I so agree with you about parents. I was lucky enough to have both my parents into my sixties. Lost them both in a seven month span. But they were both 93 and it is hard to feel sorry for yourself when you were so blessed and lucky. Loved them both.

Those books look well old! That watch battery's amazing! I like the deceased photos too even though they're sad. They're interesting. Those Bang on the Door things were 'Gawjuss'. So many kids stuff there! I love that Chatterbox book and the memory album is just fantastic. Those bumps upstairs were definitely weird if there's nobody there, but there's lots of happy memories there so I wouldn't be surprised if there's spirits still there. Maybe the spirit of the dog was jumping off those steps down into the bedroom.
That foam brick is designed for high frustration levels and is usually aimed at the TV from time to time. Good to have a few to hand, unless you've a retrieval animal

Beatrix Potter and Peter Rabbit were my favorite! I still have a very old book of hers, that I cherish. From the early 1900s. She was first published in 1901. So perhaps it is one of the first! I have shared it with my children and hope they carry in the tradition. Thanks dear. This was truly a walk thru happy times. The cross stitch with kids names is called a sampler.Children made them when they were practising sewing x
What's neat is that there wasn't any television so some story books had advertisements in them. Anyway love your shows love watching you and bare.
