I feel is being overlooked is that half of the crew didn't even want to be pirates but they did want to follow luffy. With this in mind,I doubt they would continue being pirates but each would still follow their own individual goals, that doesn't mean that they no longer respect each other/enjoy eachothers company, I feel like they would become more like the Roger pirates after Roger died. (Each one does their own respective thing, to reach their own goals and that still follows the guidelines or atmosphere luffy set for his crew). Also respectfully some of yall were too wrapped up on whether or not luffy is a good captain which doesn't really matter in terms of the question, technically as soon as each member joined the straw hat pirates they acknowledged luffy as their captain and no one else.

    Now that the whole crew knows Luffys dream, if he died, they would all likely stay together for as long as it took to accomplish his dream. Once they fulfill his dream, they’ll posthumously declare him the pirate king and gradually disband.

    huge factor is does Luffy die before or after they find Laugh tale?
    Before. they probably turn back & pick up some of their friends & allies & go forward to finish luffies dream of finding the one piece. (picking up the likes of Vivi, Boa, Yamato, Law, etc). then when they find the ONe piece they have the greatest party ever had. & they head back out to do what they wanna do. I think some SH members would stick together, even if all of them dont stick on the same boat or island. theyre still a found family, which is more than just friends... & maybe they eventually move off fully years later to start their own seperate families. like what rogers crew did
    If luffy dies after the find the one piece, i think most of the SH's dreams have been met & theyre good to go. maybe some will stick together like i mentioned before. but life exists beyond the boat. & we've seen that with rogers & white beards crews. who were extremely familial

    The straw hats would still love each other after luffy dies, but they'll no longer be a crew, just look at rocks', whitebeard's and Rogers' crew... But if i was hard pressed to find a leader I think, Jinbei is most suitable, he's level headed and is also respected by the whole crew

    8:25 he’s right I don’t see Zoro actually forming alliances to further complete any plan he makes or the crew makes without luffy. Jinbe can work with everyone and make alliances with other pirates or outsiders. Sanji can too. Zoro is more like action he’s not really gonna formulate plans with other people for the sake of the crew. Unless he swallows his pride but I just don’t see em allying with anyone out the crew fr or liberating people from outside the crew

    The only way the crew doesn't disband is if they all decide to continue the journey in honour of luffy. Given that scenario, I dont think there'd be an actual captain. They'd all just do their respective rolls and all decisions would go through everyone.

    Saying that the crew would split if luffy died, because nothing else is keeping them together is crazy. They only love/like each other because luffy is present is even crazier. A crew that can barely tolerate each other doesn't survive.

    I understand and agree with what law was saying, and i also agree with what larry was saying,this time for once all were making sense, but only thing i disagree with the take that strawhats would splitup if luffy passess away before completing his ambition. Yes, luffy brought them all together, but they grew into a family, they have developed relationships and bonds among eachother beyond their common standing of their belief and trust in luffy. To me it seems like that kuffy's ambition of becoming the king of the pirates is as important as their own individual ambition to all of them. Zoro even put luffy and luffy's ambition before his own. And i have no doubt that every other strawhat would do the same, even luffy would do the same. There is no way in hell they would abandon their bonds and relationship under any circumstances.
    Whitebeards were the opposite, all of them had gathered under the shadow of one one who they called as pops. When whitebeard died ,even though he wanted his sons to go on with the journey without him, even though it was one of his final wishes, marco, jozzu ,vista and all others just couldn't continue without whitebeard. But the case is different with the strawhats.

    I can see them sticking together because it is the best way to accomplish their dreams. But I would argue that none of them would accomplish their goal. I think the most important aspect of Luffy is his driving Force which pulls them. Yes Zoro is very ambitious but I think Luffy greatest ability is to inspire outher people to go on and improve

    3:50- 4:00 I disagree I think they would stay together because the memory of Luffy would still bond them. Nami would obviously set the agenda, Zoro would still continue his quest to beat Mihawk, Sanji still wants the all blue, all their dreams would still be in tact and attainable if Luffy died. Being any given Strawhat was never about following Luffy, but following each of their individual dreams as a team. Those dreams would keep them driving.

    Based on the show. The leadership order would be...
    2.Zoro- First mate is always next, but he lost all the time, so it automatically goes to #3.
    3. Sanji-In Zou, when Luffy& Zoro weren't present, he took the role of Captain.
    4.Nami- In Whole Cake, she took charge when none of the 3 were present.

    I can see zoro leading with Nami as co. Zoro has stepped up multiple times and Nami has always been the plan maker and level headed one to help keep the crew from killing themselves. Even if they wouldnt have formed without Luffy, They would carry out his will and be done after or die trying. I cant see Luffy dying unless its for his friends, and straw hats repay debuts so what better reason to keep carrying on than for the man who brought them all together and gave them love and made them a family.
    With the Sanji and Zoro beef, i think it would be squashed almost instantly the moment they hear luffy dies. they are more like brothers than frienemies. Luffy being around makes them feel safe and that no matter what, luffy will be here to save us. but with that security blanket gone, they wouldnt have room to be bickering. they would be on edge and worried about the crew. I could even see the arguement of Sanji voicing he wants zoro to be the new captain. Sanji works in the background, like with chopper and usopp, supporting his crew, but he wont shy away from speaking up about something serious.

    I feel like if we go the respect angle, they might all elect Jinbei as the new captain, but I don’t know what his goal would be as captain. Zoro would want to get stronger and look for ways for everyone to get stronger, but not much else I don’t think. Sanji would just want to travel looking for the all blue. Nami would want to continue her maps, so in terms of a long term goal that would suit everyone else, Nami is the best choice there.

    The Strawhats all care for each other, they all love each other. They would not stay together without Luffy. They all trust each other to do what needs to be done. But their goals are not to aid each other. Their goals are to fulfill their own dream, and Luffy's.
    None of them reference any of the others dreams. Other than Luffy's. They all say that he's going to become the Pirate King. That's what they care about.

  • @RedEyeItachi
    @RedEyeItachi Рік тому +1

    If Luffy dies there is no straw hats imo. Jimbei would leave the crew and go back to fishman island. Zoro would leave the crew and pursue his goal by himself because his goal doesn’t require a crew he just chooses to follow Luffy specifically. Robin imo would join the Revolutionary army. I think the rest of the crew with Nami, Sanji, Franky, Chopper, ussopp, and Brooke would all stay together on the ship with Nami probably being the leader but it wouldn’t be the straw hats without Zoro or Luffy.
