Cool idea Shane. It kinda reminds me of the bass I made from a pizza paddle a few years ago. I like the way you did this one a 2-string baritone chugger. Very clever. The oar's handle seems perfect for a 2-string neck. I loved the PUSA and Morphine references BTW.

An "Oar" is not what you've made into your amazing guitar. It was a "paddle". A paddle is used with one hand holding the top and pushing while the other hand pulls from lower down. An oar is used with oarlocks on the boat that hold it in place while someone pulls on it's handle further up. Very nice Paddle Guitar, sir. :)
What can you do with it? You could do a heavy metal version of The Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald! LOL

So did you still use hot glue for the 2nd gittybucker pickup as well or something else to hold the pickup in?
Ended up using Gitty's new wooden mounting brackets for the Gittybucker
I just received my boat oar and I'm planning a 2-string standup Bass. Thinking of Weedwacker strings and a piezo pickup.
