Truly sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved, Baby-Girl... I know how much it deeply hurts. My female Tortti, Baby; aka, Momma-Girl and Baby-Girl, passed at 19yo due to an emergency vet injected her with Covenia without my knowledge and approval. I'm devastated by that vet's actions as I made it clear that any meds to be given to Baby would need my approval... as a RN, I want to know what med is needed; or if, it is actually beneficial to a medical diagnosis. I was with my Momma-Girl when she passed in my arms... she had a few more years on her if not for that negligent emergency vet's actions. I miss my beloved Baby-Girl terribly. I researched Covenia after seeing it listed on Baby's receipt of charges and was horrified by the testimonals and info on it. I then requested that a note on all of my pet's medical charts be written in large red print, "NO COVENIA". I commend you for adopting, nuturing and providing a loving and safe home for your beloved cats... you belovingly call "family"; I also belovingly refer to my cats as "my kiddies"... I subscribed when I found your video today. Thank you for sharing your wealth of wisdom...and again, truly sorry for your loss of your beloved Baby-Girl. Remember that... Check into Tiers! They changed the Tier in which my zip code was in and the rent was raised, unless you move further out. Leasing agents are no help and straight out denying tenants access to owners that may help if they know the difference between Section 8 and public housing. Ty for what you do. - J
I am hearing impaired and suffer from PTSD. This reasonable accomodations request is very true, I was being kicked out of an housing program after I confided to my caseworker that I was suffering from depression. I did research on Google about my rights and discovered the disability rights and how we can require reasonable accomodations be made to maintain housing. I put in a complaint with the human relations commission for discrimination against my disability and I submitted a request for resonable accomodations. In the end I did not get kicked out and won my claims against the housing agency.
I don't know where You live, but here where I live, the King County Housing Authority told me flat Out that I can Submit the paper work, but that they weren't going to Grant it, and They Did NOT.
I am disabled homeless. It sucks. I have a car. Totally disabled. Lack of housing. I litterly pray to god every night to take me out of this night mare. Saddest part. I have 3 kids in there 40's that due to the system i get sssurvivors. We are so estranged i need attendant care. People want money to help you. Ummm if i had money i would not be in this horrible situation. You may have kids but they don't have you. Very stressed, holding faith with god. Miracle's can happen. I will not go into assisted living. I saw first hand it was pure filthy and they take all you own. No way. Rather live in my car ore make camp grounds for us. Vouchers are so hard to get. Keep the immagrants in hotels in new york that have trashed it and throw out the food in the hallways because it is not there food frim there country. Your not in your country. Born here you suffer, open border welcome mat. Pray for our souls. We are disposable .

Its nit all that great. Its a place though. I get tired of all the drama. And people not picky nosey people.. Because I have someone her at night rhey say she lives her. I dont want people on my lease that are aids

There is no time limit on grief Jay so take the time you need. It'll come in waves some times little ones that break on the shore and others are like a tsunami. So sorry for your family's loss.

I'm glad you brought this reasonable accommodations up been on housing for 30 years moved up from Marin County that I lived in for 55 years moved into a building that is a holy damn nightmare I've asked these people for reasonable accommodations to move me to a safer complex because this place is really making me physically and mentally sick due to my post-traumatic stress I have been attacked I'm a Target here no matter what I say don't matter what I do I can't get any assistance I have given them paperwork for my doctor they want to ignore it they do not want to transfer me to another apartment building that they own try to get attorneys Section 8 and a complex to help me but they are ignoring what the doctors have asked now I am extremely sick cannot deal with this anymore what do I do
I was medically removed from my unit due to mold but Section 8 won’t fail the unit. I’m on SSI and can’t afford to stay anywhere else. HCV Housing Quality Standards at 24 CFR § 5.703(e)(1) states the “unit must be free of health and safety hazards that pose a danger to residents. Types of health and safety concerns include, . . . mold . . . .” This section does not specify that the old has to be black mold before it is considered a health and safety hazard. Best advice?

im sorry for the lost of your Cat , I know how unconditionally they love there caretakers, I have a cat Luna thats about 12 yrs old that is always sitting next to me as I have to stay off my feet most of the day due to circulation issues dealing with blood clots. That a way to recline people with housing voucher when the leasing agent and or property manager and owner's tell you that you need to make 3x, what your rent would be. I have that happen to me. When at the time I was clearly aware that your voucher counts as income which helps you qualify for said renters.
Hello, I'm Joan Penarubia from Aurora Colorado, and I have been under Social Security Diability since 2019. Due to Invasive Lobular Carsinoma Stage 3 (Breast Cancer) . I am now experiencing spine issues and chronic heart failure . I have been renting my apartment since 2019 and have been struggling with my rent . I have had 2 eviction notices and am struggling every month to make my rent. I have applied for section 8 and low income housing since 2019.

Re: emotional support animal Deposits is my biggest question. I understand about damage and things. I moved into my apartment that has obvious damage from a pet that was only painted over. I noted this damage on move in. Isn't that the reason deposits are charged? I am 63 year old disabled female that has never been alone in my life. The other morning at 1:30 am I was woke up by knocking on my door. I did not answer yet I felt if I had a pet I would have had comfort as well as an alarm system. Not need an attack dog. When you're alone you start to question whether the things you hear are real or not, to look at your pet and see they heard something also is validation and helps with peace of mind. Wouldn't you agree?

I relinquished my section 8 , Fair housing housing my A** i had black mold and no heat and housing paseed it for 5 years, its so demeaning being disadvantaged I hate this everyday, I had to move somewhere i didn't want to be and get rid of my cat because landlords are disgusting in the area i was in , all the free bed bugs and cockroaches that can fit in one place.

Getting treated unfairly as many other are with the housing authority. I requested a basic accommodation and now they are trying to force me to move to a different unit instead of doing the accommodation. I'm disabled and I have no help it was out of the blue. I feel it's retaliation. They are putting me in a horrible situation. I'm worried I'm going to be homeless due to this.
I live in revere mass but my section 8 comes from cambridge they have not raised the payment standard in the beginning of the pandemic all they did was change the date from 2019 to 2021 there are no apartments that fit my needs with those payment standard amounts

I am permanently disabled on ssi in MO and just rented a HUD apartment 2 days ago that I went in and started looking closer and it is Laden with roaches...mostly dead cause they just sprayed the same day...but EVERYWHERE they have been living for God Only knows how long is STILL THERE!...all the poop, carcasses, debris, You know, all the corners where they've been coming in and out is filthy sooo disgusting😫 I am a clean freak...and have NEVER EVER EVER through My 60 years of life NEVER lived with roaches... I had major braintumor size of large peach surgery leaving Me with nonstop headphones from hell...plus I died for an hour and a half in 2013 and a little after they jabbed a defribulator in my chest that has caused bloodclots throughout my body......on top of SEVERE asthma breathing difficulties...so breathing that nasty disgustingnessis something I CANNOT do!!! I took photos of all the nasty cabinets and a couple videos of a few crawling ones here and there...but there are other issues...but seriously, it's the cockroaches that I have spent the last 2 days at My daughter's balling My head off about...cause that ENTIRE PLACE has to be cleaned with a cleanser disinfectant in EVERY SINGLE BIT of the entirety of the whole apartment because it is quite obvious they have been living in there everywhere...and they cause carry diseases...among other things... My name FINALLY came up after waiting 6 months to have a place to live, cause I've been living in an RV that the floor started falling out by sink and black mold all over the place I've been removing with bleach...but it's still everywhere..even in ductwork I can't get to..and making Me deathly ill...Anyway, I just am beside Myself over all this...cause I FINALLY thought I git to have a home.. and started to bring in a couple things and started looking inside the cabinets..and I about lost My mind over how detrimental it made Me and My situation...cause There is NO WAY that I would bring My things in there, My service dog that notifies Me if I'm gonna have a seizure.. and interestingly enough, He ALWAYS KNOWS before My defribulator is gonna go off, too ...and HE let's Me know!!!😍it's sooo amazing! He is PRICELESS Buddy that takes care of Me...but I wouldn't dare bring Him in that nastiness...or My Grandsons that BOTH have asthma and one has a epi pen cause of His allergic reactions that are Sooo dangerous!!! But I don't know what to do now that I signed all the paperwork...When He showed Me the apartment, it was dark in there and the lighting is real faint...so You can't see details at all...until getting Ones face right up to it or use a flashlight... I am in a rental that A housing navigator helped me find while on emergency voucher for housing . I am now transitioning to section 8 and the section 8 amount is 100 dollars less than my rent . I am disabled and use a CPAP and on SSI and disability and cannot move again . The place I'm in is a single level mobile home it's close to laundry room and trash bin so I don't have to walk far my Drs are mins away and I get my prescriptions are filled less than a block away . Also I can afford the utilities and was lucky to get into where I'm at due to credit issues . But my worker is telling me the rent is too high not fair market value . My first housing specialist told me we wouldn't have to move once we transitioned a year later after getting all settled in and comfortable they say I have to move which is will not find a place that checks all the boxes and I can afford with parking close enough for me to carry groceries from car to door . I've had multiple strokes heart attacks colon cancer COPD and this doesn't allow me to get a higher allowance to remain in my home ??

I am a 67 yr, old man. My landlord raised rent alot . most likely in retribution. My housing authority refused to pay that amount. So landlord has given me notice to vacate. I cannot find another rental using the sect.8. I am in jeopardy of being homeless at this point. This is not a comforting thought . HA authority manager keeps telling me to look at from his point. I say, because you have drawn a line in the sand with this landlord, I ultimately am the one to suffer his decision

Hi I just stumbled across your videos in the very informative. And I also a cat rescuer. I worked with some local agencies Town cats and nine lives and Himalayan rescues but mainly with Town cats. I would get calls from the shelter asking if I would be able to bottle feed Three bottle babies that were surrendered I said yes and I end up with like nine because they will euthanize them if the local groups haven't responded I've become a last resort. This was a couple years ago and I'm getting back into it again. I've seen a lot I've done a lot I might have some helpful tips and not sure if anything. But I've subscribed love your channel

So, I don’t understand why you would have any problem affording it, but, keep that in mind, if they don’t ask why and, please go to the Human Resources Services/ Community Services in your area, let someone know and, have a copy of paperwork to show them proof, I am sure they can help you get things resolved! It definitely sounds like management was being basis and, it sounds like something is going on with Housing Authority over the building! Ask questions where, why, what and, how, next time take a relative or a case manager.
can an apartment complex thats a tax right off property that takes section 8 vouchers only raise rent on people with voucher rather then raise rent on everyone if so how much in washington state.
Jay my name is David and i have had a neck fusion Dec 2016. I never got better and now my left hip goes out at times and i cant walk for days and my muscles spasm all the time. Im on pain medicine and medical cannabis and i see a new doctor Monday that offers many other treatments so i have my fingers crossed. Currently i am renting a room but that house will be sold in the coming months so i was told to start looking. I have applied for an apartment and section 8 in Oklahoma city. My friend has offered to move in with me because i do not need to be showering alone and she is always the one who takes me where i need to go. Like the store and doctors appointments. I have been on social security disability since 2018. Would that be a reasonable accommodation to ask for a 2nd bedroom so she can have somewhere to stay since i need someone there for my medical needs? Thank you for helping folks that cant help themselves.
I am on disability with two 80 year old parents in there home in Houston, Texas. I was involved in a car accident that broke my back. I can walk but everything is hard as hell. To think I worked overseas in the petrochemical industry making over $100,000+ per year. I lost my wife, child, house, and money. All I have left is my furniture in storage. It’s in Las Vegas, NV. I have no idea how to get back into a house on disability with crazy housing prices and no down payment. I receive $1900 per month and all that goes to storage, upkeep of my parents, and expenses. Where do I start to get back into a house in Las Vegas (or close to town) because my son is still there. Thanks!

I have a section 8 voucher in a complex that doesn’t transfer anywhere except possibly another project complex. I want to use a voucher to go to another complex. When I came to this complex with section 8 I was not given information of the issue of moving to another complex that is not project. I wouldn’t have come here then. No one can help us me now at the county and I feel trapped!

I'm in Wilmington, NC. The wait list is always closed. The site says it's closed due to the long list already on it. It says they don't know when it will reopen. Secondly, everything here is crap, bad areas, really bad areas, only apartments and often terrible because most are for many reasons. So, what can I do to find help for rent? I'm disabled and renting a house. I can't live in apartments. I can't afford to move. I can't live with other people due to several reasons. I don't know what to do. In NC, month to month has so rules on amount it can increase. They are increasing it $300. I don't know where else to look for help. I want to work from home and have plans to do that. I'm just not ready. It should be wrong for a Housing Authority wait list to stay closed, not accepting any applicants and only having bad locations, only apartments and very few single family houses. Those are also not in good areas. It's terrible. I do want to move. I can't afford to now.

Why do we need a broker to get something that is our right as disabled? Why is this happening? I've worked my entire life. Got a voucher in Fla but there was NO AVAILABLE HOUSING FOR A SINGLE PERSON!! Even got them to switch me to another county because I'm willing to move even! NO AVAIL HOUSING AGAIN!! Ten years now I'm homeless. No help. No nothing. This is beyond torture to do this to human beings. In sorry. I'm frustrated. It's an abomination what is happening to people in this country. Dogs are treated better in every way. 😢

Check into Tiers! They changed the Tier in which my zip code was in and the rent was raised, unless you move further out. Leasing agents are no help and straight out denying tenants access to owners that may help if they know the difference between Section 8 and public housing. Ty for what you do. - J
I am hearing impaired and suffer from PTSD. This reasonable accomodations request is very true, I was being kicked out of an housing program after I confided to my caseworker that I was suffering from depression. I did research on Google about my rights and discovered the disability rights and how we can require reasonable accomodations be made to maintain housing. I put in a complaint with the human relations commission for discrimination against my disability and I submitted a request for resonable accomodations. In the end I did not get kicked out and won my claims against the housing agency.

I am disabled homeless. It sucks. I have a car. Totally disabled. Lack of housing. I litterly pray to god every night to take me out of this night mare. Saddest part. I have 3 kids in there 40's that due to the system i get sssurvivors. We are so estranged i need attendant care. People want money to help you. Ummm if i had money i would not be in this horrible situation. You may have kids but they don't have you. Very stressed, holding faith with god. Miracle's can happen. I will not go into assisted living. I saw first hand it was pure filthy and they take all you own. No way. Rather live in my car ore make camp grounds for us. Vouchers are so hard to get. Keep the immagrants in hotels in new york that have trashed it and throw out the food in the hallways because it is not there food frim there country. Your not in your country. Born here you suffer, open border welcome mat. Pray for our souls. We are disposable .

I am trying to get into a house and it doesn’t matter if it’s with people like me or not. I’m grateful for any assistance that anyone could provide or resources that would help. I'm glad you brought this reasonable accommodations up been on housing for 30 years moved up from Marin County that I lived in for 55 years moved into a building that is a holy damn nightmare I've asked these people for reasonable accommodations to move me to a safer complex because this place is really making me physically and mentally sick due to my post-traumatic stress I have been attacked I'm a Target here no matter what I say don't matter what I do I can't get any assistance I have given them paperwork for my doctor they want to ignore it they do not want to transfer me to another apartment building that they own try to get attorneys Section 8 and a complex to help me but they are ignoring what the doctors have asked now I am extremely sick cannot deal with this anymore what do I do

I was medically removed from my unit due to mold but Section 8 won’t fail the unit. I’m on SSI and can’t afford to stay anywhere else. HCV Housing Quality Standards at 24 CFR § 5.703(e)(1) states the “unit must be free of health and safety hazards that pose a danger to residents. Types of health and safety concerns include, . . . mold . . . .” This section does not specify that the old has to be black mold before it is considered a health and safety hazard. Best advice?

im sorry for the lost of your Cat , I know how unconditionally they love there caretakers, I have a cat Luna thats about 12 yrs old that is always sitting next to me as I have to stay off my feet most of the day due to circulation issues dealing with blood clots. That a way to recline people with housing voucher when the leasing agent and or property manager and owner's tell you that you need to make 3x, what your rent would be. I have that happen to me. When at the time I was clearly aware that your voucher counts as income which helps you qualify for said renters.

Hello, I'm Joan Penarubia from Aurora Colorado, and I have been under Social Security Diability since 2019. Due to Invasive Lobular Carsinoma Stage 3 (Breast Cancer) . I am now experiencing spine issues and chronic heart failure . I have been renting my apartment since 2019 and have been struggling with my rent . I have had 2 eviction notices and am struggling every month to make my rent. I have applied for section 8 and low income housing since 2019.

Deposits is my biggest question. I understand about damage and things. I moved into my apartment that has obvious damage from a pet that was only painted over. I noted this damage on move in. Isn't that the reason deposits are charged? I am 63 year old disabled female that has never been alone in my life. The other morning at 1:30 am I was woke up by knocking on my door. I did not answer yet I felt if I had a pet I would have had comfort as well as an alarm system. Not need an attack dog. When you're alone you start to question whether the things you hear are real or not, to look at your pet and see they heard something also is validation and helps with peace of mind. Wouldn't you agree?

I relinquished my section 8 , Fair housing housing my A** i had black mold and no heat and housing paseed it for 5 years, its so demeaning being disadvantaged I hate this everyday, I had to move somewhere i didn't want to be and get rid of my cat because landlords are disgusting in the area i was in , all the free bed bugs and cockroaches that can fit in one place.

Getting treated unfairly as many other are with the housing authority. I requested a basic accommodation and now they are trying to force me to move to a different unit instead of doing the accommodation. I'm disabled and I have no help it was out of the blue. I feel it's retaliation. They are putting me in a horrible situation. I'm worried I'm going to be homeless due to this.
I live in revere mass but my section 8 comes from cambridge they have not raised the payment standard in the beginning of the pandemic all they did was change the date from 2019 to 2021 there are no apartments that fit my needs with those payment standard amounts
I also suffer from chronic fybromyalga and upper and lower back pain from getting hit while on a ten speed bike by a car who tried to leave lucky a cop caught her from hit and run unfortunately i got nothing in lawsuitss and still in pain 🙃 with pt and not much positive and productive life! ✨

I had major braintumor size of large peach surgery leaving Me with nonstop headphones from hell...plus I died for an hour and a half in 2013 and a little after they jabbed a defribulator in my chest that has caused bloodclots throughout my body......on top of SEVERE asthma breathing difficulties...so breathing that nasty disgustingnessis something I CANNOT do!!!
I took photos of all the nasty cabinets and a couple videos of a few crawling ones here and there...but there are other issues...but seriously, it's the cockroaches that I have spent the last 2 days at My daughter's balling My head off about...cause that ENTIRE PLACE has to be cleaned with a cleanser disinfectant in EVERY SINGLE BIT of the entirety of the whole apartment because it is quite obvious they have been living in there everywhere...and they cause carry diseases...among other things...
My name FINALLY came up after waiting 6 months to have a place to live, cause I've been living in an RV that the floor started falling out by sink and black mold all over the place I've been removing with bleach...but it's still everywhere..even in ductwork I can't get to..and making Me deathly ill...Anyway, I just am beside Myself over all this...cause I FINALLY thought I git to have a home.. and started to bring in a couple things and started looking inside the cabinets..and I about lost My mind over how detrimental it made Me and My situation...cause There is NO WAY that I would bring My things in there, My service dog that notifies Me if I'm gonna have a seizure.. and interestingly enough, He ALWAYS KNOWS before My defribulator is gonna go off, too ...and HE let's Me know!!!😍it's sooo amazing! He is PRICELESS Buddy that takes care of Me...but I wouldn't dare bring Him in that nastiness...or My Grandsons that BOTH have asthma and one has a epi pen cause of His allergic reactions that are Sooo dangerous!!!

I am in a rental that A housing navigator helped me find while on emergency voucher for housing . I am now transitioning to section 8 and the section 8 amount is 100 dollars less than my rent . I am disabled and use a CPAP and on SSI and disability and cannot move again . The place I'm in is a single level mobile home it's close to laundry room and trash bin so I don't have to walk far my Drs are mins away and I get my prescriptions are filled less than a block away . Also I can afford the utilities and was lucky to get into where I'm at due to credit issues . But my worker is telling me the rent is too high not fair market value . My first housing specialist told me we wouldn't have to move once we transitioned a year later after getting all settled in and comfortable they say I have to move which is will not find a place that checks all the boxes and I can afford with parking close enough for me to carry groceries from car to door . I've had multiple strokes heart attacks colon cancer COPD and this doesn't allow me to get a higher allowance to remain in my home ??

I cannot find another rental using the sect.8. I am in jeopardy of being homeless at this point. This is not a comforting thought . HA authority manager keeps telling me to look at from his point. I say, because you have drawn a line in the sand with this landlord, I ultimately am the one to suffer his decision

Hi I just stumbled across your videos in the very informative. And I also a cat rescuer. I worked with some local agencies Town cats and nine lives and Himalayan rescues but mainly with Town cats. I would get calls from the shelter asking if I would be able to bottle feed Three bottle babies that were surrendered I said yes and I end up with like nine because they will euthanize them if the local groups haven't responded I've become a last resort. This was a couple years ago and I'm getting back into it again. I've seen a lot I've done a lot I might have some helpful tips and not sure if anything. But I've subscribed love your channel

I once had a section 8 housing offer but I refused it i couldn't financially afford it and I can't live on my own because I have autism

So, I don’t understand why you would have any problem affording it, but, keep that in mind, if they don’t ask why and, please go to the Human Resources Services/ Community Services in your area, let someone know and, have a copy of paperwork to show them proof, I am sure they can help you get things resolved! It definitely sounds like management was being basis and, it sounds like something is going on with Housing Authority over the building! Ask questions where, why, what and, how, next time take a relative or a case manager.

Jay my name is David and i have had a neck fusion Dec 2016. I never got better and now my left hip goes out at times and i cant walk for days and my muscles spasm all the time. Im on pain medicine and medical cannabis and i see a new doctor Monday that offers many other treatments so i have my fingers crossed. Currently i am renting a room but that house will be sold in the coming months so i was told to start looking. I have applied for an apartment and section 8 in Oklahoma city. My friend has offered to move in with me because i do not need to be showering alone and she is always the one who takes me where i need to go. Like the store and doctors appointments. I have been on social security disability since 2018. Would that be a reasonable accommodation to ask for a 2nd bedroom so she can have somewhere to stay since i need someone there for my medical needs? I am on disability with two 80 year old parents in there home in Houston, Texas. I was involved in a car accident that broke my back. I can walk but everything is hard as hell. To think I worked overseas in the petrochemical industry making over $100,000+ per year. I lost my wife, child, house, and money. All I have left is my furniture in storage. It’s in Las Vegas, NV. I have no idea how to get back into a house on disability with crazy housing prices and no down payment. I receive $1900 per month and all that goes to storage, upkeep of my parents, and expenses. Where do I start to get back into a house in Las Vegas (or close to town) because my son is still there. Thanks!

I have a section 8 voucher in a complex that doesn’t transfer anywhere except possibly another project complex. I want to use a voucher to go to another complex. When I came to this complex with section 8 I was not given information of the issue of moving to another complex that is not project. I wouldn’t have come here then. No one can help us me now at the county and I feel trapped!

I'm in Wilmington, NC. The wait list is always closed. The site says it's closed due to the long list already on it. It says they don't know when it will reopen.
Secondly, everything here is crap, bad areas, really bad areas, only apartments and often terrible because most are for many reasons.
So, what can I do to find help for rent? I'm disabled and renting a house.
I can't live in apartments. I can't afford to move. I can't live with other people due to several reasons.
I don't know what to do. In NC, month to month has so rules on amount it can increase. They are increasing it $300.
I don't know where else to look for help. I want to work from home and have plans to do that. I'm just not ready.
It should be wrong for a Housing Authority wait list to stay closed, not accepting any applicants and only having bad locations, only apartments and very few single family houses. Those are also not in good areas.
It's terrible. I do want to move. I can't afford to now.

Why do we need a broker to get something that is our right as disabled? Why is this happening? I've worked my entire life. Got a voucher in Fla but there was NO AVAILABLE HOUSING FOR A SINGLE PERSON!! Even got them to switch me to another county because I'm willing to move even! NO AVAIL HOUSING AGAIN!! Ten years now I'm homeless. No help. No nothing. This is beyond torture to do this to human beings. In sorry. I'm frustrated. It's an abomination what is happening to people in this country.
