Bravo Chrysler! The Pacifica should sell extremely well. I wish they would bring back the rear side vent windows and the ability to flip open just the rear glass hatch tho.
6:25, Does it have a sensor to prevent the person in the driver seat from getting crushed if a person seating at the 2nd row accidentally pushed that button?
We rented it 2 years ago for 2 weeks, 4000 miles roadtrip. It was awesome! The most comfortable car for 6 passengers I can think of which still drives normally and not like a bus. Just keep in mind that it's in fact for 6 passengers. If you want to squeeze 3 people in the last row, they have to be relatively small children. But it's really a perfect car for 6 adults travelling on long distances.
Bought one about 8 weeks ago, doesn't really feel like a minivan inside, more like a crossover and we like the exterior styling. Took five years for my wife to break down and get a minivan, and she really likes it. Never bothered looking at the honda or toyota equivalents. The uconnect theater is amazing, I put in a raspberry pi 3 with kodi, plugs right into the hdmi port and the usb ports are 2.5 amp so no need for an AC adapter. Interior looks and feels like good quality. Pros: Interior/Exterior, technology, quiet, and rides nice. Cons: two tone color schemes for the interior, 50% Black 50% White (ours). Too much white if you have kids. It's still a minivan! Having said that, it is an excellent people/cargo mover, and serves our needs quite well, and is a hundred times nicer then the outgoing models. Could have saved 15k buying a caravan/t&c, but opted for the Pacifica and we are glad we did.
@Area 51 Massacre Say what you will, but you could not effing PAY me to drive a rice burning , fugly, pile of garbage . I used to own a Honda and that was the worst piece of shit ever, Parts start falling off at less than a year old and guess who would not fix shit under warranty,so yeah eff Honda.
+Nicholas Colburn good question. The Window sticker has the vacuum listed as part of the limited package and later it said vacuum delete...so I am not sure. I would guess it just depends on what options you add on to the limited ..
The Limited Does come standard with a vacuum. The Vacuum Delete is where instead of a vacuum, you get an inflatable spare tire. You get a tire blow up kit with either option.
Hi any issues so far so far you have had the van for a while now you can give a real good review??? I keep hearing of eng stalling while driving 😬and sliding door issues ???
It looks like FCA may have a best seller minivan with the Pacifica. I've noticed a lot of them have the lighter two toned interiors. That might not be a good idea with a family full of grubby crumb snatchers running amok throughout the interior.
Well they usually have the best seller van AND the 2nd or 3rd best seller nearly every year since 1984...This one will sell alongside the T&C for the rest of 2016 model year and the Dodge GC will be available for at least 18 more months. Maybe they will go 1-2-3 by the end of 2016...
That van is fantastic! It's also like a autopilot. It has everything like backup camera, sunroofs, that sto n,go storage. We have a 2010 dodge grand caravan. It's great. crystler, dodge, jeep, and RAM.
I will be purchasing a Limited fully loaded next year. Hopefully they will offer an AWD option by then, being in Canada and all for the winter. From what I understand this thing comes with optional Bluray and a 20 speaker Harmon Kardon sound system. My 1st minivan...gonna do it right!! Awesome vid man
AWD will never be an option for the Pacifica. A platform has to be designed from the beginning to be AWD. It's not something you can add later in the model run like a new engine or new interior features.
Chrysler have not decided make 8 seats limited yet, I tired order it but they said they not sure they will make it or not, will make decision 2 months later,
+maoss40 yeah the salesperson told me it was because of the sun roof. The seat belt for the 8th seat stores in the roof. Maybe in they will make a trim level with everything the limited has but no sun roof. These things have so many options you could make a 30min video on it.
Worse is you can't slap-shift it down for hill climbing (which it struggles with). The old T&C shifter on the dash made that easy. Hate this new Pacifica; not nearly as nice a car. Only the A/V is better and I can stay home for that. As a traveling van this is a big step down.
After a year and 16,000 mile, my Pacifica Limited is superior in every way to the previous generation vans. I've had access to 3 vans from 3 previous generations--my spouse had them as company cars from 2007 to 2017. They were certainly good relative to their competition but this latest generation is better. The ride and handing is excellent, power is better and 0-60 times prove this. Economy is comparable or better. Features and electronics are exceptional. I purchased this as my work vehicle and haven't regretted the decision. Lastly...and with all due respect ...if you can't use the shift knob without causing a catastrophe; you shouldn't be driving.
Am I the only who is bothered by bobbing steering wheel as it rotates? How difficult it is to have the center of the steering wheel to be perfectly centered in manufacturing? I notice this more in domestic cars. I am now wondering if there is a technical reason rather just a sloppy manufacturing?
I have owned mine for 8 months now and love it!!!! Check out a great group on facebook of these Chrysler minivan owners! facebook.com/groups/Chryslerminivans/
+Pat Alexander I going to guess that what your saying is , the Pacifica rides so nice that when your a passenger you are unaware of the world outside of the van. I am hoping your not commenting on my driving ability .haha Thanks for watching!
I guess we all have our own opinions about styling. I happen to like the looks of the lower end models because they are simpler looking and not gawdy. The higher end models with all the chrome and big wheels and crazy wheel covers are a huge turn off for me!
+global amber yeah. I was referring to comments I had herd. It's been said that people do not like the idea of lane assist because they think people will take advantage of the lane assist to text or check emails. I do not support texting and driving in any way at all. Thanks for watching
This thing is horrible looking. Like the body style of the 2016 back to 2008 better. 91-95 looked good too. This thing looks too futuristic hate that rear end. I 'll thing I will stick with the years I mentioned. Chrysler have lost me if they do this to The Grand Caravan as well.
oldschoolbass, you should drive one of these. You'll be amazed at the way it drives. Powerful, yet good mileage, quiet, and loaded with great features. I could not believe that mini-vans had come this far.
Chrysler and Fiat made a live child. Both products are famous for their unreliable vehicles and poor build quality. I'll stick with proven quality. Honda or Toyota.
rod22lt it's ugly in my opinion. My dad owns a 2012 Odyssey, the rear looks sexy compared with the Pacifica's rear end. The Pacifica's rear end looks like a mustache, the Odyssey's looking like a robot. The interior of the Pacifica is fabulous! Such a beauty, otherwise ugly. I really like the luxury found in the Pacifica minivan, it's a hundred times better than the Odyssey, considering the Pacifica (minivan) is 5 years newer. Ugly but beautiful are the words I give the 2017 Pacifica. The original Pacifica really fit my taste.
+Ryan Hollister I think it's a smart move by FCA. They are trying to reach a younger market. Honda and Toyota have been the go to for people my age looking for a van. This is FCA trying to get in on that action. I am guilty of looking at the town and country as a van for grandpa. I personally think they will do well with this van. Thanks for watching.
Not good. Just returned my off-lease Town & County on a Pacifica. Bad move; wish I could have the other one back. The seats were better; the new one has little thigh support while the old ones were more nicely finished and very comfortable. The "console" is a joke - the old one will be missed with all it's storage and space, in easy reach. The new one looks like a cheap aftermarket "tray" - it sits on the floor and offers little storage, much of which no one can reach; it's too far forward and under the dash. 3 people have tried plugging into its lighter or USB socket and all had to open the door & hang out of the car to reach it. Visibility - a hallmark in the T&C - is no longer great. The back window is smaller and the rear-view mirror annoyingly smaller to match it. The side view mirrors have a smaller field and it's harder to see the blind spot. The engine seems more sluggish, and unlike the dash-mounted shifter of it's predecessor you can't slap shift it down to climb hills (which it struggles with). The only plus is a more modern A/V system. Big deal; stay home if you want to watch movies. If you want to hit the road find a low-mileage T&C and pass on this thing. Wish I had.
I recently rented a Chrysler Pacifica.
Great car!
So, how long before the transmission fails?
Bravo Chrysler! The Pacifica should sell extremely well.
I wish they would bring back the rear side vent windows and the ability to flip open just the rear glass hatch tho.
6:25, Does it have a sensor to prevent the person in the driver seat from getting crushed if a person seating at the 2nd row accidentally pushed that button?
+2SLipo gosh I hope so! I didn't try haha. I would think they thought of that but I will try and give you a for sure answer Asap
Any answer yet?
We rented it 2 years ago for 2 weeks, 4000 miles roadtrip. It was awesome! The most comfortable car for 6 passengers I can think of which still drives normally and not like a bus. +Doug C Thanks for your input and for watching
Bought mine a month ago and LOVE it! wouldn't be caught dead driving a Honda or any other cheap piece of junk
MrPonca77
Oh, the irony! 🤣
Pacifica is a cool vehicle. Cool tech but it is a complete piece of garbage. They dont hold up. Mechanic here
@Area 51 Massacre Say what you will, but you could not effing PAY me to drive a rice burning , fugly, pile of garbage . I used to own a Honda and that was the worst piece of shit ever, Parts start falling off at less than a year old and guess who would not fix shit under warranty,so yeah eff Honda.
Nice video. Just wanted to add that the space where the 2nd row seats can be stored makes for great storage with the seats up.
You can almost fit a mouthy toddler in each well...
Does it have a cd player? My dad doesn't like any other way of listening to music on a car but on cd
+Juan Ramos I am not 100% sure. I didn't play with the radio because I don't have much time with the dealer cars
Yes it has blu ray DVD player also can play audio
Doesn't the limited model come with a vacuum? Or is it a separate option.
+Nicholas Colburn good question. The Window sticker has the vacuum listed as part of the limited package and later it said vacuum delete...so I am not sure. I would guess it just depends on what options you add on to the limited ..

Very nice minivan

Agree - white interior with rugrats is gonna look like sh*t pretty fast.
Does is have right steering model?
I just want this one on AWD....maybe a version where only one middle seat can get in hide to give space for the transmission...
That van is fantastic! It's also like a autopilot. It has everything like backup camera, sunroofs, that sto n,go storage. We have a 2010 dodge grand caravan. It's great. crystler, dodge, jeep, and RAM.
Can you do another review on a mini van. I would love to get information about Toyota Sienna.
+Deborah Masih I will try and get my hands on one. Thanks for watching
Just bought a 2017 Touring-L Plus for $33,500.00 😊
I will be purchasing a Limited fully loaded next year. Hopefully they will offer an AWD option by then, being in Canada and all for the winter. I read it has been designed to accommodate AWD if they choose to go there.
The outgoing models had the option so I'm sure it will be offered, I live where they build them

It's available as an option on the Limited which also adds the 20 inch tires and deletes the sunroof.
Great video van is fantastic, is it has front camera ?
+tony tuhan yeah it has the 360 camera option witch is really cool. Thank you!
Great video! You should have like 500,000 subscribers
+Garrett Slabach thanks!
keep your hands on the wheel
Ill like the crossover look better.
everything is awesome until you mistake the shifter nob for the volume nob and throw the van in reverse or park going 60mph
knman00 Tried it. It. Won't let you.
2018 Hyundai Azera
I agree. I always reach for the shifter knob to change the volume on the radio.
Worse is you can't slap-shift it down for hill climbing (which it struggles with). The old T&C shifter on the dash made that easy. Hate this new Pacifica; not nearly as nice a car. Only the A/V is better and I can stay home for that. As a traveling van this is a big step down.

+12vgs8606 no your not alone. It bugs me too. I would imagine its technical reason.
Glenbrook dodge. Located in ft wayne Indiana. Originally thought that place was in Dayton.
American can build great cars too! This is a GREAT COUNTRY we can build nice cars too!! Long live United States of America!!!!! 🤗👌👍
+Gloria Davis thanks for watching!
Gloria Davis imported from Detroit ;)
is p lagoon. Lisbon
I have owned mine for 8 months now and love it!!!! Check out a great group on facebook of these Chrysler minivan owners! facebook.com/groups/Chryslerminivans/
that van look like my but i love it😌😌😌😌😌😌😌😌😌😌
Why is subtle beter???? SMH
You need a driver and you can do your review as a passenger! You have no idea of your surroundings!
+Pat Alexander I going to guess that what your saying is , the Pacifica rides so nice that when your a passenger you are unaware of the world outside of the van. I am hoping your not commenting on my driving ability .haha Thanks for watching!
Comment not about the passengers!

Don't buy this vehicle with a nine speed transmission, major problems.
Haven't heard abt any major problems w/ the transmission what is wrong with it. I've only heard positive news abt. it.
Chrysler and Fiat made a live child. Both products are famous for their unreliable vehicles and poor build quality. I'll stick with proven quality. Honda or Toyota.
Rip off.....Ill take a Honda Odyssey SE, comes with Rear Entertainment System, Sirius, Rear Camera, and side camera for $32,000
yeah definitely😂
haywood16
But I'd stab myself in the eyes if I had to look at that Honda everyday. Pacifica will dominate all mvans
I would never buy a Chrysler product....worthless

also a fully loaded Pacifica is $45,000....no thanks
The Chrysler Pacifica is a disappointment and Chrysler should never have killed the town and country
The Pacifica is only a good vehicle if it's the top-of-the-line limited all other base model suck
Only positive thing I'll say about the Pacifica is it's very fast and probably the fastest out of all minivans
+Ryan Hollister I think it's a smart move by FCA. They are trying to reach a younger market. Honda and Toyota have been the go to for people my age looking for a van.
