Ahh the wonderful world of hand surgeons. I had an angiolipoma on my right middle finger and a mucous cyst. The hand surgeon went in, I was only under local, removed the lipoma, fused the leaky joint, shaved down some bone spurs then closed it up with a skin graft from my inner wrist. 25 stitches in total. It makes me so sad to see so many people in the USA delaying important medical care because they can't afford it. I wonder how many people every year die because they can't afford to get the treatment they need but can't afford. Maybe if all those celebrities who pay tens of thousands of dollars for needless cosmetic surgery donated it to people who actually NEED treatment things would be a lot better for everyone.
Are you from the US? They will do a procedure regardless if it's life risking. They consider the cosmetic so you have to pay yourself. Technically he could live a healthy life with that on his finger. It's just in the way and I'm sure embarrassing to him but it won't kill him.
Indeed. USA needs to improve on universal access to medical care for those who cannot afford the cost of private visits. It needs balance. Those who can afford to pay shall keep paying some,so that people like in this video could get the treatment in cases like this one as well. But it's important to strike the balance right. Level of financial contribution to the support of the system shall be relevant to what each person can afford. And poverty cannot exclude completely from access to treatment if it's absolutely necessary. If a hand surgeon says "wow, I have never seen anything like this!" in my book it stands for " here access to medical treatment even if free is absolutely necessary."
@@femmeNikita27 yall must not be from the same USA as me because when I was broke asl with my 4 kids all of us had insuranxe a few days after filling out the app online and it covered everything. No copays, no out of pickets costs at all. Unless it was something unnecessary like cosmetic surgery they paid for everything. Tbey even paid for my glasses. All dental. All prescriptions were free. They took me to and from Dr appts ans they also paid for a hotel room for me when I had no where to stay and they paid until I could afford to get my own place. I was getting 1200$ in food stamps so we definitely weren't hungry. I also got a 600$ deposit every 1st of the month for other things I may have needed for me and my kids. You're speaking on a country you've probably never even been to let alone lived in long enough to know how those things work.
@@femmeNikita27 if he wasn't getting help he obviously made too much and could have afforded to gey it done but chose to spend on other luxuries instead. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices and some ppl.make plenty of money but don't know how to manage it. Driving around in New cars and nice houses with expensive ass clothes and shoes on but can't afford to go to the doctor. That's their fault. If I can afford insurance for myself myself and 4 kids on one income then I'm sure he could afford it if he managed his money correctly.

She’s doing her job referring to a specialist,a lot of dr.s do it but not are stunningly gorgeous, popular, on a tv show, and has the brains and personality!❤
@@itzjess88 They don't know if it might be cancer. THAT could be life threatening.

Congrats Gerald! Your family is so cute! Your little boy is beyond adorable! ❤ So happy for all of you!
Also, so great that Dr. Lee doesn't stop with not being able to do it herself. She's going to get it done, whatever that involves. I've been looking for a doctor like that in the field of endocrinology.
I love Dr. Lee, and I can’t believe I passed by her practice like a thousand times before! I lived less than a mile from her office in Upland, CA for 23 years! 😂
Dr Lee, you are a blessing to humanity. Thank you for your service.
So generous to ensure this man had his life back again.
