I had my rook done yesterday and OMG i was so happy that it didn’t hurt at all! The pain is different for everyone but these comments made me so scared. It doesn’t hurt at all

@@ugotnojams7312Ik I’m not the OP but I’ll answer you regardless to try and help you out. I got my rook pierced in April of 2022. It is now February of 2023. I would say it’s about 90% healed by now. Honestly I think the healing process was more painful/irritating than actually getting the piercing done in the shop. Rooks take quite a long time to heal (I believe 6-12 months). Just make sure you keep cleaning it with antibacterial soap every day and avoid sleeping on it at all costs. 😊 If you have any serious questions, please contact your piercer! I am not a professional so don’t just take my advice! 😅😂

I want to get mine done but I’m so nervous. My mom got the piercing that’s supposed to help with headaches. She said it hurt . I know there not the same thing . I really want to get mine done but I’m so scared to do so.
I am shocked! So glad it didn’t hurt her - I got mine yesterday and it was the most painful thing ever, I even got light headed and thought I might pass out😳
Same here when I got my piercing it hurt so bad and I’m scared to change it because I fear that it will also be painful
I got mine done 2 years ago. I have 6 piercings and it was the 2nd most painful. It was excruciating but it was fine once he was putting the jewelry in. It didn't hurt after. Only 3 nights was it a little sore while sleeping. By day 5 I was sleeping on it. It healed so fast too.
I had mine done too and thought it was one of the most painful piercings I’ve had and I’ve got my nipple and Christina done
Yeah, I think Ik what you mean, I mean I never got 1, however, I always feel like that when I get injected, WHITCH IS EVERY TIME I GO TO THE DOCTOR 🥲

Had my rook pierced yesterday, pain scale 8 out of 10. Ouch. But so worth it, I love it.

Just had my conch pierced today by Harrison and he is awesome!!! Level of pain 0.
For me, the rook hurt more than my conch and my tragus, but it doesn't get as irritated as the other two during the healing process!
I got a rook and a mid helix done three days ago. The pain was a whopping nine out of ten for me, but it's so cute! I am definitely getting more done next year.
How has your healing been? I’m getting mine done in my left ear along with my conch. I have to wait a little longer tho because my helix in my right ear is still being a little bitch.
I just got my rook and tragus done a few hours ago and let me tell you, everyone says the rook is one of the most painful piercings to get, for me it was about a 2/10 on the pain scale… on the other hand everyone says the tragus is one of the less painful ones but it was like a 6-7/10 for me
Rooks don’t hurt but the healing is long.
I’m upto 7 months and still not completely healed. Flares up and gets irritated occasionally too. Still cleaning it twice a day.
It took my upper helix a full year to heal. That’s typical from what I hear. I was like you. After 7-8 months I’d go a few weeks without tenderness, but it would flare up and be nearly as tender as the first few weeks.
For those wondering, the best way to prevent this is by NOT TOUCHING the piercing. In my experience a piercing heals best if you forget you even got it
@@Shitgotmegeekin How would you clean it? I the rook piercing but I’m using a q-tip to clean it.
@@guerdivictor1092 I recommend gauze instead of q-tips bc they have fibres that can irritate the piercing :))
My experience was just the opposite. The actual piercing was so painful but it was easy afterward and healed so quickly.
Just got my rook piercing! It was a 1 out of 10.
I have this piercing ngl when I got it pain level was a 11/10 that shiiii hurt so bad but I love this piercing !!
just got mine re-pierced yesterday. first time, just pressure. second time? burned like a mofo. healing period is long...last time I had it 10 months and it never stopped hurting. let's hope this time works!

Honestly rook hurts the least. I got mine done a month ago and it was amazing pain level was 0/10. It might be different for everyone but for me it didn’t hurt at all I just it and if I talk about the healing process it doesn’t hurt that much, just while you’re cleaning it hurts a bit like 1/10 other than that it’s amazing I was even able to sleep on it right after getting it pierced but yeah it’s not recommend by the piercers. I got my tragus done the same day and yeah tragus didn’t hurt too while getting pierced but healing process of tragus is way painful.
I pierced & reprieved many parts of my years more than I can even remember over the years, none really hurt some just sore for abit but the rook was the only one that really hurt. Luckily it’s only for like 4 seconds
My rook hurt more than my daith and conch but I still love it. Still pretty swollen after a week but not much pain after the 3rd day

I have 7 and have a rook, but for me the most painful was helix, so yaaa
i have 8 and my latest was my rook and it was by far the most painful
i got my rook piercing today it hurts will getting it pierced but ppl in the comments are being so dramatic it doesn’t hurt as bad as i thought it would plus it stopped hurting after 5 minutes and it’s been 6 hours after i got it pierced and it hasn’t hurt since
did you experience swelling and tenderness a few weeks in? bc i felt the same way with my conch 😭😭
@@uyuvt i have a rock and conch ( i got them pierced at the same time ) and i promise you the rock hurt a little bit more then getting a conch ( for me i know my isnt the same for everyone ) and no my rock didn’t get swollen or tenderness the day i got it pierced as a pain level of 4/10 my ear was just really hot since i got a conch and rock on the same ear but the day after i got the rock it didn’t hurt and my rock never hurted ( just don’t sleep on it since it can also bleed which is normal but cleaning a rock after bleeding kinda hurts since the cleaning process you have to move the rock around a lot and if your healing a rock don’t touch it at all like at all ) but for me the rock was probably like a 5/10 pain level (btw of your ear gets hot it doesn’t hurt it’s just hot ) and the healing process been going great i didn’t have any problems only the only time it was bleeding but make sure you have enough space for a rock piercing ( then it doesn’t get swollen easier or having enough space then it’s easier to clean and take care of it )

@@aainaarnayar5101 oh okay, well you should be cleaning the back and front of it with saline spray at least twice a day. Try not to move it as much, like twisting it, so it doesn’t cause irritation/piercing bumps.

I had a rook after I got my daith, and tragus done. And I regretted the rook. The healing just was terrible. No infection just the swelling made it impossible to be comfortable. The pressure was unreal. But also I had the 2 metal balls so maybe that's why the pressure was bad bcz of them pushing up into my lobe. Idk but if I had a ring like hers I would of kept it in. But it was bye bye after day 4 for me...
which hurt more when getting pierced , your rook or your tragus?
@@phoebes1059 the rook hurt more for me. But it also depends on your pain tolerance. I have a really high pain tolerance so it wasn’t that bad and not as painful as you’d think

I have a super low pain tolerance and I didn't feel anything. It's my least painful piercing and I have both my tragus pierced, conch, 2 helix, rook and triple lobes piercings.

@@phoebes1059 i got both my rook and tragus pierced on the same day (tragus first and then rook). They usually say that the more u get they get more and more painful but if i've got to be honest my tragus was like a 8/10 whereas my rook was 1/10. I've had them for about 6 months now.. the tragus can be difficult from time to time because of sleeping on that side so it pushes right against your pillow whereas the rook is tucked in so not much problems with it. I even slept on it the first night i got it and it's all fine but it gets annoyed from time to time and decides to swell up but with no pain just swells up and goes down by itself. I went to my piercing place yesterday and managed to get it changed (rook) and it feels so nice getting it changed haha (maybe its just me). If you're deciding between them 2 i'd definitely say the rook, personally i like the way it looks a lot more and also mainly because it was less painful for me, but don't let pain be the main factor whether u should get it or not. Go for it ! :)

My rook hurt so bad 😢. Im coming into my 5 month of having it and it is super painful and infected. On 500mg antibiotics 3 times a day 😭😭
I got my 4th lobe piercings done with a piercing gun and it only hurt me a 1/10, so based on my pain tolerance can anyone help maybe guess what my pain level would be for a rook?? Cuz i really wanna get one!
I mean lobe piercings are the least painful piercing there is, which is why children get them frequently. I’d say it only being a 1/10 is typical. Kind of impossible to tell you how painful it would be for you, you’d just have to get a cartilage piercing to see. Completely different feeling than lobe.
I don’t rly remember my first lobe piercings bc I was very young. My 2nd lobe piercings were probably like a 3/10. For me getting the rook pierced initially was about a 6/10 but the healing/cleaning it the first few months was ROUGH ngl, about an 7.5/10. Especially when I accidentally rolled over in bed and slept on it.💀
From my own experience and also what I have heard from others, rooks tend to be very sore and take a long time to heal. I love my piercing though, it’s been about 10 months now since I got it done 😊

I got my right rook piercing yesterday and I vomited afterwards. It's the following day and I feel really nauseous as I'm trying to clean it. Is this normal?
