It's just always good to be prepared. My son passed away a little over a month ago. He didn't have a lot but I wish he would have found the time to make a will. What I really wish is that he was still here! He was only 42. The one thing that gives me some solace is I know he is with my father whom he adored. But thank you for always giving me a giggle. I really need that right now. 🥰
I don't understand why someone would tell you that it's animal abuse....Bear is clearly enjoying himself on your outing together! It's also evident that he enjoys being with you!! 🥰❤🐶❤
Worry dolls. When you go to bed, tell your doll your worries and put it under your pillow. During the night the worry dolls to go wherever they go to, take your worries and leave them there. They come back so you can do it over again xxxxx
Oooooo... that was a goody Matt :) First the Saint John Fisher was around at the time of Henry Viii. Fisher was Catholic so I bet you can guess what's coming ... he was tried for treason(1535) as he wouldn't accept the change from Catholicism to Henry being the head of his own church. He was found guilty and executed on Tower Hill . He was canonized in 1935. Now the chap whose house you were in, he died in 2023 and his wife in 2020.His dad had the following name.... Basil Owen Francis De Coursson Fisher and had been an army officer most if not all of his working life . His wife was Mary Angela (of the Degree cert). Back a step further, Basil's parents were Owen Hunt Fisher (a military man) and his mother Marie Mathilde Nathalie Emelie Josephine de Coursson de Pecany born in Paris... her father was Viscomte de Coursson de Pecany.... I will continue later if I find anything good ;)
UPDATE.. One of Mr Fisher's ancestors (through marriage) lived in Spain Hall in Finchingfield ,Essex- Jamie Oliver bought it in 2019. Marie etc etc de Cousson's father owned Chateau de Pecany which is a vineyard and winery as well as a mahoosive house. In fact members of the family going right back from John lived in very large houses ;)
Another enjoyable video, thank you Matt. St. John Fisher was a Yorkshireman and Cardinal who was executed by Henry VIII for not recognising him as the Supreme Head of the CofE. Walsingham is in Norfolk and there is a shrine dedicated to the V.Mary. It's quite famous. I do find many of these abandoned houses quite sad and I appreciate you thinking about the people who once lived there. At least someone remembers them, i.e. you and your viewers. Looking forward to your Singapore adventure. God Bless and travel safely. 🙏🏼🙏🏼❤❤
Yours is the only channel where I’ll watch the sponsored part because I really enjoy watching you go through the process of preparing the meal! Your (unwarranted) self-doubt at the beginning, then success and a delicious meal at the end! 🍲
OMG, I've just got to the little plaster doggie, I've got one of those! It was my grandmothers and was given to her by someone she cleaned for because she admired it so much. I loved it so much when I was little.
Oh this is so nice you guys cooking up a meal for them. This is a great idea for busy people but especially for people who cannot get out all the time (in the Winter & whenever the weather is lousy) to have the ability to cook up a tasty meal & fresh!
Loved seeing Fredz and your dad in the Hello Fresh ad! I absolutely adore the unique chess set! FYI: Walsingham is a civil parish in North Norfolk, England, famous for its religious shrines in honour of Mary, mother of Jesus. It also contains the ruins of two medieval monastic houses. Walsingham is 27 miles (43 km) northwest of Norwich. The leather jacket was unique. The heavy jacket would have been good for the cold weather. Some great pieces of furniture in there. Perhaps the photos of the pictures were used for reference purposes in order to copy them.
For goodness sake Matt don’t be selfish and make your will! Those left behind will be left a merry old dance if you don’t! It just makes it all better for them in the long run! Sorry ex military we had to do it.
I have two Yorkshire terriers and they did the same thing too. There’s nothing wrong with them. It’s just part of their trait embarrass so adorable. He’s so fluffy.❤
Under the chessboard, the thing with the picture of the bench that says "Glyndebourne", Glyndebourne is a country house near Lewes that has an opera house and an annual opera festival.
Walsingham is in North Norfolk and is a place of pilgrimage, the little statuette is Our Lady of Walsingham if I remember right. The Catholics and Church of England are represented and there’s a Russian Orthodox Church too.
great vidio like always loved hearing about wills it put my cancer in to prospect ir and i olso loved what you done for your mum and dad keep up the good work xx
Matt i made a will in my 40s now I'm retired and 66 . A will just safe make sure your children are looked after hence the will and house in trust. Lol I'm planning on watching you when i turn 67
Goebel is the maker of the porcelain statues and Hummel is the designer. Hümmel was a nun and Goebel had a porcelain factory and liked her drawings and made a deal. Hümmel died of tuberculosis at the age of 37, but the other nuns in the monastery still got too approve every statue Goebel made. The statues are called Hummelchilderen.
That was great Matt ! ...fascinating place ! . Loads of great items in the house . That carpet though ...looked like someone had passed away on it 😥 . Interesting documents too ! . Xxxx
This explore was amazing, I love all the religious stuff and the handwritten letter from John Fisher, I can't wait to see the Singapore, Cambodia, and China videos I just know they're going to be epic
I'm still watching but I had to check up on the little girl painting, incase no-one else has said it's a Vintage Lithograph Art Print A Girl With A Kitten by Jean-Baptiste Perronneau
The Wills were interesting. They were both re-done in the same day. It makes me think maybe there was a falling out in the family or the original inheritor died. 🤔
loved this one ! i got my girls those little worry dolls ..just as a stocking filler . and i agree..i always want to know why people leave things behind
So this is an abandoned property of some elderly person who eventually had to be brought in to the hospital and clearly never came back....hopefully, he had friends and some kind of family who cared but if the house has been left to fall apart, most likely there are no children who care enough to come in sell the contents, clean up the rest and then put the house up for sale. It is sad, this is the one thing we all have in common, ageing and death.
Peter Keith Lickfold born 1912, son of James Malcolm Lickfold and Margaret Marshall Stuart. Left £119 470 in his will in 1991! He married Ingeborg Ketelsen and had a daughter, Ursula, it looks like she died last year. He was in the RAF special duties and admin branch in WW2 in London.
My daughter gets hello fresh and has made some lovely dinners. Loved your farmhouse explore, i think that they are my favourite. People with arthritis wear bronze bracelets it's meant to help. Lickfold not lickford .😊 xx
Whatever teddy that is it's definitely very old, they don't get in that state unless they've been passed down a few or more generations I don't believe he was from this country but then he ended up living in this country I wonder why? I hope the person wasn't lonely because I don't think that is right situation for anyone❤❤❤❤
15:20 one of those copper bands with magnets on ends that was supposedly to improve circulation and health. Honestly I had several bracelet styles, personally never felt anything, but would often get copper marks on wrist.
Matt, you already showed us that he's a smoker because in his bedroom on the chair next to his bed there were cigarettes 🚬 on it. Also you'd never get that discolouration without cigarettes 🚬. Even his drapes are the same colour as the ceiling!! He was obviously a heavy smoker! 🥰❤❤🐶❤
That house felt really short on head space. I'm 5' 2" and this first time feeling like there was going to be heads cracked. May have been lighting or was it really that small? You could have easy inhaled eye level cob webs.🧡

Walsingham is in North Norfolk and is a place of pilgrimage, the little statuette is Our Lady of Walsingham if I remember right. The Catholics and Church of England are represented and there’s a Russian Orthodox Church too.
The surname of that man/family was Fisher. The drawing of Sir John Fisher could have been ancestor, as the man was also called John Fisher.
You must go IOW there a museum that’s haunted by Charles 1, also shrunken heads, it’s brilliant. It was built back in 1500

Your Dad's voice reminds me of Wallace from Wallace and Gromit... 😁 I don't know whether that's a compliment or not, but I just had to mention it. 🤣
